Yeah magic cannons are op. When I first got the plasma cannon, I thought it was just a skin for the cannon, but then it literally started shooting purple stuff and did crazy damage
Helpful note to make is that the magic of the cannons come from the owner when building them. For instance: a warrior who builds arcanium cannons will not benefit, but if a magma user builds the cannons the gifts them to thr warrior, the warrior can use the magma cannons
Is there a way for a Magma user to get a non-magma but still magic-infused cannon, or should I just maybe get a bronze carton add or a bronze culverin, since magma cannons are some of the worst cannons in range.

To get bronze sealed chest you have to sink any ship using your cannons , so many players are trying to sink ships with their magic or just kill the entire crew 😭
You don't even need to kill the crew. Either run away with the chests or one time I took too long killing the crew and the destroyed ship despawned leaving the floating chests behind
So that's why I got those "lesser arcanium cannons/ram" and they didn't really use magic or do anything special... I had Poison Magic but chose a Berserker build because I wanted to try something new after lots of WoM playing and experimenting, and it turns out to have been a hella large mistake. If they could actually use magic, I'd be really strong in ship combat for once... I wonder if I can trade for other players arcanium ship weapons with magic types and have them work

I am 99% sure that when you get a magic canon or ram it will be what your magic is, I got multiple canon and ram blueprints and they were plasma (the magic I had for that save)
Does the drop for magic canons depend on sp in magic? Since I have done a lot of sealed chests and haven't gotten a single magic Canon only a lesser ram
On a side note while the weapons are technically rarer I find that at lvl 125 as long as you have a ram you could reallly just ram 3 ships to death open the sealed chests a and get more than a few lesser arcanium bps from my experience
OH I GOT EXPLOSION MAGIC CANNONS, the first arcanium weapons I've gotten. And even better is that I have explosion magic! I think explosion magic gives even more range too
heads up for that, you can only get magic cannons and rams of the element you have. this also works for awakening elements. for example i have explosion and ash, and ive gotten like 6 explosion cannons and 3 ash rams. you can use magic cannons of elements you dont have, but you will need to trade with someone who has the element to get them. from what ive seen people seem to want to trade for explosion magic cannons a lot
Some of you might not know this detail but arcanium cannon/ram blueprints can turn into the magic you have on a separate slot. So for example you have a light magic slot and still retain that magic on the said slot, you can build the arcanium ram/cannon and it will turn into a light ram/cannon.
BTW!! you can expand how much magic storage you have, and you can enchant the cannons to have more range (pretty sure its amplified or bursting not sure)

what does amplified enchant do? does it give it extra range because I would prefer the culverin cannons due to their longer range over the magic ones ngl

Magic ones are typically stronger but it depends on the magic like light doesn’t deal as much damage but has really good range in enchanted so I used a strong enchant. You need to check the stats of the cannons and decide based on those. I wouldn’t recommend culverins though since although they have range they don’t deal as much damage. I would recommend getting a high damage cannon and just using an amplified enchant on it.

The tactic I use to fight those annoying level 200 navy captains is to hide under their boat spam aoe and if they still aren't dead climb up and kill them

i made my ship fully battle ready and got into my first fight with a reinforced pirate ship, i had a ram and everything, and then a marine ship sailed its happy [rude word for donkey] to my ship and right infront of my ram my ship sunk

i have lightning magic, i still didnt get arcanium cannons, but one day i shot one of my cannons with a lightning blast and it turned yellow and started making lightning effects, did i like charge it or smth?
cannons and rams (i think) are depending on what magic you wield, i had 2 magic (explosive and lightning) and all i got were infused cannons with those 2
If you have 2 magics, you can get both variants of Arcanium ship parts, and the ones infused with your second magic are usually better than the ones with your 1st magic
i should mention you can only get arcanium equipment thats the same type as the magic you chose when starting off (i.e if you chose plasma its only possible for you to get plasma rams or cannons)
I wonder if the type of magic blueprints you can get depends on the player’s magic. Because so far I have been getting explosive blueprints this whole time.

Everytime U switch ships all the stuff you had on it unequips. In terms of ketch vs ram caraval, they’re both viable but personally I do ram caraval because it’s funner and more manuverable. Also good rams do stupid amounts of damage (sometimes 1000+ in one hit).

i have them, the damage multiplier is not 3x, and a reg cannon ball does around 300-400 damage but has less range than a dense

I thought all rams had magic infusion because i didn't notice that mine had arcanium because i got wood magic and it showed as a wood ram

You also only find arcanium enchanted things that are of your magic (or 2nd magic if you have one) the only way to get other magics is through trading

Heavy bronze carronades outdo lesser magic cannons in terms of damage.
So if you’re looking for raw unstopping power, you could go for that.
Issue is they heavy. Too much speed loss for the dmg diff between the two

culverins have some cracked range and dont reduce your speed as much, even with bronze. you can snipe ships with a ketch and then be able to run away

My first ram was a lightning ram, and i got lightning cannons 3 chests later
I also got like 2 more lightning rams, and lightning cannons in 30 minutes

they get put in purgatory until you fire some others. I'm pretty sure they don't get to contribute to stats either.
the magic type actually varies on your magic im pretty sure as I got lightning cannons and I've never seen someone without matching arcanium

I have two magic rams however I don't have a single magic cannon.
I have a light ram and it gloes blue and its very fast and does an insane amount of damage especially sinc ei enchanted it aswell.
