.380, is the caliber too small or is the pistol too big?

BTW 380+P has the exact same muzzle energy as *most brands* of 38+P from a 2" J frame. So a LCP max loaded with +P gives you, in essence, a 13 shot 38+P J frame....with great night sights.

@@30secondtactics I definitely agree with you there.

You get a much lighter and more compact firearm with the 380. The LCP max weighs 15oz fully loaded with 13rds. No 9mm para on the market comes even remotely close.
I do agree that the big 380s dont make a whole lot of sense in a world where the Sig P365 exists.

      "Even remotely close"?
      P365, GX4, Hellcat, about 18 ozs.

@@30secondtactics Now put bullets in those 9mm guns. A P365 loaded with 11rds of ammo weighs 24 oz, over a half pound heavier than a loaded LCP max.
So no, it's not even close.
An unloaded LCP max weighs about 9.6oz without magazine.15oz fully loaded with 13rds.
Not trying to be combative, just illustrating that the LCP max is really in a different league weight wise.

@@Valorius carry guns need to be light when we carry them and heavy when we shoot them. Finding the balance between the two is up to each individual shooter.
