I went to school in the 1950s and 60s. We never discussed race unless it involved history or current events. Probably one reason why I don't see race as significant today.
Born in 1955 and entered kindergarten in 1960. Academia has done horrible things to the world. Our generation was born into a bright new future. Current generations are being schooled to believe they have one foot cemented to a time before we were born.
Born 1987 and am white. Grew up playing with a little black boy, same baseball, soccer, basketball teams until the end of elementary his family moved away. My parents drove me 3 hours so we could spend a last weekend together ... Not once did i ever hear any racism towards him, no one coming up to me asking why im playing with a black boy... Race was never an issue and never mentioned .... Seems racism is on life support and theirs a large faction still trying to keep it alive for monetary reasons. The vast majority of people on this planet are very mixed genetically... Regardless of what tone our skin is.

Also that concept of blacks being inferior from the skull measurements, I can’t at all remember what that one was called, also stemmed from college. Before that there was never a racial superiority, it was just the weak holding power over the strong and then some idiot in academia made it an entire thing it wasn’t. Some years back I was in a DEI training that was mandatory for managers at Walgreen’s. I quit my job in the middle of it because it got so disgusting that my moral compass pointed at the door. My job was contingent on completing the training and I just couldn’t let that level of hate into my soul.

As a thought exercise, I wrote a paragraph regarding the educational system in Nazi Germany...
Schools and higher education were strictly regulated to align with the regime's ideologies. Teachers and professors who dissented were often removed from their positions, while students could face expulsion or arrest for opposing views. Research contradicting Nazi ideology was suppressed, and specialized institutes were established to support the regime's racial theories. The educational system was designed to propagate Nazi ideologies and harshly penalize any form of dissent.
Am I crazy, or does this narrative resonate with higher education in the US, albeit with modifications-replacing terms like Nazi, regime, etc., with Gender Studies, left/leftist, and attenuating the severity of punishments?

I was at Oxford from 94-97. During my time studying music there was no mention of race at all. The only remotely woke thing was an optional women composers course, which I didn't take, but from what I gathered it wasn't about belittling men. We just did what you would expect from a music degree: we studied music, from Gregorian chant to contemporary avantgarde.
Nowadays I have heard that the Oxford University music course has been completely infiltrated by race theory and woke bs. There is even a professor claiming that classical music is racist, because all the great composers are white. So, according to this professor, we should stop studying Mozart, who must have been a white supremacist, and study African drum beats. I would not want to study at Oxford today. It's simply not worth going through this kind of ideological brainwashing.
You are 💯 correct. A friend of mine recently graduated from an elite university with a music degree and (No lie here) almost ALL of his classes focused more on race/gender/sexuality than on music. He feels totally unprepared for getting a job in the field, he is not confident in his knowledge/skills/abilities in music, but he can tell you all about feminist theories, Marxism, CRT, colonialism, and so on-- cause that is what was taught. He basically got a degree in WOKENESS with some music sprinkled in. He also told me that in all of his classes the teachers made sure to really enforce the idea that all music created by white people is oppression, evil, AND inferior. His Music history teacher told the class "we will not listen to a single piece of white music here. They have been celebrates too long for their sub-par creations that are tools of violence. Bach? Mozart? Beethoven? Vivaldi? Erase their names from your mind."
And everyone out in the REAL world and the REAL workforce is constantly stunned by the completely useless young employees they hire! This is why! College is no longer a place to learn your craft and become an expert in your particular field. It is simply a training ground for communism. And no, I'm not joking. I am a professor myself and I am miserable, because I believe in the power of good education. I KNOW what it can do for people and society. But, it is been replaced by a new machine. I openly encourage friends, family, etc to homeschool their children and then send them to a tech/vocational program. That is where the steady, good paying jobs are anyways. Unemployed wokies with social science degrees are a dime a dozen. But, people with REAL skills are far more rare and valuable. Only go to college if you are doing something in the medical field or law.

