Thank you, Gareth! This video was really easy to follow along.
I had just got off a call with a client who needed the CMYK values converted to Pantone. And this tutorial helped me provide a quick solution. Many thanks, again!
As always whenever I reach out to you TastyTuts I get a very clear answer. Besides clarity you don't waste my time. Thank you very much. You are my go to source for all things Adobe.
I may be almost 5 years too late, but I could hug you! Been trying to find an easy way to convert RGB to TCX and this technique did the trick perfectly. Thank you!
Gareth you have been very helpful to so many of us in the graphics design world. Your step-by-step explanation videos are very well presented and make design fun to learn. That you have made it available for free shows how kind and generous you are. Someday soon when I become a millionaire, I will make a handsome donation. Keep doing what you're doing, God bless you!
you dont know how much this vid help me through my college final assignment, thanks a lot!! :')
if you are in a hurry, just skip to 1:58 for the actual answer
Thank you, kazo and you, TastyTuts!
Thanks Kazo, I wanted to stab myself in the eye waiting for the 5 second answer that I needed.
you're the best. It's the little things.
Fuck. You are awesome. Many blessings and fortunes be upon you.
You da man
Great timing on this video/ I have almost completed my first profoessional pieces of art which are going to be printed on T-shirts. Up to now I have been copying and pasting and trying to manually guess the colours. This technique will be so much more accurate as well as quicker
Great job, thank you soo much for this video. I'm just trying to self-teach Adobe Illustrator and this is exactly what I needed.
Thank you so much! Also for the file, it always helps to remember these things so much easier when you actually do the same stuff along ^^
Thank you for this video. I'm in a college Ai course that requires me to work in CMYK, then upload my artwork to a discussion board in RGB. I was shocked by the shift in colors between the 2 versions, so I asked my instructor how to get consistent colors between Ai and .jpg files. Her answer "you just have to live with it". I've had lots of other questions for my instructor that got similar responses. I'm so thankful for your channel with its easy to understand tutorials. It's really sad when I can learn more from your YT videos than I can in a college level course I paid lots of money for. Again, sincere thanks for what you do. Because of your channel, I am able to use Ai much more efficiently than if I had relied only on the instruction in my college class. Now if I could only get my instructor to stop lowering my grade because I work in multiple layers...Gareth, will you come and teach at my school?
Not really sad, it's actually liberating. This is the future, my friend! I mean think about it, you have a designer here teaching you design and not syllabus!
I'm a designer first, and an educator second. If anything this will push the establishment to up their game!
No more laziness! Best of luck amigo, and stay tuned for more! 👊

thank for your tut, it's really helpful, you know, I'm processing my brand identity project, and I found your tutorial. Thanks a lot
By the way, are there any videos showing the different between those sorts of Pantone? And which Pantone should i choose for printing on paper? is that Pantone Coated?
Thank you so much
You're most welcome
Thank u!
Thanks! but one question: As some people commented before, I do not get a new Pantone swatch added on my swatch panel after following your procedure. Also, when I select a previously finished work, the normal colour swatch does not get selected on my swatched panel (even though the item does appear selected with the bounding box). Any advise on this?
Thanks bro!
