So sad. If Tom Brady was the qb he would have gotten killed. I believe he got sick of not being protected and forced his way out. Unfortunately he went for the money and went to a team with no one around him. I feel he will do well in Pittsburgh with better coaching and talent around him.

He’s a great player. The problem with the end of his run in Seattle is that ownership spent too much money on Russell Wilson and too little to build up the rest of them team when the Legion of Boom left. Russell Wilson deserves to get rewarded for his hard work like anyone else but when it comes to the NFL you have to balance between reward your players for hard work and maintaining a team that can win Super Bowls.

I was in hog heaven. What a life.
He took the lead in Atlanta with 42 seconds left in the playoffs his rookie year. The defense that "carried" him couldn't hold atl out of field goal range.
The end for Russ was on the goal line in the fourth quarter durring his second superbowl. He called an audible because he wanted to throw the game winning touchdown pass because he was still bitter about not winning MVP the year before. Instead, he effectively threw away his career by being selfish. He had Marshawn fucking Lynch in his backfield and needed one yard. They could have told the Pat's what play they were running and still made it. It was brilliant the way Carrol played out the end of Russels' contract, though. Fooled the whole league into thinking Russ was still an elite quarterback who could single handedly win games.
Russ didn't really fall. He just got older. That led to him being banged up a little more and losing quickness/agility, thus losing a big part of what made him Russ

I see a lot of myself in Russell Wilson. He undoubtedly has ADD and could possibly be on the edge of the autism spectrum, as I also am. I would also suspect an IQ north of 140 - probably somewhere around 160 on logic and 125 or creativity. It's scary how much I understand what's going on in his head. You ever have that friend who you never talk to for months or years, then you run into each other and it's all good? We need people like that in our lives. I'm also somewhat reclusive because I'm afraid of my social awkwardness. I could not imagine trying to fit into an NFL locker room without just being "wrong." Give the man some space - if you can, ask the questions. The right questions.
Such an interesting take... I see the same. I personally think being forced to be in the spotlight as a result of being married to Ciara along with the Future Drama that came with it may have distracted him. People on the Spectrum and/or ADD perfect their craft by locking in and being a recluse which he has always been able to do... I think he may be suffering from Autistic Burnout... from the extensive amount of masking he has to do in order to " fit " as Ciara's husband. He once admitted that he thought Ciara was "out of his league." That says a lot about how he sees himself... socially awkward and perhaps nervodivergent. He fell in love with her when he saw her "Ride" video.. She most likely represented the popular girl in HS that was idolized by the nerdy guy. He also admited that his biggest fear was losing her.. I think he meant that losing her interest. So the duality in his life is like no other Star NFL player. Must be tough.
Ima be honest and idk if any other deal hawks fans agree with me on this I’m not that shocked to be honest that his career went downhill what made him such a good QB was his ability to run the ball even though we had good seasons his last three years in Seattle he wasn’t running the ball as much, which is what made him such a lethal QB
I for one think he'll turn it around in Pittsburgh, but not to the height of his early days in Seattle. He's not quite as mobile and that was a big factor, getting out of the pocket. But Pittsburgh can build players because of the salary cap gift and the whole team could make a run. Just not on his back alone.
Had Russ been humble and told Pete not to give him special treatment. He may not have lost his confidence due to teammate dislike. Plus if he had done a Brady used his contracts to get better at other positions I think the Hawks wouldn't have fallen off, they may have even got back to the Superbowl. Woulda, shoulda, coulda...all speculation now.
As a Seahawk fan, there was a satisfaction watching Russ tank at Denver, "finding out the grass isn't greener" For those who don't know Russ made a statement saying he wasn't going anywhere and 2 weeks later he left for Denver. This left a foul taste in alot of hawks fans mouth which is why he was booed like crazy when he returned. Now I'm rooting for him and would love nothing more than for him to kick ass for the Steelers. as a last kind of "FU" to SP. "I steel got it"
He hasn't ever fallen off. He is a super bowl champion. Was a 2 time MVP contender. He should've won in 2020-21 but the man is a hall of famer. He will always be my favorite quarterback of all time
In 2013 you said the Seahawks swept the regular season series against San Francisco we actually tied 1-1 with Seattle destroying san Fran in Seattle and San Francisco winning a close one in san Francisco
The management knew what they had in Wilson but never drafted to Wilson strength. Never replace Marshall Lynch .so defense's could key on the mini me quarterback. Blame management
I am not sure how good Russell was supposed to be. I think Pete and John wanted an x-factor QB, but not a goat. Russell Wilson is a great QB, and he has a clutch like talent - or at least he did. But people get confused that consistent flashes of brilliance (which he had in spades particularly at the end of games) is NOT the same thing as someone who can carry a team on his shoulders despite all odds. There was a time where defenses just couldn't play him consistently because he was so illusive. He did his best work out of the pocket, and it was really difficult to contain him because he could wriggle out. So you couldn't contain him consistently, and he was too fast for rushers, and either way he made you pay. I think he started losing that ability towards the later half of the decade, even in 2015 and 2016. He still played at a high level and could do magical things, but the Seahawks became instead of a well rounded team, a team that depended more and more on Russell being magic. He had lost just a sliver of illusiveness, but if you see the narrow margins of how he escaped earlier in his career, all it took was that sliver to help defenses catch him. Man how I wish he could have stayed humble and adjusted his own expectations of himself, but I know how hard that is for generationally talented people to do, especially when they are at their peak.
The next installment will be the rise and fall and rise of Russell Wilson. The Steelers know what they are doing. They are going to put Wilson in a position to succeed while they try to get Fields straightened out. If Fields is able to learn how to read defenses the Steelers will look like genuses. We may end up looking back on this in a few years as the big quarterback story of the year. By the way I am not being a homer, I am a Vikings fan.

