They actually put the new cavern in the theater which means we could start farming as soon as the updates drop without having to play the story
What do you mean tho? The only ones you can't farm without playing the story are weekly bosses, the rest is always farmable, or is there something else I don't know about this system?
@@fuboru_gezoI think they mean that players who are up to date are able to instantly farm right after pulling the new characters, instead of needing to do new content before reaching a new area, and then get to the cavern.

@@fuboru_gezo I think the person is referring to when they put new cavern farming stuff in new area of Penacony like when the new debuff set/watchmaker set was put in the dreamscape hotel so you have to clear the story up to that point to get it.
so not every new domain can be farmable instantly, huh... I always thought otherwise, but thanks for making it clear.

Things to do after the update drops:
1. Farm head and gloves pieces of Iron Cavalry set, and use custom resin to make Atk body and Speed boots pieces
2. Firefly can cope with Talia if you have good SPD rolls in your pieces, so you can farm the new planar set later
3. Team her up with Harmony TB, Ruan Mei and Gallagher, and Firefly is now ready to Super Break all over the place

Ive got 36 fuels to use first, ill bust out the resins after that if needed 😂
Does she really need att body tho? Wouldn't it be better if it's hp/def body instead since she just need break effect? (genuinely asking)

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills when no one mentions Kalpagni's value with 6% SPD. I would rather get ~6 extra SPD than something like giving 10% extra Crit DMG to the team and getting 10% Effect Res (since Broken Keel is considered one of the best planar sets for most supports). Unless I'm shooting for specific energy thresholds (with either Penacony or Vonwacq) Kalpagni seems incredible value for most supports, particularly if I'm going for a relatable build like 174 SPD Bronya.

Its not just 6 extra speed. Its 1.06 x whatever speed your character has (before any speed % buffs), so if Firefly has 200 speed while in Internal Combustion without that set bonus, with the set bonus active she'll have 212 speed
if you want spd that much, just use vonwacq for instant advance action
Never got around to building Himeko so it'll be nice to slap on any good relics from the new set while I'm farming for Firefly. I hear they go together well on PF as well!
The thing about Duran is 1) it has ramp-up time, and 2) it only buffs FuA damage, whereas Salsotto buffs FuA *and* Ult damage, so units that care about both those stats are missing out on the latter part. It's gonna be an upgrade for some units, but not everyone. There will still be some that prefer Salsotto.
Simple-characters that spam follow up attacks will be best with it while slower characters such as jingyuan will stick with salsatto
While it's true that Duran have a down side of a ramp-up time, at max stack it's not "only" buff FuA but also gives you 25% C.Dmg which affect your Basic Attack, Skill, FuA and Ult, so even if an unit that care about both FuA and Ult damage like you said wouldn't "missing out" on anything. Unless you use it on a team where there's no way to stack it, Duran is a straight upgrade on every current Salsotto user (a small one, but still upgrade), it's a team comp problem, not an user problem.

@@laithinh2150 I mean yes but you can say the same about Salsotto's 8% crit rate buff. It's a 9% CV difference total. As for whether that would be enough to be more significant than 15% ult damage is probably going to be situational depending on the unit, even discounting the ramp-up time.
Who would prefer salsotto? I feel like this is the exact same as the new relic set, which is completely unusable because no follow up units currently also rely on ultimate damage. Most, if not all, fua units rely on their fua for damage, which makes the 15% ult damage a bonus and not something to rely on.
for the new 4pc follow-up set, i guess we will have to wait for future units to make use of it
Thinking the wind-soaring valorous might be for Yunli, but we will have to see…

I have lots of salvage stored for relic farming and I’ll use it instantly to farm the new planar. Meanwhile, Cavalry will be for my Firefly and Xueyi since technically they are the “DPS” in break team
Question: because of SuperBreak, in a team with Firefly and HMC is the Iron Cavalry 4-piece good for Gallagher? He can do a lot of SuperBreak damage.
Im farming both of the new domains for Firefly, but hoping that maybe some of the FuA stuff can be used for my Herta and Himeko in PF
So glad I found this, was hoping you had something up regarding it. I sunk at least 500 energy into farming Iron Cavalry set and another 500 for the Forge ornaments, and I have a halfway decent set for Firefly, but my god, man... I have never gotten so many pulls for Crit Rate/Damage on relics in my LIFE. Istg, almost EVERY single piece had one of them, half of em had BOTH. But when I farm for that shit for characters who NEED it, I don't get fuck all. Shit sure as hell feels rigged...
For me that uses Boothill with SiG + E1 Ruan Mei, the new set it will be a awesome upgrade, even without HMC

