Before & After Modernization: "OTISsenkrupp" Traction Elevators at 20 North Orange, Orlando, FL

Here is a Before and After Video of the VERY NICE former Otis Elevonic 401 Series 1, now Thyssenkrupp Momentum Elevators at 20 North Orange (aka Wells Fargo Center or Morgan and Morgan Tower) in Orlando, FL. This building opened in 1983 taking only 10 months to complete, but in 2016, this place underwent a massive renovation and they totally gutted out and remodeled each of the floors, and the renovation included modernizing the elevators!!!! This video is 2 videos in one, one featuring the 1983 Otis Series 1 Elevonic 401 Elevators with the Grandma voice before they were modded, and the other featuring some Brand New 2016 Thyssenkrupp Momentum Elevators with the new TK voice and MAD BS Classic fixtures with Julius brailles. At the time the before video was taken, all of the elevators were original except the service elevator, and there was lots of construction everywhere. When the after video was taken, all of the elevators were modded and the renovation were almost complete. Unfortunately, I didn't make it here in time to see the service elevator in original condition, that one had the Male voice (Similar the The Marriott Marquis Atlanta) where the passengers had the Grandma voice as you'll see in the video. I obviously prefer the original Elevonic 401s as if you know me, I like older elevators more, and Elevonic 401 was amazing technology for its time, and I loved all of the 80s character the elevators had, the chimes, COP, Wooden cab, etc. Thyssenkrupp did however do a good job with the modernization. The new cab and new light fixtures look very nice, along with the LCD Indicator on the COP, And the fixtures are cool too. All was modded and replaced (motor and controllers included) but the interlocks, outside doors, and the Series 1 lanterns. I like how they kept the Series 1 lanterns and chimes, but also put new lanterns and chimes as well, notice how the Series 1 lantern chimes first and for down if chimes 3 times, and then the TK Lantern chimes, and then both lanterns chime, INTERESTING!!!! I, of course, like the original elevators the best, but TK did a FANTASTIC JOB with this modernization, even due to the fact Florida codes forced it to happen. My Before video was taken on my old Nikon S33 Camera so I apolgize for the shakiness and quality, I was going to come back here when I got my Sony RX100 and get a retake of the original elevators before they all got modded, but sadly, that didn't happen. Anyways, without much else to say, enjoy a Before and After video of some more of my favorite elevators in Orlando!!!!
