hey jimmy! don't bother about UA-cam views dude!(if you are getting bothered that is). your channel is like a gold mine! even if you inspire 1 single designer, i think your job is done. Hope you fly very high. Peace bro
Hey Jimmy, i was really looking forward to seeing more from this series, are videos for the other steps in the process coming out soon? Love your channel btw!
Hi Jimmy, your videos are amazing! I am an Industrial Design (Honours) graduate! Planning to start my design business (without any work experience). I am hoping to learn as much as i can from your videos.
Hello Jimmy, I have watched your videos since last year. Good to see you keep working on your channel. I’m a Industrial Design Engineering student in Southern California. I like watching your videos, it’s really helpfull for student like me. Hope to see you outside. Have lot of question for you. :)
can you elaborate on cost aspect. what is the proportion rate to final cost of product(or any other factors, and what are those factors)? how to determine rate for research, sketching, renders, final concepts, etc
WOW! This video is made very interesting and cool...!! You just made the video very engaging and exciting with a very useful stuff... Thank you for these useful stuff...
Hey Jimmy, really liked this whole video, specially the part where the person asked you to design a fan without giving any other further details, I can relate to it! 😂 as I'm working as a digital UX designer for couple of years, also learning hardware product designing, kindly refer me few good books for industrial designing, looking forward to seeing more videos!
Exciting project Jimmy. It would be cool if you could ideate with the Dyson technology that dosen't have exposed blades (if it fits the brief of course).
Hey! So how much math, like physics, do you need to know in this career. And how much do you actually use? Because I love sketching and 3D modeling , but not much of the other stuff.
Very awesome video Jimmy! Please keep those videos coming, your channel is so well done. I am currently doing my bachelors degree in mechanical engineering here in Canada. I was wondering, if there's a way to integrate industrial design with what I'm doing now? During my degree, we did learn Solidworks & about technical drawings but the core of the program concentrates on the analytical parts of engineering. Is it still possible for a mechanical engineer to work as an industrial designer?
Heey im studying industrial design im in my 3rd year in college i just wanted to know if you had any tips for improvement given your experience, it’d be much appreciated, ps: i live in bolivia and we have limited construction machinary for our career its basically woodworking everything Edit: i am inclined more towards renderings and virtual design im not very good at sketching but i loooove to build prototypes
Gotta be honest with you guys...its not the most interesting topic, yet very critical step of ID process! Now that we know where to begin, when designing fan, its time to get sketching! Next Video!Yaya
so i should make the fan design in sketch or in CAD? I am Industrial Engineer student but I have an enthusiast of Industrial Design, so I would like to follow this. Thank you for your lesson. I'll be waiting for the next video
Hey Jimmy.. I love your videos... I got admitted in a design school.. I just want to know is there any product you done before for real issues.. like a problem driven product.. I want to know if you do such kind of project what would be your procedure.. PS real issues means within some context.. or any problem..
@@JimmyHuynhdesign i've make it and I was posted it in instagram story and i was tagging you. Maybe you can give a tutorial how to draw a confidence line
@@JimmyHuynhdesign Wow, that is a weird coincidence. I just watched your "Categories of Industrial Design" video where you explained that you primarily design consumer electronics :)
The guy in the suit is like first year assignments in industrial design LOL nothing specific. just design a fan and try to make it (only restriction would be material I guess)

Bones Interesting question, I’m interested in the answer as well
Usually you work alongside engineers who deal with such things
0...Maybe learn some geometry for modeling, dividing, adding, multiplying...That's it.
AHA your student professor skit is so good, these vids are awesome! Can't wait for the next episode ~

i am confused
i should choose a field in industrial design or it is general skills can be used it at many fields
Can i get access to thise assignments somehow for practicing
Hey,great video#curious for next video.#thank you
Mate, students don't have that amount of money to give for a fan. When I was a student, a 15 euro fan, was more than enough.
Awesome video!
Also could you make a video of how you would begin the design for a project once you’ve been briefed.
Whats with all the gaming headsets/mice haha
This video is exceptionally well made. Was really entertaining and useful to watch :)
Thats the kind products I design to make the moneyzz hehe ;)

Ah yes, the three genders: man, woman, and dog
You wast so much time in your videos just to make them long. Still good stuff tho
