I love how unique every player will be. Having incredibly rare ancient magics and customization is so cool. I love thinking into the lore of this game and I want to find and try every magic. I am obsessed with the ideas of this game! exited for it to come out soon
phoenix magic was used by theos the war phoenix in AA. really excited for it to be in the game. also, promethean magic is probably going to be one of the most powerful magics in the game because it was used by a GOD aka prometheus, who gave humanity the gift of magic.
Prometheus made the promethean grand fire curses which are the strongest curses in the arcane universe so anything that comes from him will be up there
several fire curses/magics were sent into space, so getting one of those would have to drop from a meteorite, which is gonna be rare to spawn and the rarity of the scroll will probably be like 1/6000 or something
Poison lightning magic is kinda like this one Pokémon which is a poison and lightning type, whose special move is a smite and simultaneously procs poison, while slash magic is probably inspired by a character from Black Clover whose magic type is to slice things with arm scythes
Cursebeard's WAS considered the strongest and the richest man alive, part of the vastus race, he had 4 Sea curses, these being: Ice curse, energy curse, tides curse and the blaze curse. He was also the captain of the one shot pirates, the strongest, and richest pirates crew of the seven seas( he wasn't a boss in AA, and we don't even get to see him) hope this answered your question. I really find it cool since most of these lost and ancient magic we've heard of before in either WoM (World of Magic) or AA (Aracne Adventures) so Vetex alreaedy has the foundation for some of those magics which I find insanely cool. Also aether magic was actually Vetex custom magic back in the day if I remember correctly
Hey, Your thing about aether magic and aether lightning is correct! Basically the lore behind it is Vetex fused aether magic with regular lightning magic to create aether lightning back in Arcane adventures!
according to arcane odyssey lore, arcane odyssey takes place in the far, far future of arcane adventures. so, it's safe to say that arcane adventures lore applies to arcane odyssey, and can explain some of the lost/ancient magics lost magic such as sun, flare and pheonix are mutated magic in arcane adventures. when a mage reaches the third awakening, they can mutate their first magic into a high mutation, then on the fourth awakening they can awaken the second magic into a low mutation. sun magic is an example of high mutation, being more powerful. every mage can only have at most 1 high mutation, while they can have as many low mutation as their magic count. it might be possible that sun, flare and phoenix magic are going to be a quest to trigger a magic mutation in order to obtain them for ancient magic, prometheus flame is actually a curse. in arcane adventures lore, there is only 1 known prometheus fire user and the power comes from a curse. if you don't know what curses are, curses are power of god, and only one of each curse can exist at a time. normally, each mage can only have up to 1 curse but cursebeard is an exception. curses are basically the primordial form of magic, being much closer to the power of gods than magic. but in exchange, the user will spontaneously combust when they touch water (basically devil fruits but on crack). prometheus flame is the strongest curse of all time, the power came directly from the dead god prometheus. after his death, his power passed on in the form of this curse, which ended up in the hands of morock. morock died in a battle against the holder of the magma curse in the third sea, so the curse is lost. a small residue of the power of the curse still remained in his skeletons at the bottom of the sea, as well as the weapons he imbued using the curse. from this, we can deduce that prometheus flame can take 2 forms: either it's the full curse that only 1 player can have (might be the case because the trello said it's the rarest ancient magic), or it's a fragment of the curse like the small residue of the curse in morock's corpse but it's not number capped. (probably the second option because lore wise, each curse user has enough power to wipe an entire sea out of existence)
If only you shown some footage of some of these from Arcane Adventures that would be perfect! I don’t think you knew those were there though so that’s okay. Vetex personally reserved Aether Lightning for himself in AA and Inferno was used by Techlevel80. Theos used Phoenix and sun magic.
Sadly I didn't start following vetex and his games until after Arcane Adventures, but it seems there's plenty of involvement of even AA inside of AO and i'm def gonna look more into it. (but yeah if i knew there was footage of some of these magics in AA i 100% would've put them in the vid)

About Darkness Magic, IIRC Vetex made a tweet replying to somebody that Darkness Magic will have wither effect (AA’s Shadow effect), so maybe Darkness Magic is actually Arcane Adventure Shadow Magic that was lost over time , and that AO Shadow Magic is a more “modern” variant.
Vetex had used aether lightning and tech used inferno. One of my favorite memories of AA was when tech joined the server I was in and he started ruthlessly slaughtering everybody. It was very fun to try and team up on him even if we got nowhere close to beating him.
To clear everything up for everyone NONE of these are confirmed except for Flare, new magics could be added or removed at anytime in vetex's private Trello, so don't expect all of these to be added, for example Promethean Fire and Mud are confirmed to not be added.

