Thyssenkrupp/Otis/KONE Elevator Tour at The Hyatt Regency Convention Center, Orlando, FL

Here is a video featuring ALL of the elevators in this HUGE Hotel!!!! Here we have 3 Brands of Elevators in One Hotel!!!!! This hotel originally opened as The Peabody with just 1 tower (The Older Tower) in 1985, and the Newer Tower, which is the second tallest building in Orlando, was built in 2010. Then in 2013, Hyatt bought this hotel and added a Parking Deck. The first elevators I Ride in this video are the Newer Tower 2010 Thyssenkrupp Momentum Traction High-Rise Elevators. They are VERY FAST, and are SO FUN TO RIDE!!!!!!! They have the Newer Traditional fixtures. They are some of the fastest in Orlando, if not the fastest.
The second set of Elevators I ride are in the original Older Tower, which has some 1985 Otis Elevonic 401 Traction Elevators, which used to have Series 1 fixtures, but in 2010, Thyssenkrupp did a slap on mod with MAD BS Moon fixtures. While they no longer have the Grandma voice or the Elevonic 401 chimes, they still are fun to ride, and still perform some awesome Old Otis feats, such as INTENSE CLASSIC LEVELING!!!! They still have their original motor and controller, and they are VERY FAST AND FUN TO RIDE!!!!! The first bank in the older tower though as you will see was very busy, and I apologize for the shakiness in that part of the video.
The last elevators I rode were the KONE Ecodisc MRL Traction Parking Elevators in the Garage. These were my least favorite and were the absolute worst on the property. The motors sounds terrible as if they are dying, the brakes are terrible and sound like GUNSHOTS, The doors were flimsy, and it slightly overleveled. While these elevators were very cheaply made and while KONE elevators are so cheap and may be the least safest, these elevators are still VERY SAFE!!! However, I think they won't last much longer. Thankfully, this hotel now has a Thyssenkrupp contract again according to the records.
At the end, I got a brief look at a 2010 Thyssenkrupp Hydraulic Freight Elevator that used to be a 1985 Otis with GAL. It now has MAD BS Classic fixtures. I didn't ride it, as I was worried about being thrown out, but I got a look inside of it. This freight elevator is located in the Older Tower.
Anyways, with that being, enjoy the tour of the elevators in this property!!!!