I think yanqing can definitely use it, so gonna slap it on him if I get good pieces while farming for firefly.

For Durian planar, does "allies" follow up attacks include the wearer's follow up attacks?

Gonna take a while to stack on Blade vs. Ratio, not sure about the benefit of Duran vs. Salsetto for o'l Blady.
The Iron Cavalry set is such a HMC buff. Even if you don't have Firefly, you can keep a good set ready for any Break DPS to play with HMC, like Xueyi, or whatever comes in the future.
Whats the diff in Duran vs Salsoto for JY? As he is simillar to Ratio, he has dmg from skill and Ultimate.
MrPokke what about aventurine? Isnt Duran BiS for personal dmg increase? At the moment i use Salsotto on him
I don’t think so, his DMG is kinda split between ultimate and FUA, and there isn’t a buff to FUAs. Also the fact that it gives ATK, it’s similar to Blade where the 2 piece just doesn’t match since he scales off Def.

@@Murasaki223 oh sorry I thought you were talking about the new follow-up/ultimate relic set haha. Yeah the planers should be BiS for personal DMG, like I use broken keel on him but objectively Duran is better than Salsetto since it has a 10% higher DMG increase and 25% CD instead of 8% CR, which considering the fact that Aventurine already gets so much CR in his kit, it’s definitely gives more DMG. Plus it’s universal dmg, not just ultimate and FUA. Idk if this is universal but my Aventurine is on a hybrid DPS shield build and his basic ATK does a lot of DMG, which Salsetto doesn’t buff but Duran does
(Unless you aren’t in a FUA team, in which case it will take longer to stack but even then if the enemies are AOE Aventurine will do enough FUA maybe to fully stack it by the second wave, so it’s debatable whether salsetto or Duran are better)

The fact that we do not have a proper character to utilize the valorous set just means we'll be getting a character built around it very soon. Perhaps they gave it to us now so that we have the time to pre-farm it for a character coming in maybe 2.4? Something like a physical destruction character that does follow-up attacks named Yunli?

So much value for the planar. Spd and break effect boost if enemy is weak to fire is perfect for the whole ff team. You can literally build the whole ff team just by farming for ff planar.
Can't we pick the planars we want during the SU runs soon? There won't be the worry of having a weak side set anymore, unless they let you pick the usual pair instead of individually.

if i wanna use boothill with hmc and i already have a 2pc2pc set with decent substats (245%BE , 160 SPD outside of battle, no signature), is it worth farming for the new set?
I think it is. Idk if you have RM eidolons or even have her but the new relic set still give 25% def ignore if you super break so I think over all of you get just about the same stats the new relic set will be better.

Calling the new BE set niche is like calling the DOT and follow up sets niche.
i feel like the FIre weakness planar is fine having that condition, but i wish they found a different way to go about it still. like "after implanting a weakness gain 40% break effect" and then make it where when Firefly/boothill use the thing that implants weakness even if the enemy already has the weakness count towards the set. But, this would remove the abilty for Gallagher, HMC, Himeko, asta, and Guin to run this set. i assume since the 2 break characters weve gotten with the rise of the Break meta have implants that future ones will too, but at the current moment i also think theres other fire characters that could be used or built for Break using this set. though niche, possible.

Bumed out that they changed the original 4 piece bonus from Wind Soaring. it would have been so good for follow up units. I don't know if it would have fully powercrept Grand Duke but in my eyes it was gonna be new bis for most of my follow up units.