As a lightning enjoyer, storm and poison lightning sounds very rad. Imagine earning such a rare technique lost to time, that's incredibly powerful, and ite called mud magic 💀
Vetex actually used aether lighting in Arcane Adventures. I remember fighting aha odd who somehow got it. The whole server fought him. It’s crazy strong
promethean flame is just morock's sword of fire from AA (look it up) though losts and ancients has been hidden since people kept making metas and assuming things about the magic when they're going to be added within 2 years.
So Cursebeard (Arthur I think was his name) is an old King from Arcane Adventures. He ruled over one of the most powerful and rich kingdom's at the time and was one of the strongest wizards at the time. If I remember correctly, Cursebeard was the only person Theos, the war phoenix, thought had a chance at killing Durza (the evil wizard in Arcane Adventures. Sometime early into the arcane storyline, Cursebeard sets off with his army to find Durza himself. I believe they don't actually find him right away and instead he joins the hero later in the written lore or dies somewhere along the way. Cursebeard's magic was a curse, making him invincible and meaning if he ever died the curse would leave until found my another person. The fact that the curse is now an "Ancient magic" and not a curse, tells me Durza killed Cursebeard, absorbed his curse and then when durza was killed it released it with much less potent energy. However it's probably still very strong. You don't become the strongest man in the 7 seas with regular magic.
Actually Arcane Oddessy seems to be a prequel not a Sequel so it might just be that . . . Well honestly Im not sure when Cursebeard gets his curse but it might be something like that

If you ever get your hands on the written lore that we never played, it tells you exactly what happened to theos, Arthur, your player, etc. Then it goes on to talk about the WoM lore a little and how that plays into AO

also, curses are different than regular magic, curses are not an "Ancient magic" Ancient magics CAN be curses examples such as the inferno curse, promethean fire curse, and darkflame curse all exist, and those are all powerful curses but they are different from their magic counterparts. see, during the era of the gods, prometheus killed zeus and became the king of the gods, eventually the humans burned all the aureum which was the source of prometheus and the humans' magic powers, so then cursebeard, who burned so much aureum to the point he was stronger than prometheus (which is a bit wacky), anyway, cursebeard and his armies invade olympus, he threatens prometheus to make a stronger form of magic, prometheus does so and gives 4 extremely powerful curses to arthur, the blaze curse, the tide curse, the energy curse, and the ice curse. Prometheus also creates many other curses like the base magic curses which are pretty obvious, fire, earth, water, wind, etc. There are also some external curses he creates which have special properties, like the lazarus curse which makes the user partially immortal (there's a certain chance the user will revive when they die) and the absorbtion curse, which was used by durza, the final boss of AA but prometheus hid a special set of curses which were called the grand fire curses, these were based off of some ancient magics inferno curse promethean fire curse scorch curse darkflame curse and ethereal fire curse, this is different from aether magic and the aether curse, im not sure whether this one is even canon
Magic ideas I can personally think of off the top of my head 1. Igneous cinder: a volcanic type of magic that erupt into both a puddle of lava and a cloud of ash on impact, 2. R-alpha(name required) is a radioactive magic that inflicts decay-low damage over an extended period of time 3. R-beta (name required) a radioactive magic that deals inflicts fracture status high damage over a short period of time 4. Caustic flame: a chemical based magic that inflict the status of melting and burn. 5. Nova metal: a heavy magic mix that launches scorching. Metal a mix of plasma and metal chance to burst into a explosion 6. Gunpowder torrent: a magic that inflict coated making you highly combustible well slowing you just slightly 7. Alternative: a high gambit magic that launches your other 2 magic types randomly. Grant a random minimal buff per shot. 8. Ice IIV: an ancient ice magic’s that applied bleed and freezing well also being extremely durable 9. Eldritch gate: consist primarily of placed attacks that summon other dimensional entities with varying abilities for a single attack that can do high or low damage That all I can think of off the top of my head.

