One thing I've seen is using Fusion Substitute over regular Polymerisation; fuses using only the field, which is fine here, then remove itself from the GY to shuffle a fusion back and draw 1.
The fusion spell can be ran as a 1 of there isn't much of a point running 2 unless you want to hard draw it, it's not bad if hard drawn but still not a point to use more than 1 imo. If you hard draw it, it can just be used to fuse, or be discarded for the link or other means of discard fodder. Later on when a fusion is sent to the grave the spell can recycle into the deck and draw 1, if you still have the level 5 pendulum it can then search it and use it
I considered this but considering the scales can come back when you summon a fusion I thought playing an extra copy would be beneficial to the grind game. But you certainly could just play the 1 copy.
Not necessarily negation, but Couplet can search out Illusion which makes a Melodious unaffected by Spell/Trap effects making Dark Ruler not as good. As for Evenly, Etoile can banish any number of Melodious to dodge it since it does not have to return any cards to the hand. So those type of Boardbreaker cards are not going to be as effective as one would think.
@@red-eyessolares1817 Illusion says “target” one of your Melodious monsters. You cannot target them if Aria is special summoned. Illusion is great until you realize it doesn’t synergies with the deck at all.
@@jr.rodriguez181Yes that's why Etoile is worded in a way so that you can simply use it's effect to get rid of her until the end phase even if your opponent doesn't have cards. Hell you can get rid of your whole board just to make Ostinato activatable again
By making Grand Choir before/on summon 5 you can banish your own board on activation of nib and it comes back in end phase leaving you with interruptions. However there is no negate as such for nibiru
Just say f it and finally give them a Link 1 that tributes itself to add a Spell/Trap and that banishes itself from the GY to special a Melodious from hand + a Spell that searches Melodious cards but is also able to search Ostinato and 1st Movement Solo, a Marincess Wave like Trap that makes all your Melodious monsters unaffected for a turn and when you are at it just give them another Fusion that can deal with backrow as a Quick effect by popping cards your opponent controls that also has an effect to fusion summon another Melodious by banishing the materials from the GY. Just make Melodious Meta like the other Yuzu counterpart decks. Make it broken!
Two, actually: One is a discard-name-to-summon, then both can mill a name to take its name. Neither are searchable, and the mill is done by Refrain now, so they're not needed.

The deck now just needs some sort of negation as a form of protection from things like evenly and dark ruler and it can be somewhat meta

Once you special summon Brilliant Rose, you can no longer activate Bloom's effect this turn. because boom has a hard look.
