Throughout the film there are juxtaposing themes of fate and will. In this scene where she screams, I interpret this as her sheer will to save Manni (represented as her scream) changed her fate.
Lola had exactly *20 minutes* to save Manni.... 0:18 “Ninety-nine marks, *20,”* she said... 2:57 Lola screams for *EXACTLY 20 seconds...* 3:18 ...And it fucking *LANDS ON 20...* 😳 ...I can’t believe I never noticed that until now! 🤯
I love how when the baldheaded security guard told her it was time to go, she turned and looked at him with these eyes..:It hit him like a brick wall, he knew there was something going on here that he dare not mess With
She is a superhero. The entire movie is her discovering the extent of her powers, which appear to be limitless. She apparently can rewind time or reconstitute the situation in another reality but then REMEMBERS the previous times (like when she takes the safety off the gun). Here she is literally bending reality to her desires through sheer will. She's basically awakening to her own Godhood.
One of my favourite movie ever... Still remember in 1999 when I left the Cinemark movie theatre in Brasilia with my head spinning about the very fabric of reality... 1999 was the MATRIX year also.
@@wifinet8838so? Movies come out in cinemas the year after also. This guy says Brazil, so that’s probably why. Also what if the film came out in late 1998? And he saw it in early 1999
I know the film is only 80 minutes long, and the policeman was talking about football, but upon rewatching, in the beginning when he says "The Ball is round, the game (that ur about to watch) lasts 90 minutes, everything else is up to chance!" I thought a lot about this scene
I find it cool how only when she fixed her previous mistakes in sense of stopping wronging others on ther way to her goal only then things started to workout for her, which suggests a moral message
Love this classic gonzo style film making of instant Karma, though why Tykwer has Franka wearing the most uncomfortable bra in the world is mighty boggling.
Considering her sizeable windfall, should have given the roulette croupier a tip as well as the money changer. Should have compensated the place for the broken glasses too. I mean really.

Lola Jennings (Danielle Rose), Madison Cooper (Alexandra Freeman), Katie Watson (Megan Cherry), and Chloe Anderson (Camryn Lam) are the Scream Queens from Secret Agent Americas.
I love how she just enters a casino in very informal clothes, screams like crazy, and then leaves with a lot of money.
Boss as fuck.
Her scream reminds of that screaming boy in "Blechtrommel" written by Gunther Grass.
All of her frustration and hope was laid in this scream. Wonderful scene
She willed that ball into that slot with her scream.
she made it happen

Sometimes we all have these moments in life where we need things to work out when it comes down to it 😂 i definitely resonate with scene & her

It looks like 20 is really her lucky number.
i also can't believe i didn't count the seconds while watching the movie back then great eye ty!
One of the greatest scenes in cinema. No doubt.
Love me some run Lola run. 🏃♀️

You can almost hear that cashier's inner monologue. "I JUST gave you that 100 mark chip 5 minutes ago! What did you do?!"
Best scene in the movie.
Yeah, probably one of the best scenes.
The whole film is great I must add.
And the ending is brilliant. “What’s in the bag?”
I just love the whole music, its so well made
Way better than a lot of modern orchestrations

Great analysis!
The entire movie is we are all better then we believe we are.

This is the shittiest reading of a movie I've ever heard
So she remembers all the previous timelines?
She willed it to happen.

how interesting that the directors of this and the matrix teamed up for cloud atlas?

Just a great f’Ing movie. 😎👍
Such a relatable scene on so many levels!
going to casinos, screaming, then winning lots of money is my favorite activity and i do it on a regular basis😎
I also love the lesson: play until the moment when you won as much as necessary, don't push it
Remember, she was in a hurry
Una obra de arte

1:43 I missed Daniel Craig in the credits.

Were I the dealer at that table, they'd have my resignation notice that same day.

She really loves that boyfriend of hers, I don’t think many girls these days would go through all this.
And i wonder, what Manni would do for her...
like inverted Russian roulette.......
Aside from the fact this is a brilliant scene, why are there so many people in a casino at that time of the day? 🤔
Those are the ones who don't have to work to earn money quicker than they can spend it.
Because they have the Romanians, Bulgarians, Greeks, Turks, Poles, Africans and soon the Ukrainians do all the work for them at 300 Euros a month.

So disappointing to see society promoting such vile behaviour. Screaming in a casino is unacceptable and should never be promoted in film culture.
