Or boomers are too dumb. The science is pretty clear about the risks, and those focusing on only concussion rates compared to other sports aren't considering the damage that is done on every hit, even if it doesn't result in a concussion.

Actually looking at data of traumatic pediatric injuries the leader is actually bicycles. We should really ban bikes if we want to make a difference.
Banning tackle football for kids is a horrible idea. It’s a decision to be made by parents whether they allow their kids to play or not. Teach kids how to properly tackle and it’s fine. If they want to accept the risk that’s their decision. Just ban everything that might have any risk or throw more warning labels on everything, yeah that’ll fix it. Helicopter parenting starting becoming a thing in the 2000’s and look where that’s gotten us.
stupid. Make the parents sign something explaining the risk and be done with it.

Football is important to the youth in every stage of life. Teaches them life lessons. How to be a part of a team. These coaches become gather figures. Some kids lives depend on it.

Youth football is quite popular in America. More so than any developed nation. America also has far more violent crimes and shootings than any other developed nation. One has to wonder if brain injuries as youths have led America to become what it now is....

Wow. Everything is about race nowadays. It is a very dangerous sport to play if you don’t know how to hit/tackle properly.
Football is a violent game. It can cause serious injuries, some of which can result in serious mental illness. However, football has caused a far greater number of cases of mental illness among spectators than players.

However, that doesn't change the fact that it's still a violent game with many fans that have been mentally retarded by the promotion of the game without ever playing. utter BS. my brothers and I played youth football when we were 10 yrs old, up until about 14 yrs old. not one injury. and we had quite a collection of gouges and scratches on our helmets

We played touch football in California when we were kids...organized and not...nothing wrong with that... research shows that just the season long pounding on each other in games and practices without concussions still has a negative impact on cognitive function
Repetitive minor brain injuries are not a good thing for children or adults with potentially serious lifelong negative impact...... a little common sense and protection of young people is in order here
