Correction: with the patrol crest, you can actually get up to 150 points by beating up monsters. The first 50 monsters you beat will give you points, so if you have the crest you'll get 3 points for each, and without it, 2 points.
Counting down the delivery time and basically stalking my package delivery notifications. Watching other people's vids is definitely helping with the excitement. Thanks for sharing these tips
Fun fact: Fist weapons are your greatest friend when it comes to higher level monsters for example, wanted monsters. Just stagger them and slam them on the ground until their health is low enough to capture them. That's how I became a Perfect ranger in the first spring.
I just got this game yesterday and dang. I love how they managed to reimplement the prince/princess system again. The combat and camera angles will need some getting used to though but overall, am having fun just exploring the town. Now my question here is that since the SEED system looks similar to RF4's prince/princess system, is there a new game plus order after completing certain requirements?
Nice video, Josh. I think a lot of people will have trouble getting enough SEED Points, so this is really helpful. So in the English version they changed the "Marks" to "Crests", which threw me off. (Also the Seed Circle is now just "spell seal" without caps, for some reason.) Anyway, you missed probably the best way to get SEED Points. I don't have the crest yet, but it was called the SP Mark in Japanese, and-for some reason-you can do the quest over and over again until you run out of time in the day. If it's an exploit, it's one that was never patched. Unless the English version was patched, but I doubt that since that stupid repeating audio glitch is still present and the bane of my existence. Of course, skipping days with monsters harvesting over 100,000 G of crops will probably never be overthrown as the "best" way to get points, but that's not as fun. Also, they changed "Making" to "Directives", which is way less derpy sounding.
I was expecting them to change Making, but I'm a bit disappointed by ''spell seal'', that's kind of boring. 😆 I never used the SP Mark, I did not realize you could exploit it!
@@Frostfire613 Took me a while to pin this down, since I had to figure it out myself, but if any Bachelor/ette has a random request that day, after finishing it, you can equip the SP Crest and after talking to them two more times they will have the SP request that you can repeat infinitely for up to 600 Seed Points. Just make sure they don't faint, and you have to manually remove them from your party after turning in the request and find them again to repeat it. It also breaks if you save-load for some reason. Works in English, btw-I've done it a few dozen times now.
This is so useful! I played about 40 minutes and had to go out for appointments and, then, a friend called for help and I went to help them, soo aaarh, but it's for a good motive!
I remember exploiting boss fight with Ambrosia during RF4.. i just teleported before the drops appeared and basically can farm unlimited boss drops and princess points
I just got the game today. and I can say right off the bat my main complaint is that in rf4 if you caught the shopkeeper in the store at 7:30 before they opened they would sell you seeds. in rf5 they make you fully wait until 9am even though the shopkeeper is in the store at 7am.
Yeah, that's pretty annoying. You also can't add someone to your party, take them to their shop and make them work in RF5. For some reason, though, Priscilla will work around 8:30 ish at whichever shop you choose to have her work in. I guess she's a hard-worker.
I've barely explored the first area and died several times but I've leveled up really quickly so I don't want to switch to easy mode because that'll be even cheaper than normal, though making money is more difficult than rune factory 4 I feel like the game here in Rune Factory 5 is extremely unbalanced. I don't know anything about the story but there's not a lot of life so to speak that grips me in the beginning because the way you're introduced to the character's in Rune Factory 4 makes me really interested and wants to KNOW more about Selphia and the town and these people living in it while Rigbarth if I offend anyone just seems empty and I get the transition to 3D and 2D are big differences and why it suffered But Tides of Destiny felt livelier than this and that was a Wii game. Even if it did feel empty at times, for those of you who haven't played it you can go watch videos on it even if you don't get the full experience plus you could JUMP in Tides of Destiny which I really miss because I don't know what's a fence or a hedge versus grass that I can walk through or a roadblock on the map - while in Tides of Destiny the things in the area were much clearer though if you all just want to have this game on in the background and something to relax on while on Easy mode by all means. I think I will switch to easy mode though the initial grinding for wood and materials and money is kind of a drag.
Glad I stuck around for the super informative video. At first, it seemed like you were going to only have one trick to share as the "most efficient for endgame" (I wasn't looking at the vid duration). May I suggest pointing out that this is/was a comprehensive seed point video in your intro? I can't believe I almost clicked away!
There is a crest for getting bounties from villagers is that just the little side quest they randomly give you or is there more too it, and if so does that increase seed points
Thanks Josh. I’m really enjoying the information you’ve been sharing in preparation for the game release on Friday. There seems a lot I will need to be doing, is there something in particular you think a newbie should focus on when I start the game or will I have time to do everything you’ve been sharing? 😄
Hey, Josh, I got an exploit for you.... If you run out of rune points, enter conversation with someone, and just wait... time freezes, but the game doesn't.. so you won't lose any time out of your day, and you can fully recover your rune points.
Are the points for killing monsters (I think you said max 30 a day) and the points for killing bosses different? I still get boss points even if I killed 50 monsters already?
@@JoshGamingGarden that is true, there is so much to see and I'm looking forward to it. I hope you upload more helpful videos its definitely going to make it easier when I get to play it on Friday 😊
Finally got my Earthmate Edition today and Ive been having so much fun! I'm curious though, while you played through did you find it easy to unlock every festival along the way? Or were there some you passed by on year 1? Atm on spring 9 and I find I'm just barely making the seed point requirements to unlock festivals, which leaves me with no points to do other things like buy licenses and such, despite doing all I can to earn seed points. I'm wondering if maybe I should forgo festivals I cannot win (like the cooking festival that was on day 6) or if maybe the seed point opportunities will open up more as I get further and I will be fine.
I definitely passed on some festivals during the first year! It's normal as there are so many things to buy with the SEED points at the beginning. You can still start doing them in the second year, that's perfectly fine, there's no rush 😄
I got all the licenses no problem, plus I've unlocked all the festivals so far, working on the last one for spring, and I'm only in spring 8, year one... It's not that difficult to get enough, heck, I even have a barn, and several cooking tools. You get plenty, but you probably won't win anything, but look at it this way... you won't have to unlock them later.

I only found one monster by chance and never again, I’m farther into the game but have done only 1 bounty and am starting to feel the impact! If there are any maps or videos showing me where some of the bounty monsters are PLEASE tell me this isn’t funny anymore the hints they gave me are too vague 😭
I found one of themonsters on here the slim one so I know one of them is right. I'm having trouble catching it keeps failing on me and it seems my sword has no effect on any of monsters in the area lol still figuring stuff out🤷🏾♀️
If you have the Hint crest activated, somebody may tell you where to find that specific monster! Ex. I couldn’t find the little dragon (since those 5 star monsters spawn at completely random locations hence no guide) and Heinz told me the general location! You just have to do a bit of searching but it’s so much easier than looking through the whole area!
Is there something you get for going in the opposite gender bath enough times though ? Is there something that would happen if you kept doing that alot, and if so what ?
Oh no. I didn't know going into the opposite bath lost you points. No wonder I always have so few. I wanted to see all the titles. So far I'm at "Absolute Degenerate"
