Doro, our German Metal treasure and one of the earliest pioneers being a female Metal front woman
I listened to my old Doro records again I haven't listened to for I think more than 10 or even 15 years now. And found my love for her music again. She's a shouter with lots of soul. One of our German treasures.
Two amazing Metal Queens!!! Both has an amazing career and both still going stronger as ever.

Doro is amazing. She had her career started with her band Warlock and their biggest hit is the metal anthem "All We Are" and that is a great way to get started with Doro journey. The Warlock album "Triumph and Agony" is a classic (contains the hit songs "All We Are", "East Meets West", "I Rule The Ruins" and "Fur Immer"). Then other Doro songs to react to should be "Unholy Love", "Bad Blood", "Love Me In Black", "All For Metal" and the new song "Time For Justice" from the upcoming album Doro : Conqueress - Forever Strong and Proud out on October 27th 2023. And of course there are many many more great songs to choose from when it comes to Doro.

Actually Tarja ALONE, innovated and started was THE FIRST FEMALE SYMPHONIC METAL SINGER. After her, everyone started to follow her lead.
Doro is older. She was one of the first female metal pioneers (for women) Doro started in the 80s
Symphonic Metal…yes. Tarja is the Godmother of Symphonic Metal. 🤘🏻 Doro starts in 1983 with Warlock already. Doro is something like a role model for Tarja.
Lita Ford and and Doro are probably the earliest metal front women. Tarja's voice created the Symphonic Metal subgenre for sure.

My pleasure.. Doro is called ‚German Queen Of Metal‘ but maybe it’s more Rock she does. I like her husky voice, and follow her since mid 80s. She starts with the Band ‚Warlock‘ 1982/83.. She is a pioneer among female metal voices. And she is 1,60 m tall.. 😅
It was amazing when Tarja comes to the stage.. I couldn’t believe it. 🤩 It was the second time I saw her live after Wacken 2005. The first time so close.
Hopefully Tarja will perform at Doro‘s 40th anniversary in October again…🤘🏻

Tarja and Doro have another very beautiful duet together - The Seer , it's Tarja's song and I very much prefer it from their mutual songs
At 59, Doro aka Dorothea Pesch is more Queen Mum than Metal Queen. She knows metal festivals where she was the only woman in front of, on and behind the stages. The Female Fronted category was added because of women like her, because they were so rare.
Doro is the daughter of a haulage contractor and grew up around trucks. Accordingly, she can drive a truck and her taste in music is also shaped by it. She mainly sings traditional heavy metal.
After brief engagements with Snakebite and Attack, she co-founded Warlock in 1981. Their first album was released in 1984. In 1988, their success and the demands of the record label shattered them. Doro loses the naming rights to Warlock and appears as Doro thereafter. She only got the rights back in 2011 and toured under this name in 2021.
Doro likes to talk a lot, but not about her private life. No lovers or children are known. She says: "I'm married to heavy metal".
After his death, Lemmy Kilmister left parts of his ashes in pistol bullets and sent them to his closest friends. Doro received one. He sent other parts to his favorite venues, including Wacken Open Air. Here is a Motörhead cover by Doro, with Lemmy on bass:

But I get what you're saying, this song is not a fair representation of Doro. I would check out Night of the Warlock, Celebrate or Earthshaker Rock.
I agree and disagree. I think it definitively doesn’t show what all she does, but you can definitely hear the character in her voice. Her voice immediately stands out. I don’t know if I’m explaining it well.

I don´t do this often but I will leave a link here for you guys. I really hope you will react to this one. It´s the live version of Udo (former Accept) and Doro performing DANCING WITH AN ANGEL. Now this is a real contrast between two special voices. And it works. And the quality of the video is perfect. Not a phone version. love this song. So pretty pretty please react to this one.