11:30 Long ago, playing Arcane Adventures, I saw somebody killing people with an odd white magic that I was un aware of at the time. I saw the screen of somebody fighting them, and it proc'd all the status effects on the victim. Specifically what I saw was the user using the explosion attack, and I theorize that what I saw was Promethean magic. This was years ago, and Arcane Adventure is now a long dead game, I still think back to what I saw.
@@avndd_s No, rather it looks like a white orb. He did have weapons equipped, though I do not think it was his sword. This is why I take great interest into what I saw. Though what ever it was, it was surely from his magic, every magic had the same move set, if you pressed e, all magics had an explosion attack, some were pillars, shockwaves, and spheres, similar to AO. Light for an example, had a sphere, and always had a sphere explosion. As for the supposed Promethean magic I saw, it had an indefinite sphere explosion. Also, the Morrocks cursed sword gave a unique white flame debuff, the one I saw procc'd multiple debuffs, such as plasma, fire, lighting, and various other ones. It also sufficiently one shot the dude who got hit by it.
@@MarisoStyle sword of morocks fire did all flame debuffs and promethean flame, and had a massive explosion move that was a massive white orb that lit the surrounding area on fire. It was most likely the sword, most of the dev curses and magics have been documented, and the closest to what you're describing is inferno, which was a deep blue.
@@MarisoStyle It's possible they were doing a test run, but I grinded that game like crazy, I've seen every dev magic there is to see and never come across something like that unless it was from Sword of Morrock's fire.

Artur the Cursebeard: Was born during the time where the land was still a continent, before Theos and Durza fought and broke the land and seas. During this "Continental" Era, Prometheus was the first god that gifted humanity something beyond just prayers : Magic. With this new creation, he took over Olympus and dethroned all other gods, declaring himself as the only true god. At first, magic was only usable with Aurem, hence its higher value even today, and charging did not exist yet. Artur became a magic user and wanted to become stronger in magic, but soon came to see that all training, combat and anything that would make a use of his magic felt like a crutch to a higher power than just magic. He began thinking that if Prometheus created magic and Aurem alike, he also created something stronger he kept to himself in a godly greed, something used in his overthrowing of Olympus. Artur journeyed up the highest mountain of all time, unnoticed by Prometheus. In his keep, he found the first Blessing. Artur took the Blessing and used it to surprise Prometheus in his sleep, with a heavy injure to start the fight. As brutally wounded as both ended up, Artur won and the last god was killed, all magic was changed and all remaining blessings were scattered across the land. In his final breath though, Prometheus whispered a final line that only Artur heard. He put a malignant spell on the blessings he created, he Cursed them, giving them the incompatibility with the sea and weather as well as a toll of the user's mind. Artur, the first man to hold a curse, naturally looked for more in his almost-everlasting life. Now, he grasps 4 different ones, and is believed to be the most powerful man alive, the General of the One Shot Pirates, richest crew at sea. Last heard of sailing away with most of Admirals to fight Durza, deemed a threat for the use of one of the few Curses known to be capable of standing up to Cursebeard: Absorption, along with Dead Revival Magic.
Curse beard is an npc from the prequel game arcane adventures but you never actually saw him in game it is said that he has 4 sea curses and he died fighting Durza who is supposed to be the final boss of the first game sadly it only covered 3 out of 7 seas lets just hope we can see the ending of arcane odyssey
Promethean Flame seems more like it will possibly be reserved for the very last boss you would fight in the story, given it's emphasis on being rarer than every other magic out there
Forbidden (Has a lot of different types: gives a lot of one stat, but also always gives Insanity 1) Cursed (Has a lot of different types: gives a lot of one stat, but also always gives 10% Drawback) I hope someone sees this
Forbidden and Cursed skill types are actually meant to be skills that directly send you into negative rep just for knowing them on top of the whole drawback stuff, so basically if you get death magic, embrace the darkness.

Interestingly enough poison lighting magic is a valid possibility if the lightning flickers out so quickly it doesn’t have the time to ignite the poison Since lightning is just super heat and Ions it will bond with any element as for if it doesn’t flicker out the poison become a blaze that engulfs 2:55
Kinda excited for this since deepwoken does not get much content because arch and rag's are perfectionist's + they dont want anything that doesnt fully follow the lore to be added, so kinda happy for a game that'll get frequent content updates
There was a sword in arcane adventures that I got. It was the Prometheus n sword. basically, you swing and it launches fire balls of every single fire magic you can think of. You would get burning from each fire magic. It was BROKEN
I don't think Vetex is going to be adding every single Lost and Ancient Magic, given how powerful or strange some of them may be. I think they're just in the list as an explanation. Stuff like Equinox, Phoenix, Shatter, Wave, and Mud may be added as they're simple and not readily broken, somewhat easy to balance. I mean, Phoenix was in AA, so not much work would have to be done to add it into AO. But some of these other ones I don't think will be added. Balance magic just sounds broken, or easily cheeseable. Especially if the neutral reputation thing works. And Promethean Fire was the magic used by, obviously, Prometheus. IIRC there was a character in AA whose grandfather used Promethean Fire as well, but he died when he came into contact with the ocean during a battle with the Arcane Government. It's said to be one of the most powerful, non-curse magics in the universe (One of, not the most powerful, just one of them). I doubt they'd give that to players, especially if someone can just throw on an entire drawback set and instantly kill anyone they come across
You forgot to mention that king calvus is the user of aether magic, its a very interesting spin on light. Im wondering how it will work, since light and explosion magics both differ greatly, with light being low damage and small AOE with great speed but explosion being the opposite.

