MY NEW TWIN TURBO BOSS 302 WON'T START...

- Well after owning my Twin turbo Boss 302 for 2 weeks the car has developed a starting issue where it will not crank! I have been trying to diagnose the issue but have come up empty handed thus far so today I took it over to Voodoo Autosport where we did an inspection and also attempted a bandaid fix on the car! Let me know what you think it could be down in the comments below.

My 2014 mustang GT HAD THE SAME PROBLEM JUST A COUPLE DAYS AGO .. I checked all the things you checked and couldn’t figure out the problem.. till I finally found the problem.. I would hear the same clicking sound you pointed out in your video checked the starter, checked the anti theft .. checked the relays lol checked everything you did ..finally for some reason decided to check underneath where the clutch sensor is located to see if it was doing good contact when engaging the clutch.. and there was the problem bro the clutch sensor came off by maybe me kicking it by accident.. double check your clutch sensor I bet that’s the problem bro
Yup its the sensor. Had the same situation. Since all the lights came on and starter was brand new on mine. The sensor is broken or needing replacement.

I had the same issue with my Audi
I had the same problem on my GT350. Clutch sensor came of because I might have kicked it. Put it back in place, its all good.
have you tried changing the blinker fluid?
Need elbow grease?
Super impressed with the tech from VooDoo. Seems like a super down to earth guy and had a ton of positive to say about the car. Generally speaking techs at shops seem to be somewhat douchy and always have a "well I would have done it this way" or "this thing is built all wrong" type of put down attitude.

Mine was like that and it turns out that it was the clutch switch replaced it and it worked. Easy fix

You got a great deal on this car! There’s a lot of parts under the car that don’t get seen. I would buy it in a minute. Don’t know what you paid but he probably had 80 grand total car and parts. Great buy, especially with turbos. Boost is in your control. Ready for the videos, and turn it up to at least 10 pounds. Have Fun brother!

I was having a similar problem with my 2013 GT, and it turned out to be a relay that needed to be replaced. After that my Mustang was fine. Just a thought to be checked. Good luck buddy at the race track. 😎👍

Check starting switch and transceiver ring. Is your security light flashing when it won’t start?

The clutch neutral safety switch is the culprit. Having the same issue with mine.
if you rolled it off in first do you think it would spin once it crunk or would it just catch and roll ? wasnt sure if it was any difference in a high horsepower car
Muffler bearings are definitely causing the solenoid malfunction, it's external on this starter ?
That car is Freekn awesome!!! I bought my GT500 with a ton of mods too, but damn I like yours even better! And I believe Ford Forged the bottom end on the Boss 302s// I bet your clutch sensor is bad!? But wow that thing has a Freekn Ton of goodies!!

Today I saw a GT500 in my town but the growl sheesh !!!!
I have 3 hemis jeepsrt8 dodge deamon and ford musteng gt500 and all three had the problem but i fix it with unplunging the battery and checking the little fuse plugs
First and only mistake I saw when you got the car was you didn’t show yourself going to an inspection shop to have the car looked at. I know it’s “wasted money” but it’s well worth it and not having to go through this situation in a shop period of time of having the car.
My 88 camaro had the same problem and the shop said it was the ignition switch
Same thing happened to me and come to find out it was the anti-theft When your key gets old the chip in the key doesn’t work so that’s why sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn’t so you Might just need to get a new key
Does the starter have a relay? Maybe that could be it

I had same problem but I got a friend with Ford computer to update it. And hasn’t did it since then
My mustang had the same issue. All it was, was the negative terminal needed to be replaced

Instead of removing the side pipes, I recommend you put baffles on
Neutral or clutch safety switch. Probably from the transmission install... would have that push button fuzed or it will melt and engage the starter until disconnected. I know from personnel experience.
Check under the front driver side fender in the wheel well the harness goes through there it a wire might be smashed in there check, it happened to me because my car is lowered and over time it might scrape through!!!

I had a 14 5.0 that did the same thing turned out that the ground wire to the fuse box was shorting out and had created some slag on the terminal it was connected to in the fuse box i cleaned it and never had the problem again.

I would highly recommend getting a ELM327 scanner with a MS/HS switch and download ForScan on a laptop of yours so you can check all the hidden codes a normal scanner wont pickup. You can also program modules to do certain things or perform resets
It's meant for Ford vehicles and helps a shit ton when diagnosing module errors. Especially shorts to sensors etc. I have a 13 GT and its great

I suggest you join boosted 302 / 350 s on FB .... great info and allows all of us to network
My fathers 5.0 does the same so for now he did the same 2 wires and got a switch to start the car at autozone works for now they also can’t figure it out but they said most likely have to change the entire ignition

Check your fuse box , try and run a fire from your power fuse to your Fuel pump . Might have a bad fuse box
Have you tried turning it on and off?
Test the Battery, Alternator & Starter
Check for ground bro on the fuse box or battery getting ground sounds like a ground problem to me
Did you set it to Wumbo?
It is the starter relay in the fuse Box underneath the hood. When you hear a clicking sound in the kick panel on the passenger side..
Always keep a couple extra In your glove Box

When it doesn't start try applying inward pressure while turning. Alot of fords crack the igniton housing and will get this innermitant no start. Or just remove the ignition and inspect for damage.
Starter solenoid is what that clicking noise is. More than likely it’s the starter solenoid or ignition switch. Had issues like this on my foxbody. Cars since 90 have the starter solenoid attached to the actually starter itself.

Try to replace the ignition switch I think that's your problem
many vehicles with new or modern key fobs battery go dead and won't start the car
Ask the previous owner if it has a N2MB WOT BOX or look in the glove box or dashboard or under it if it does you might have to fix the settings or disconnect it then the car will start with no problem.
It’s a dope car but I don’t see the point in it to help you grow your channel since it’s already fully modified. We like to see the process of you building your cars like your other mustang
