@jblack5323 I mean there's plenty of track slips of people with C5s running low-mid 13s... Plenty of 4cyl Hyundais doing the same thing. I had an LS1 Camaro and now a Kona N, and can attest that they perform similarly. I beat a 6spd WS6 Trans AM from a 40 roll with my Kona when it was stock by about a car. I also had a LS2 GTO, I believe that was a touch faster, especially at highway speeds.

I won't argue that if you're trying to make a fast drag car and wanna dump a ton of money into it, sure the C5 is the better platform. The Hyundai is the better overall car at this point, though. I've had 2 LS cars and now an N car... My N car with $1,500 in mods is faster overall than my LS1 car was with heads, cam, upgraded clutch, headers, intake, built trans, etc... N car also way more livable day to day, better build quality, more reliable, better MPGs, better tech, more comfortable, better handling, etc. If you want a budget track setup, C5 is a great platform... If you like fixing stuff all the time and don't mind a rattly old GM with door handles falling off, windows that don't work, etc lol
I did 13.79 at 102 in my 01 gt when I first got it on bald dryrot tires spinning through first and 2nd I raced one c5 and got him by a car on the street my 96 cobra went 12.8 at 106 spinning
Over 6 seconds to 60, and just below 14 for quarter mile, that's slower than the advertised factory times. Which would be 4.8 and 13.2. The particular car might be part of it, as it doesn't sound all that healthy, but I'd say this "performance" reflects on the driver more than the car.
Bruh I've never heard of a c5 hitting 0-60 in 6 secs..either something is wrong with the car or that stop watch is not accurate..I'm guessing the car is a auto as well

Your 01 GT if it has been modded. A stock 01 GT doesn’t come close with 240 crank hp
Should be good for a 13.6 but of course it depends on the conditions.

It’s manual and it spun a lot the tires are bald. I got it down to 5.4 with the bald tires