WELCOME TO STEELERS NATION BABBBYYY🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ima be honest and idk if any other deal hawks fans agree with me on this I’m not that shocked to be honest that his career went downhill what made him such a good QB was his ability to run the ball even though we had good seasons his last three years in Seattle he wasn’t running the ball as much, which is what made him such a lethal QB
Mr Unlimited will be a bench warmer in the CFL next year.
Seattle didn't sweep the Niners in 2013 in the regular season. They split the home games.
"I steel got it"
Awesome video. Same narrator as Nonstop Sports??
He hasn't ever fallen off. He is a super bowl champion. Was a 2 time MVP contender. He should've won in 2020-21 but the man is a hall of famer. He will always be my favorite quarterback of all time
Rise and fall?? Russell is a legend in the game he hasn't fallen whatsoever .
Crazy 💊
Did you, like not see the last 2 years?
No he is not
How are y’all feeling about Pittsburgh Russ? Too early to tell but the one game he started so far he was great once again.
In 2013 you said the Seahawks swept the regular season series against San Francisco we actually tied 1-1 with Seattle destroying san Fran in Seattle and San Francisco winning a close one in san Francisco
His career are numbered
Steelers Nation, let's weld
As a Packer fan ill always be tormented by the fail mary
Which particular Packer are you a fan of?
I miss prime Russel Wilson😢😢😢
Russell*
your videos are great.
Wilson has talent but maybe it comes down to coaching and play calling? I don't know but Seattle seems to own Denver for the last decade.
Shows you how much defense wins football games. Russ was good, but as soon as that defense went down, he couldn't carry em.
Russ went corporate, stayed stiff and aloof, and he demanded unrealistic money. Meanwhile, the league adapted to his weaknesses. He buried himself.
Can you do the story of Brock Purdy next
The management knew what they had in Wilson but never drafted to Wilson strength. Never replace Marshall Lynch .so defense's could key on the mini me quarterback. Blame management
Marshawn* Lynch / defenses* (plural, no apostrophe)
Fall of Wilson ? He had 10 Very good Seasons. 9 times Pro ball..so what ?
After the goaline interception he was never the same…that Super Bowl ruined him and his confidence
John cena “are you sure about that”
I miss the 2013-2015 Seahawks...😭
It all started with that SB pass 💀
Oh you mean Mr. Unliiiiiiiiiiiiimeted.
Couldn’t have been said any better 💯 ⬛️🟨
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If not for Pete Carroll's idiotic call in the Super Bowl, Wilson's legacy might be completely different!
Wilson threw the ball.
@@garylasseter2978 THE COACH MADE THE CALL!!!!!!
Russ shoulda called an audible & just ran it. But no dude wanted to be a hero
@@the_auditor1017 You can try to let Carrol off the hook all you want, BUT HE MADE THE CALL!!!!!!
@@the_auditor1017 he was 25 years old and a 3rd year QB lmao pete caroll was a legend at usc what are you even saying, you acting like russ was a veteran in that moment.
Seems to be doing ok now, welcome to Pittsburgh Russ
He is a good qb still
He’s an ok qb at best
He was balling out before they benched him even with that garbage roster
@@VonJaye LMFAO "balling out" he had like 200 yards a game
@@VonJayehe sucks what are you yapping about
@Noooosam 28 tds to 8 ints is bad?
One last shot in the “Steel City”
He also got married to Ciara and she HATED the Pacific Northwest…the rain, gloomy weather and general dampness…
Doug Flutie didn't meet HFL hight requirements either . He only got to play in the NFL after being a star for many years in Canada somethimes the size of the heart is more important than the dize of the body
I blame Ciara. Fame got into Russ's head.
His mistake was not taking a pay cut back in Seattle
I hope Justin Fields remains the starter in Pittsburgh when Russell comes back from injury.
The starting QB job should never have been given to Wilson just like that after the Steelers acquired Fields in a trade. Should’ve had a QB competition in training camp in the first place.
I say Russell Wilson is a has been.
Ego was the reason he fell from grace