it's sun and phoenix magic, instead of choosing different magics for his 2nd and 3rd magic he literally tripled down and got fire on all of them so he has two mutations of fire magic instead of one
I think the death magic is the combination of light and shadow because it is what it mean the "death" tbe death is the fate but also unholy but fate is holy that is the problem because it is between these two it might be the combination of it
So how will you use these magics anyhow? Can I overwrite my current magic? Will I be able to switch back to my previous magic? Will I have to make a new save file?
I wonder if those magics replace your original one when learned or if you're still able to use your original abilities, i hope there's some sort of trade while obtaining it otherwise mages will have like 3 different movesets to spam you from, but who knows
I'm not exactly sure but I do know vetex plans to allow mages to have 2 lost magics and 1 Ancient magic so in total with 3 base magics that would be 6 magics lol so it might replace them but idk
im gonna main explosive cannon fist than once they add wave magic i wil change to that so that once i get vampirisim i might be able to steal both health and magic by combinding the two.
Promethean fire was used by angels father and later on angel in the arcane adventure story its a combination of all the great promethean magics its great but wouldnt say its the FINAL magic yk
Inferno is not like the "eternal flame" , that would be actually promethean flame, since when Promethean got desperate he created 5 strongest fire curses, Promethean Flame > Darkflame=Inferno >Ethereal > Scorch (?) iirc, promethean would be all the heats every possible kind of fire related status effect and the other fire curses, Inferno is the Heat of fire you could say embodiment of heat, Darkflame is the consuming nature of fire how it spreads quickly , colors of Darkflame are black with some purple, for the other two i don't know lack of info
Personally, I would prefer to use a lost magic rather than an ancient magic. The Ancient Magics just don't appeal to me as much as the some of the Lost Magics do, as a conjurer I can't just focus on casting spells, I use quick along with weapons to beat my enemies, in most combat I find that I actually lean towards using my weapons as I don't have to worry about cast time, if there's some distance between me and my enemy I'll use a spell or a weapon skill such as Sword Draw Mountain Wind. Basically I would trade a Promethean Fire scroll for a Blizzard or Slash Scroll.
I'm kind of surprised that Phoenix Magic isn't an Ancient Magic based in lore, given how we know that only two people had it ever. also vetex give us arcturus magic as an ancient magic :troll:
bruh curse-beard is Arthur the cursebeard he killed Prometheus and forced him to make the sea curses he became so op by burning a whole lot of area that made Prometheus a bit stronger but him a bit more eventually he burned so much he became stronger than the gods so he became so overpowered that his curse had a subset in lore it is said that Arthur the curse-beard was one of the only wizards that could have beaten dura

To clear everything up for everyone NONE of these are confirmed except for Flare, new magics could be added or removed at anytime in vetex's private Trello, so don't expect all of these to be added, for example Promethean Fire and Mud are confirmed to not be added.

Vetex actually used aether lighting in Arcane Adventures. I remember fighting aha odd who somehow got it. The whole server fought him. It’s crazy strong
promethean flame is just morock's sword of fire from AA (look it up) though losts and ancients has been hidden since people kept making metas and assuming things about the magic when they're going to be added within 2 years.
morocks sword was just a basic arcanium sword, it wouldnt have promethean if morock didnt somehow get a hold of the promethean flame curse

So Cursebeard (Arthur I think was his name) is an old King from Arcane Adventures. He ruled over one of the most powerful and rich kingdom's at the time and was one of the strongest wizards at the time. If I remember correctly, Cursebeard was the only person Theos, the war phoenix, thought had a chance at killing Durza (the evil wizard in Arcane Adventures. Sometime early into the arcane storyline, Cursebeard sets off with his army to find Durza himself. I believe they don't actually find him right away and instead he joins the hero later in the written lore or dies somewhere along the way. Cursebeard's magic was a curse, making him invincible and meaning if he ever died the curse would leave until found my another person. The fact that the curse is now an "Ancient magic" and not a curse, tells me Durza killed Cursebeard, absorbed his curse and then when durza was killed it released it with much less potent energy. However it's probably still very strong. You don't become the strongest man in the 7 seas with regular magic.
Actually Arcane Oddessy seems to be a prequel not a Sequel so it might just be that . . .

