I am driving a ClearTec since April 2023. My first one was a normal 1.3 (had that one for 3 years till someone needed to crash into it). They are just great for tax, mpg and insurance and quite cheap as well :)

Ваш Clear Tec був з дисковими гальмами спереду та позаду ?
І Чим відрізняється clear tec від інших моделей Colt?

Thanks for the great video, I am considering buying this exact model. One question about the sound deadening, how easy/hard is it to remove the inside panel of the doors? And what material do you recommend? Regards from Germany.

Hi! You are welcome I’am glad that you found the video helpful. The door panels are quite easy to remove to be fair. The application of the soundproofing took some time as it’s fidgety but it’s worth it. The sound deadening that I use was made by noico it is Butyl Automotive Sound Deadener

Note that if you take the 1.5 turbo variant with map and few mods you can forget economy and low road taxes, registration. But you do get a rocket with pops and bangs.

I have the same type of car.
The model year 2011 has a break-disk in the rear .
As an extra bonus, I have a better-quality stereo.
Some components are under the front driver seat,,very strange
I've been driving it for almost a year and haven't found a single problem.
Except that the air conditioning in my car no longer works.
Sometimes it is easy to have a little more space for suitcases etc. in the back.
But that can be solved by folding the back seat
There is only one major disadvantage.
The car may only tow 500 kg

I think for its size this is an amazing car . Great fue economy, reliable and nippy. And very importantly easy to park in busy areas.
      Wishing you all the best!

You can’t go wrong with a Japanese car, especially when your on a budget. The rear brakes are called shoes.
