The thing that I like about her being a DPS is that she's a Super Break DPS. Meaning her dmg will always be absolute cuz she doesn't depend on Crit gacha. I hope we can have other BE/SB buffer for her & other characters with the same mechanic in the future

Honestly, right now with the DPS I have, Ruan Mei has been selected less and less. I think I only use her in Pure Fiction in a Himeko, Herta team. I'm doing fine without her on previous MOCs. Glad I can use her on a new team! ❤️
I kind of wish they would make it so that we could have two options for our builds. A primary set that we would assign for each character, then a team specific set which temporarily equips different light cones and relics when using a particular team, overriding the default light cones and relics, even if that equipment is being used by another character's primary set, as long as that character is not deployed, it shouldn't matter if you borrow their equipment. While they're add it, they could raise the number of teams we can make to 20, so that we don't get stuck using the same characters in every team. This way we could have a character built for a specific team, then use the same character in another team with different equipment catering to that team's needs and synergies.
Getting her E1 is more important than obtaining her light cone. You can get by very well by just using "Fall of an Aeon" from Herta's store, but the E1 gives you more defense-shred and more importantly the ability to use her enhanced skill without consuming a skill point! This is similar to Hu Tao's E1 in Genshin where her charged attacks do not consume stamina. In my opinion, having Firefly's E1 is a game-changer.
My wife pulled Firefly then did a 10 pull on Ruan Mei for the memes and got her on that pull as well… I made one of my alt accounts I’ve been saving into a Firefly hyperinvestment account (my main is an Acheron hyperinvestment account so can’t afford to be pulling for Firefly when Jiaoqiu is just around the corner). Got E1 and Ruan Mei so far, fishing all the jades I can to get that E2. Luckily haven’t done much on that account before so plenty to be found still.
Seriously it is amazing how with Firefly, Ruan Mei, Harmony Trailblazer and Gallagher, they pretty much delete everything. Unless the enemies are a trotter or shielded, I pretty much am very happy with my loooong save grind to get E1 Firefly and her LC, and Ruan Mei.
E0 Firefly with Lv.10 Ultimate trace and good relics PAIRED with E6 Harmony MC with Lv.12 Ultimate is doing 450K damage back to back to back. F2P... Still rolling for Ruan Mei. But have E6 Gallager and Xueyi sitting at base levels. Might invest in them if I don't get Mei.
Whelp time to build Gallagher as well... Also need to invest in HMC as well... N building Firefly asap... Man this patch gonna be a LOAD of work 4 me... Thankfully have Ruan Meo already
A bit sad Ruan Mei is her best support I will do every other thing for Firefly though just not a big fan of Ruan Mei as a character and that is the main reason i usually roll for a character

It's Hmc actually. Ruan Mei is second best but can be replaced although the damage drops a good amount. Without Hmc she does practically no damage. The Ship is Real
im f2p lost fireflys 50/50 ., somehow got to pity again (took me literally to 80), then i won ruan mei and firefly lc early somehow .., im praying i can either get ruan mei's lc ., or go for e1 firefly. ., but being f2p theres literally no way for me to get the jades to pull

There is no rush to clear content, in the beginning f2p took a lot longer to clear then whales but that didn't stop f2p from playing. Also there is a lot more to this game then just end game battles, there is story and exploration. If you don't care about meta and end game then pull for who you like, but as a newer player if you like meta there are lots of guides and tier lists to help you choose who to pull whether new or a rerun. Characters always come back around and new ones might catch your eye. Also, as for storyline we have had 3 planets but it is not going to take as long to catch up as you think.
Huohuo isn't a horrible choice but Gallagher is just way better for break due to his debuff he applies with his ult. (Increases break damage the enemys receive) If your pulling for firefly you have a decent chance of getting him if you don't already since he's one of the 4 stars on her banner.

they don't stack the buffs. Unless you can manage your gameplay where they ult at different times to have both use the relic's passive but either one of them can have the relic passive up most of the time. I have the 4 piece on Ruan Mei since she has always had and uses it for other teams and I only ever use HMC with her for break teams so they just use 2 piece of the break (or could use 4 piece thief)
I have a question: im f2p, im on my 50/50 (50 pity rn) i skipped all 2.2 characters to save for firefly. While I lost on ruan mei's banner to (himeko 💀) last time, now im thinking should i try to get ruan mei and firefly OR firefly and her LC?
Meta wise, Firefly and Ruan mei. Though fun wise it just goes off who you like/want more. Personally going for Firefly + LC since i like her way more than Ruan mei.

Dont stack but you can use it on both to make sure you have 100% uptime

So I managed to walk away with Firefly and her cone but I'm still working on getting Ruan Mei. Am I doomed if she doesn't come home?

im f2p, im on my 50/50 (50 pity rn) i skipped all 2.2 characters to save for firefly. While I lost on ruan mei's banner to (himeko 💀) last time, now im thinking should i try to get ruan mei and firefly OR firefly and her LC?
Meta wise, Firefly and Ruan mei.
Though fun wise it just goes off who you like/want more.
Personally going for Firefly + LC since i like her way more than Ruan mei.

in what world does firefly have 2 forms and needs to transform as fast as possible? firefly is always sam in battle and there is no transformation that has to happen as fast as possible at all.... the only time she is in human form is while walking around in the overworld.. lol dude thinks he sees firefly in combat who then transforms into sam