Is the Wind soaring set good for Xueyi? Because it seems like a good build for ultimate Xueyi. But it is indeed fighting against 4 pc genius

Just now I realize that the 4pc effect of Iron carvalry set which said it ignores 10% of enemie's DEF when dealing break DMG if the wearer's BE reaches 150% or more so I'm wondering if that 10% actually works on super break too :(
Yes it does, as you can see it says “additionally” ignores 15% def on super break.
Super Break DMG is a type of Break DMG, so it's 25% DEF ignore for Super Break🎉

The speed ornament is universal for all supports. Forget the 4 piece - it’s just about the speed, functions like an extra messenger.
Salsotto probably is comparable or better for units that are FUA and deal nice ammount of damage with their burst, namely, Jing Yuan and Aventurine.
Also, probably Himeko and Herta, if not paired together may benefit more from the good old Salsotto.
Even though, new set is for sure way better for RRAT team and Clara.

15:09 no??? superbreak doesn't scale on toughness bar, it scales on toughness reduction (how much ur abilities deplet toughness). normal break dmg IS the one scaling with the enemy's toughness bar. correct me if im wrong but the formula for superbreak doesnt include the enemy's toughness bar unlike normal break

To be fair giving Boothill new planar set would bring much more than just 5% damage if it allows you to have additional turn due speed bonus...
I do think that it's good to have Iron Cavalry for Boothill regardless. You can reach 100% with him without super break but that sadly requires some high investment.

Good thing I'm getting Firefly anyway... I'll give Boothill (and possibly htb? Mei's the one on watchmaker), whatever fits him better (aka crit rate/tank bodies). Also, RIP valorous, this set was so much better in beta...

Excuse me, need a bit of clarification about Super Break explanation at timestamp 15:08
It is said at that timestamp,
"The way Super Break works is, the bigger the toughness bar, the more Super Break DMG is gonna do,"
and in the next few sentences,
"But if you're going to be up against an enemy with higher toughness bar, then Super Break DMG is going to be a lot higher."
While in the official "Keeping up with Star Rail - Trailblazer (Harmony)", it is said that Special Break (Super Break) DMG is based on the attacker's Break Effect and Toughness Reduction. It is what we're already know for a while too.
So, which one is the correct one? Is there any mistranslation or is there slip up on the CN video? Thank you in advance.
Superbreak scales off of the toughness that your unit would have done. Break scales off the total toughness of the enemy.

Now all I need is reversed Firefly mod where the overworld model is SAM and the battle model is Firefly herself w/o the suit.
Or just replace SAM with Svarog with Clara as the one inside the suit for the lulz.

imagine if they release a character which will " only charge ultimate" when either ally uses follow up or the character itself - and doesnt generate energy like acheron, only then i could see 22:48 this set being useful.

As a follow up main, glad I have a good place to farm in Sim now. Well... minus the fact Dr. Numby seems complete obsolete now since Firefly HMC goes into the same element and is just far better. All my investment paid over for a single patch pog me.

I feel bad for Boothill because in beta the Iron Cavalry set give 10 more def ignore at 250be but he already went pass the point of kit balancing so they decided to completely gutted the set so he can't use the full effect without MC
not like boothill needed a dedicated set regardless, it also means people who have already farmed for a set for him have less incentive to min max
this set will still be his genera bis since its just a better quantum set for when there is no quantum weak
They wouldn't be the biggest gacha developer if they didn't know how to fomo users with powercreep. It's the fastest powercreep in history, but you got to respect the hustle

In regards to the Kalpagni set, the wording is "when the wearer attacks enemy targets with fire weakness" to me that sounds like as long as they're weak to fire this set will activate so its not just for fire units, i could be completely wrong though
It is like that, that's why it is good for your supports in your firefly team cuz it's gonna happen anyways might as well take advantage of that.

I think the same will happen with Yanqing. Aventurine and now this new set release, maybe more in the future, but the original impression will remain.

Kalpagni set is so weirdly specific. They could have said "If wearer hits an enemy weaknesss of their own type" or something and made it much much more universal :(

Yanqing can maybe use Valorous if you like to gamble. Incredible cope though; can’t believe how much they nerfed it. Releasing relics for units that don’t exist yet is bizarre.
