Hey Luis, I don’t know when we stopped calling him “Dack Fayden, The Greatest Thief in the Multiverse™️”, but that man didn’t do 6 months at thief college for you to not say it.
The 64-mans are the best LSV cube content. I enjoy the team drafts but I definitely notice earlier concessions and looser play in those: when there's nothing on the line besides pride, there's less reason to try as hard. It's always a good time seeing LSV try-hard.
I don't think they play those team drafts only for pride, I can't speak for every draft (and maybe this has changed over time) but I believe they wager $50 worth of tix per player on the outcome. There are some older videos where you briefly see someone send the payment upon concession once the final outcome of the team is decided, that didn't get edited out.
@@jpkday I didn't realize that. Although I would imagine this isn't every time, because there have been some games LSV has conceded that were very, very winnable and I feel like he wouldn't do that with money on the line. But perhaps the tournament structure of there being a cut to a top 8, and his instincts to make it there, is more of a draw than the actual prizes or money on the line.
Luis consistently has awesome cube drafts, but this was one of the special ones, on the edge of my seat the whole way through. Good luck in the finals!
What's better than a nut draft that goes perfectly? A scuffed draft where you pick everything right, more or less, and never find the second half of your combo pieces. Keep up the good fight!
lol how on earth did you pull this off, multiple games I didn’t think you had much of a chance at all. I gotta stop conceding so early. Sometimes you just draw exactly what you need to stay in the game.
I will say, one of my biggest winrate level ups was to just stop conceding. It's incredible how often folks will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory if you give them the chance.
@@MasterworkLeathercraft same, sometimes you even draw something you didnt realize could win you a game! thats happened more often then id like to admit
I think they're dead here at 58:12 just attack with everything, inti gives third path trample, bounce a token with spellbomb, pump raptor. No real reason to give them another draw step for fireblast as we're dead to that either way
team draft is fun because of the interpersonal shinanigans but watching mtgo cube feels so freeing. you take the card you want. i can see why a genius like lsv actually enjoys another layer of complexity on the most complex card game ever created though. hahaha. loving the draft so far - halfway through pack2
I was leaning a bit towards Elemental Eruption over Proft's Eidetic Memory in pack 3 - you've already built a storm deck and it somewhat works with the whole LED/Breach/Frantic Search/Name Sticker package. Commenting this before watching the matches with full expectation that Ballista + Eidetic Memory turns out to be the MVP 😄
Op 3rd round had to be upset. So much buster stuff but just couldn’t assemble it against what you were doing. When they casted yawg I thought 1000% your run was over and chicken tendies was about to roast ya. I was wondering why you weren’t playing with time warp with as many token and value engines you had. Nice way to get the chefs kiss at the end! I don’t think you had another turn left if you passed to them
m3g2 I wonder if the opponent had a brain fart and planned on high tide having a heartbeat effect that doubles the mana, so was trying to get double black. They did end up converting blue to black mana via the rituals but it seems they also miscounted spells. But if they had tendrils I don't know why they didn't cast it anyway to gain life and get another turn or so to find dream halls/ultimatum. Shame scoop on a scuffed combo turn.
at 53:00 why not block Broadside with Third Path and the 2 power token? So that it always dies. Ended up not mattering either way, I'm just curious about it

"This is a kill. It's a very convoluted one, but it actually works."
*Immediate flashbacks to Siege-Gang Commander storm*

playing with bad decks is when being a hall of famer makes a difference
P1P1 tinker and a video 100 minutes long. We are going on z journey
My thoughts exactly haha
At 20:30 you could've countered the sunfall by playing mystical tutor for mana leak and drawing it by sacrificing aether spell bomb
20:47 Mystical Tutor for Mana Leak/Memory Lapse, draw with Spellbomb, Counter Sunfall win the game?
Awesome plays, love seeing you coming up with plans and making the most of your situation.

One of the best drafts in a good while. The games were all interesting and suspenseful. Thank you for the exquisite content.

Gotta say beating t2 chariot on the draw is pretty sick.
For the record, in my feed this vid was right below a BK ad
wow that card quality disparity in game 3 is wild, lsv walked in with his pet deck vs full foil meta deck

That was an intese set of matches. I love these 64 player events!
LSV could win a NASCAR race with a Camry.
Damn, I wanted to see the Frantic Search Breach turn!
One of my favorite lsv draft videos!
What an awesome video, pure skill carrying this average deck.

I always expect a montage whenever Lion's eye diamond get picked. It's the eye of the lion, it's the thrill of the fight.
WOW this was awesome 😃
soo intense to watch!
WOW! That was so suspenseful!
I knew your love for Shelldock would never let you take Basalt Monolith even with the high likelihood of gadgeteer wheeling.
"That's all fine and Phantasmal Image"
He can't keep getting away with this! lol

Name-sticker, seething song, LED, breach, frantic search, shelldock isle, mystical tutor and he passes on the elemental eruption lol
"Tinker is a great card!", LSV 2024
You don't say?
On the turn in match 3 where he dazed leak, it does make some sense to daze leak and not relic because they can't cast the ring at all next turn
It turns out I should have waited before making this comment 😅
Thank you, great draft. Hope you win.
I'm about to watch M3G3. Hoping to see Thought Scour opp after they Vamp Tutor
Time to get the boys together for some high tide nonsense
what a ride!
Luck

m2G1 have you missed the Tinker LED + Currency converter interaction?
Match 2. LSV has the Brainstorm deck without Brainstorm VS the Tendrils deck with (evidently) no Tendrils😵💫
Easiest 3-0 I've ever seen in my life, normal.
🔥 🔥 🔥
damn 2 mountains vs turn 3 9 drop and it was a real game
Probably would have won M3 Game 1 if it reached a natural conclusion.
Wow. You really did all that with an academy deck that was missing the academy.
That was fun
This one was fun lol
Game 3... what?
more vids with BK?
love it
01:30 all this slowmotion for lose, what a bad opp lol
Like the video
there is a button for this. it is the thumbs up button.
Akal pakal (du du du du du)
Why is namesticker goblin in the cube? Didnt sticker cards get banned in vintage?
This was such a fraud. Unbelievable.
In before the next video is 34 minutes long.
