Wow! That's impressive! I wanted to do similiar challenge a couple years back, but went travelling. That definitelly helped with not buying books, but I also didn't have access to my own books. I asked my mom for a list of the books that I prepared so that I could check if they're available on Storytel and Legimi, but with enormous TBR and random mood reading, I finished 6/33 + 9 from my ebook reader or one's that I've picked up while travelling (like bought and read or took from street libraries)
This is definitely a win. I’m looking at my 292 book tbr like 😬 In the past I preferred to have my tbr under 100 books but in the past two years I’ve amassed quite the collection from gifts and booksales. Seeing you tackle yours makes me what to get to mine, but I’d be really lucky if I can even get it down to 200 by next December
I consider myself a mood reader too. I start one book and keep going until it is done. Then I ask myself what type of book I want next. I just started a read-what-I-own challenge, so that means if I want to read a romance or a thriller or a classic then it has to be one on my physical shelf. Right now I have a ton of options across multiple genres so I should be able find something for a few months. But once I run out of a favorite genre, then I know that forcing myself to read something else will put me into a slump. I can always use the public library if I feel like I need to read a new release but not yet.
You made such incredible progress, well done!! I always recommend taking breaks from time to time; hobbies like reading are supposed to be fun and if they're anything but, then a breather is just what you need.
tbr down to 6 is definetly a success! i have a way longer way to get there, but my little goal is getting under 150 this year😅 and taking a break whilst in a slump is a good idea, theres no use in forcing yourself to read if you don't feel like it cuz you won't enjoy something you might have enjoyed otherwise

I need at least 4 years to finish his number but goo luck with it
I love this! I am currently working on whittling down my own tbr. I've got 38 left i think. I found your experience very inspiring!
Wonderful! I think you can do it
@@rananajjar thank you!
I consider this a success! You now have a pretty fresh start, and you got through so many! I’m impressed!!
Thank you!! I'm proud I read this much but I already bought more books 😬

Good luck with your challenge!! I know it's very hard to do this as mood readers.

Thank you!
I'm slowly getting back to reading. it definitely helped taking a break
I think you did such a great job!! I’m trying to get to a zero tbr right now and think I should implement the book buying ban as well 😅
Thank you!
I actually ruined it now by buying more books and I'm back at 43 books on my tbr 😅
@@rananajjar uh oh 🫠 time for another challenge? Haha

I would panic if I have more than 150! lol
I'm slowly getting back to reading. the break was actually helpful.
You did amazing!! 🎉 You read almost everything! 🤓
Thank you!! 😁
You did an incredible job! That's amazing progress - it's hard to be a mood reader and limit your choices haha
Congrats :)
it's such a struggle to be a mood reader!
and thank you 😊
I consider this as a WIN! Good job 👏👏
Thank you!! 😊
