  • A couple of brilliant days, blue skies warm weather. The very best scenery and roads you could wish for. The BMW R1250GS bikes are perfect for such an exploration, comfortable and ideal for the quiet B and C roads. If you are going to do the Northumberland 250 then I do advise purchasing the official paper map for your tank bag.

Lovely series of videos of a lovely part of the country. I did the part of your route from the Scottish boarder toward Hawick then onto Moffat as part of our tour of Scotland in June 2023, and have to say it is a spectacular route. This part of the country is undiscovered by many people, especially motorhomes, which does add to the enjoyment on a motorcycle. I for one, plan on going back to Northumberland in 2024 and will include the Kielder trail again.

Thank you very much for the kind compliments, the route is indeed rather superb and as yet still undiscovered; enjoy your return trip.

The A6088 and B6237 are two of the finest biking roads in the UK. I've done a few videos of these roads, having Northumberland as my home ground.. They are a favourite of many riders and still thankfully free of traffic.
But, wow, again, you cut out 90% of them and 90% of riding from them to and then along Kielder. Arguably the best part of your ride.
Editing is, of course, necessary for UA-cam videos but I suspect on reflection you were a tad off point and liberal with the scalpel 😮
