Wow wow wow, what a ancient traditional martial art. The Master really well play and knowledgeable. I learnt Baji Quan, found some step look similar. Greetings from Malaysia.
It's a good way to get to know Chinese culture. The moves we see are only part of the presentation of martial arts. In fact, the basis of Chinese martial arts is to change the body structure and reaction by standing on piles, so as to transmit the natural strength of muscles and bones under the neural reflex guided by the subconscious mind. Any martial art without foundation is a move. It is not easy to practice. I experienced it once in Beijing.
@@DanteBasili ua-cam.com/video/EwNhYEAkbIw/v-deo.html This is master has total changed his bone structure of shoulder and hipbone more like a tiger,He is the onlyone I saw can make this power to human body. I thought that was fake first time I saw his video. I went back to Beijing 2018 and tried myself, I was just wow. I trained lots of combat technique, but all not works for him.
It is called Dacheng Quan or YI Quan, most of YI Quan masters do not have that power but more techniques. You will get shocked if you try yourself, trust me man
Shi-Fu's Xin-Yi is very sturdy and looked good. The Praying Mantis was decent but I will disagree a bit with it. In 7 Stars praying mantis, the steps are big in the beginning and actually lower. That is to practice the monkey steps and also develop the strength on the lower body/legs. As the practioner advances, the steps are actually smaller and shrinks and then eventually, it is invisible. I practice my mantis wide and low twice a week. Other times, it is shrunk in mid-frame range. Love some of the explanations. And Shi-Fu's Ba-Gua is very impressive when he does the steps. The spear seems a lot shorter than the ones we are used to.. thanks for the video
Grazie Carlo. At the moment a lot of educational material is on Patreon, but finally after so many years I'm starting to work on a book that summarizes my journey in martial arts. Complete lessons on PATREON www.patreon.com/dantebasili
Nice martial arts straight from battlefield, if & only General Yue living in Mongol invasian era, the outcome may not be changed but it will be a highly interesting chapter in history~ 💪
Maestro vorrei sapere come utilizzare il Dan tien per esempio il suo movimento col bastone appoggiato alla pancia è buono avrebbe altri consigli grazie 🙏
Thank you Danti. I knew Marshall Yue Fei was not playing around when he shared Hsing Yi Ch'uan with us, but that through the centuries our understanding continued to diminish. Thank you for confirming my suspicions, and our schools old and revered lore. All the best to you. Stephen Laoshr #60 Ching Yi Kung Fu Association.
Dante, mi ero sempre chiesto di questo stile e come hai sottolineato tu mira al centro proprio come il Wing Chun, in buona parte almeno, in un perenne contrattacco in cui non c'è un prima ed un dopo.. Grazie come sempre, Massimiliano
Is the combination of shield and knife of military origin or civilian? I would surmise a professional army would have at least a short sword or single edge one handed sword. This seems like something a militia or poor town levy combination of arms.
The knife was just the first item I found at hand to explain the concept. In any case, the Xing Yi seems to have a military origin, armed, and then only later a bare hand development (the legend of General Yue Fei, expert in spear)

@@davidmack5689 wow, Master Sun Lu Tang was the man. Considered Number one in his days. In some of the Karate Dojos in Japan, they have photo of him in their Dojo along with their sensei that visited Mr. Sun and was defeated. His Xin-Yi was said to be the most perfect of all. His daughter carried it on until she was in her 90s. I only had a chance to meet one of her students here in the U.S years ago and had 3 days and it felt like I benefitted tons from those three days. Mr. Sun's Tai-Chi from Wu and then he added Xin-Yi/BaGua to the Tai=Chi was ingenius... I am jealous...are you in the U.S?? Do you teach?
Exelente explicación de xin yi. Gracias Maestro. 🏅🙏
I am really glad i found you, thank you for conserving the wisdom of the old styles!
Its always a pleasure to come back to this video. It's so solid, basic, clean and strong. Very well articulated spirit.
Grazie 🙏🏽
another wonderful video! many thanks sir
È sempre un piacere seguire le sue lezioni, belle, intense, chiare. Penso che anche i non appassionati si sentirebbero coinvolti
Grazie Daniele 🙏🏽
Master Basili reminds me a lot of my teacher. He grew up studying kung fu mostly in the 70s and learned multiple styles.
I don't understand a single word, but I learnt more in this video than most Xingyi videos.
Thanks Ken, substance is more important than words 🙏🏽
Simply excellent. Thank you.
Excellent. First class. A true master at work.
Grazie Graham 🙏🏽
One of the most illuminating discussions about Xingyi that I've seen so far. Thank you ! :D
Grazie 🙏🏽
Video sempre molto interessanti complimenti.
È un piacere vedere i suoi video.
Grazie Carmine 🙂

Thanks, what you say is important, without this it is "just" movement. 🙏🏽

Eccellente! Parola di ex karateka ultra trentennale.
Ho notato spesso che chi ha buone basi di Karate apprezza lo Xing Yi ed anche lo Xinyi Liuhe. 🙏🏽

Yueh Fei has nothing to do with Xing Yi Quan it is a fable and they adopted him due to his "righteousness and loyalty".
The great General Yue Fei !

Thanks for putting this on. Is the Sifu speaking Portuguese? Whether or no, I believe Hsing I is better than BJJ.

@@DanteBasili, how did Hsing I get to Italy? This is interesting.