The thing that constantly surprises me these days is the way that so many who claim to have been victims of racism throughout their lives, now go forth and promote racism aimed at others. I thought racial issues were gone I thought that was what I had to go through all of the Martin Luther King and rosa parks stuff in high school history in the 90's. We are not different race's we can interbreed, we are different colors. Yeah, so you are very right! We did deal with our racial issues in America already. We went through decades of protest and education and healing to bring people together! And in my opinion, while racism was not ENTIRELY gone (because it will never be entirely gone. There will always be a small amount of people that can't be changed) we reached a pretty great place around the mid 90s early 2000s. People really adopted the color blind idea, where we just treat each other as people and we base things on character, NOT skin color. Well, all of that changed starting slowly around 2009, 2013 it grew a lot, and then really exploded and went entirely out of control starting in 2018 with Covid shutdown being the absolute worst of it all. Now, according to the woke liberal media and mob, Race is the ONLY thing that matters. And sadly thus has torn open the wounds of the past that we worked SO hard to heal. It destroyed the bridge between races that took so much work to build. So, now here we are again, trying to make sense of it all and to find a way forward in unity.
the quickest way to sort these institutions out is whenever they pull this crap the students pull out and demand a full refund of tuition and be prepared to sue
The company I work for had a class called "The Mainstream Male". I found quickly the definition of "Mainstream Male" was white, middle-aged, American men. The content went into depth about how that demographic needed t I change as it was detrimental to the company advancing. How sick is that?

I have to go on a Cultural Awareness course at work soon. People who have been on it already have said ‘prepare to feel uncomfortable’. I am in no doubt that this ‘course’ will focus on our awareness of other cultures with zero expectation of other cultures being aware of my British culture. There might be talk of ‘slavery’ and ‘oppression’ and ‘reparations’. We do Eid and Ramadan and Diwali unfiltered at work. We do Black History Month and Pride. But we have been encouraged (even as a retailer) not to do ‘too much Christmas’ as it’s ‘not inclusive’. Well Eid isn’t inclusive to me! Christmas is a major festival for Christians and culturally Christian Brits. It makes me so angry I’m not sure how I’m going to handle this course. I’ll be expected to toe the line and pretend to think it’s all fantastic but inside I’ll be seething. If I didn’t need the money I’d say to hell with it. But that’s what they count on. Fear and compliance.
A lot of people in Britain are getting this now, particularly in the public services. So if you ever wonder why the public service can't do what you want them to do, one of the reasons is because they spend immense amount of time and effort spreading Marxist theory (even though the women of a certain age who tend to push this stuff, are clueless about the intent) and anti white anti male sentiment. Even though they admit often that they are totally reliant on old white men to keep the service running, they will still disparage their efforts and push minority wants rather than just concentrate on the service they are supposed to be supplying.

I was in my second year of college in 2002, and took a "Women's Studies" class as an elective. Had NO clue what it was, all I thought was hey I love "studying" women, count me in! Wound up being only one of 3 guys in the class, and we were instantly hated by the girls in the class without ever even needing to speak. We were automatically "the enemy", "invading their space". It was my first encounter with "feminism" or rather, just hatred of males.

There's a couple of us non-traditional students around somewhere. It's good they're open about it though. There's been some weird things happen to me at Colleges over the years. It's best to call it out if ya can that way it gets dealt with.
They're trying to make it a field of study a permanent field of study like history, math or science. Then make it a requirement to take and secure their positions at the institutions as experts in it.
So the people must ask themselves. . . . should this become a field of study as such ?

I'm a 90s baby and race was not a big problem growing up. In pre k was when I some of my friends in the class was mixed. Im white and when I went to Martin Luther king elementary school in Alabama, I was the minority. And still race has never mattered to me. It really should not matter in this day in age. I have never judge anyone by the color of their skin and never will. To be honest I believe Martin Luther king would be very disappointed with today's america.

The basics of that topic you don’t want to get into and online we can’t really get into is simply as simple as it can be. How the v works, if it works, you have no greater risk from those who didn’t have the v. So simple even College administrators should be able to understand this. Not the first time I have heard this here in the UK, and we are not nearly as bad as you have it in America. Why are the teaching establishment in the US allowed to get away with this time and time again.
