A good idea, but I would be concerned that those thin Stihl sheaths would tear where the bolt runs through it with the back and forth jostling of the tractor. If that happens, and you like the placement, I would recommend Mac's Chainsaw Scabbard. Cheers!
I've done the same, but used a piece of 3" ABS pipe. Simply heat the pipe in a 350° oven until it's soft enough to flatten with the opening being slightly bigger than the thickness of the chain/bar. A piece of plywood cut to size is a good template

That's a good solution, I'll have to try it.
I'd also add a weep hole to let rainwater out, or cut the very tip off.
