Apart from adult Jack's facial features resembling John's, the reason I believe John really is Jack's father is he left the gang for awhile because he couldn't deal with it. If there was a doubt John could've just claimed it wasn't his kid and wouldn't have run off.
There's actually a pretty good chance that Jack could have been Arthur's son, since Arthur had warm feelings for her even after John and Abigail's relationship. Roger Clarke said that according to one version of the plot, Arthur and Abigail's relationship was closer than in the game. So John couldn't know about intrigue between them
She wasn't, she gets very upset when Grimshaw tells her to prostitute herself, and Grimshaw never mentions that being her previous line of work. She's never portrayed as promiscuous in RDR2, so when Dutch said "we all had her" in RDR1, he was most likely lying to antagonize John while he being held at gunpoint, spinning his yarn saying whatever to make John slip up.
@@gameparade4527 In the first game npcs often mistaken jack as john because he looks a lot like him. John is the father. The only reason people think he isn't is because jack kind of styled his facial hair like javier
I don't care what theorists say I still believe Jack is John's biological son He just doesn't know how to be a father cause he never had one growing up
What’s confusing me, is how everyone says Jack looks just like Javier. No shit, the facial hair is identical, but last I checked the way you style your beard isn’t genetic 🤦♂️
@@petermiller5789 Exactly man. Even in guarma you can see his facial hair growing and he has a full beard without styling it. The facial hair stuff needs to stop
I mean is there realy proof of Abigail doing it with the whole gang ? In RDR 1 Dutch already became crazy and maybe saying these words he just tried to angry or insult John.
there is also the fact that there was gang members that died at the start of rdr2 that could be his father. Arthur being his father, yea nah he had a son and tried i don't think he would want another kid. not after what happened with Eliza and Issac.
It's DEFINITELY not Arthur, that would step on Isaac's reveal and he was probably with Mary at the time anyways. Roger has never hinted at that at all, he just said he had a soft spot for Abigail, another one of his many "missed opportunities". And Abigail straight treats him like a brother, while Arthurs feelings are hidden. He wants to save them because he sees his own family he lost in them. But personally, I think it's Dutch. You included the joke Gabriel and Rob had at that panel, but there's another interview where Benjamin says that not only does he believe that he's the father, but he literally used that thinking to inform some of his acting choices WHILE he was making the game. That's huge. And i think he was talking about how mad Dutch gets when Jack is taken, and how happy he is to have him back. He's also i think the only person, other than Abigail obviously, to tell John that Jack is especially his. Arthur never tells John that Jack is his son, he's also unsure, but Dutch DEFINITELY wants John to think that Jack is his. Sounds like a Dutch plan to me. And i'm pretty sure in rdr1 when Dutch talks about Abigail, he was mostly just antagonizing John, trying to make him do something stupid. Also in rdr2 Abigail gets incredibly upset with Grimshaw when she tells her to go prostituting, and Grimshaw never mentions that she did that in the past so there's a disconnect. My thinking is she probably slept with Dutch, the leader, as a way to ingratiate herself with the gang, and maybe later despises that she did it. maybe she was just flirtatious before she settled on John. Oh and one last thing, Jack is very smart. John nor Abigail are portrayed as particularly smart, but you know who is? Dutch. I just think it would be the most Rockstar move to have Dutch be Jack's biological father, who is then killed by his step/real father in John Marston.
Why does everyone forget uncle damn it. He literally met Abigail first as he introduced her to the gang. Poor jack is going to suffer from lumbago in future 😢

I honestly used to question whether Jack was John's biological son, especially after learning Abigail was essentially the Camp wh*re.
The truth probably is it's not his real son but as long as he's the parent figure then who knows lol

red dead 2's epilogue gives an errie feeling almost as if that arthur lives thru john and john thru jack

Jack has the same deadeye sound as John, which appears to be some sort of evidence that he really is his father.
John Marston and Jack Marston both die expect same in water on rdr1 so Jack as a son is father John.
