    America the continent was named after an Italian. Mexico was literally named after the people of Aztec. So to call yourself a Mexican youre proudly calling yourself a Native, which to me, is something I am proud off.

      So i guess I'll never call myself a mexican if it originated from the aztecs because I'm pure Tarasco Indian(tierra de Michoacan) the aztecs worst nightmare. Silly aztecs were considered some of the mightiest but never defeated us in war and were never able to conquer the state of Michoacan.

      John Smith- Australia is a racist shithole and i will probably never go there. And Yes im talking specifically about whites but this is mostly whites in general. In the USA white people think being american is reserved solely for those who are white. Well mexicans have always been in California and the US as a whole has been always been a land of immigrants. The only continent to actually belong to whites is europe in my opinion but Muslims are destroying it

    Michael Pena, if you're reading this. We hung out back in the mid 2000's. I remember we went to a posh night club with Marty Bregman's son, Jay hernandez, and Casper. You were wearing sneakers and they didn't want to let you in. I started to go off on the bouncer about who you are and you were so humble just saying it's no big deal and we went somewhere else. You are the most humble, down to earth guy in Hollywood and I definitely had fun hanging with you Chris, Casper and Jay Hernandez. Good times!

    Órale Mario! I just recently started watching your videos, I dig the ones with you and your dad eating Mexican food, they remind me of my pops and me. FYI, While it's true what Peña said about the Mexicans ending up in Chicago because they follow the factory jobs, but the fact is, Mexicans have been in Chicago a lot longer than that, since the late 1800s! Everyone knows about the cattle drives from Texas to Kansas (The Chisholm Trail), but from there the cattle were shipped on the railroad to the Chicago stockyards where they were slaughtered and packed on ice to be sent by railroad back east where top dollar was paid for the beef. And just like Hollywood has never shined the light on the true historic role that Mexicans have played in forming everything "cowboy or rodeo", neither has written history put the spotlight on the importance of Mexican Vaqueros who played a major part of those cattle drives. Like Mexicans who work in all areas of agriculture today, they followed the work opportunities back then, wherever that work might have taken them. So many Mexicans ended up in the Chicago Stockyards, and have lived there ever since the late 1800s, where they slaughtered & packed beef on ice (and Chicago has plenty of ice) that beef was then shipped to the fine dining establishments of New York and the likes. Think about it, You're a Vaquero who has just finished driving cattle on horseback for months, through the Chihuahuan deserts of Mexico & Texas all the way to the Kansas rail yards, and you get paid. With your pockets full of money, do you want to ride your horse back through hot, dry, Indian, & outlaw, rattlesnake-bitten & cactus-infested deserts back to Tejas or old Mejico? Or do you want to ride the trains north to a land of cool weather, ice & snow? Where they'll pay you more money and you'll have all of the carne asada & that your heart desires?!!! I tripped out too when I first learned there were Raza in Chi-town. But when you research American history, beyond what they taught us in high school, you'll learn, when it comes to everything Western or SouthWestern, Mexicans have always been there, adding their distinct flavor, and influencing everything they've been part of. Seldom mentioned but many U.S. states, and even more of our cities, from Texas to Northern California have retained their names since before they were owned by the U.S. The entire Western theme, from boots to hat, from rodeo to lasso, from the broncos to corral, it all originated in Mexico & Mexicans have always been there, in the thick of it all! Maybe you can make a history-based western movie on the role of the Vaquero in America, and I'd love to be part of it. My family has roots in Texas and California, since before they were added to the United States! And I still have family who are working Vaqueros & own cattle ranches in Parral Chihuahua today, que Dios los bendiga. Keep the videos coming, and keep shining the light!

    • @joe56ramirez99
      @joe56ramirez99 3 роки тому

      @mark you're right about all the history you just gave out but the other thing that America doesn't say about us Mexican Americans, Chicanos is how many of us fought in the wars throughout history.
      I served in Vietnam 1970 1971 and there were a lot of Mexican Americans, Chicanos wesangs our Mexican songs before heading out to the jungle crossing through rice paddies being Point man, and a lot of them died you can see their names on the wall in DC Washington.
      And the reason why you don't hear about Mexican Americans or Chicanos in the wars is because we were considered White in the military and another thing that America doesn't say anything about that we won the most Medal of Honor (39). Medal of Honor Roy Benavidez is the real Rambo read his story or on UA-cam. God bless his heart and soul may He rest in peace.

It's also a well-known fact that the sheer number of Latinos and Blacks that seen combat in WWII, KOREA, & VIETNAM far outweighed the number of whites who did (per capita). I have three uncles that served in WWII & KOREA. But about Benavidez, you are right, I'd like to see that movie. " ¡Viva Roy Benavidez!"

I love how I also learned about Roy P. Benavidez by the other poster in the comments @Joe56 Ramirez , wow this man’s story is definitely worthy of a movie and a great move that would be. Thanks guys for al the wonderful info.

    • @loncho5079
      @loncho5079 3 роки тому

      @@guillermoochoa7345 Thanks. Yeah, they don't like to admit it, but white folks of European descent copied the Mexican Vaquero/Cowboy style, not the other way around. All they have to do is look at old photos of their grand and great-grandparents they came from Europe wearing Top-hats or those little round Derby hats and they wore boots with buckles on them, not cowboy hats & cowboy boots. They had farms and they were "plow boys", not cowboys. The word "Ranch" comes from Ranchero, and Vaquero "one who works with cows" is where the word Cowboy comes from. BTW I agree, can't wait to see that movie, "Viva Roy Benavidez"/"Long Live Roy Benavidez" Perfect movie title for him! R.I.P. Master Sargent!

      Oh if only you knew! Mexico is not merely Native blood or Spaniard blood it's also African blood there are Afro mestizos more precisely in (Veracruz), there is French blood, Arabic blood (as Spanish people brought their arabic prisoners), Lebanese blood (they came later in the 19th century). I think we should be proud of all the multiculturalism and blood heritage in our country. Yet believe it or not there is much racism and that's such a shame