If you ever get your hands on the written lore that we never played, it tells you exactly what happened to theos, Arthur, your player, etc. Then it goes on to talk about the WoM lore a little and how that plays into AO

Ancient magics CAN be curses examples such as the inferno curse, promethean fire curse, and darkflame curse all exist, and those are all powerful curses but they are different from their magic counterparts.
see, during the era of the gods, prometheus killed zeus and became the king of the gods, eventually the humans burned all the aureum which was the source of prometheus and the humans' magic powers, so then cursebeard, who burned so much aureum to the point he was stronger than prometheus (which is a bit wacky), anyway, cursebeard and his armies invade olympus, he threatens prometheus to make a stronger form of magic, prometheus does so and gives 4 extremely powerful curses to arthur, the blaze curse, the tide curse, the energy curse, and the ice curse. Prometheus also creates many other curses like the base magic curses which are pretty obvious, fire, earth, water, wind, etc. There are also some external curses he creates which have special properties, like the lazarus curse which makes the user partially immortal (there's a certain chance the user will revive when they die) and the absorbtion curse, which was used by durza, the final boss of AA
but prometheus hid a special set of curses which were called the grand fire curses, these were based off of some ancient magics

and ethereal fire curse, this is different from aether magic and the aether curse, im not sure whether this one is even canon

Magic ideas I can personally think of off the top of my head
1. Igneous cinder: a volcanic type of magic that erupt into both a puddle of lava and a cloud of ash on impact,
2. R-alpha(name required) is a radioactive magic that inflicts decay-low damage over an extended period of time
3. R-beta (name required) a radioactive magic that deals inflicts fracture status high damage over a short period of time
4. Caustic flame: a chemical based magic that inflict the status of melting and burn.
5. Nova metal: a heavy magic mix that launches scorching. Metal a mix of plasma and metal chance to burst into a explosion
6. Gunpowder torrent: a magic that inflict coated making you highly combustible well slowing you just slightly
7. Alternative: a high gambit magic that launches your other 2 magic types randomly. Grant a random minimal buff per shot.
8. Ice IIV: an ancient ice magic’s that applied bleed and freezing well also being extremely durable
9. Eldritch gate: consist primarily of placed attacks that summon other dimensional entities with varying abilities for a single attack that can do high or low damage

11:30 Long ago, playing Arcane Adventures, I saw somebody killing people with an odd white magic that I was un aware of at the time. I saw the screen of somebody fighting them, and it proc'd all the status effects on the victim. Specifically what I saw was the user using the explosion attack, and I theorize that what I saw was Promethean magic. This was years ago, and Arcane Adventure is now a long dead game, I still think back to what I saw.

Though what ever it was, it was surely from his magic, every magic had the same move set, if you pressed e, all magics had an explosion attack, some were pillars, shockwaves, and spheres, similar to AO. Light for an example, had a sphere, and always had a sphere explosion. As for the supposed Promethean magic I saw, it had an indefinite sphere explosion. Also, the Morrocks cursed sword gave a unique white flame debuff, the one I saw procc'd multiple debuffs, such as plasma, fire, lighting, and various other ones. It also sufficiently one shot the dude who got hit by it.
@@MarisoStyle sword of morocks fire did all flame debuffs and promethean flame, and had a massive explosion move that was a massive white orb that lit the surrounding area on fire. It was most likely the sword, most of the dev curses and magics have been documented, and the closest to what you're describing is inferno, which was a deep blue.

Artur the Cursebeard: Was born during the time where the land was still a continent, before Theos and Durza fought and broke the land and seas.
During this "Continental" Era, Prometheus was the first god that gifted humanity something beyond just prayers : Magic. With this new creation, he took over Olympus and dethroned all other gods, declaring himself as the only true god.
At first, magic was only usable with Aurem, hence its higher value even today, and charging did not exist yet.
Artur became a magic user and wanted to become stronger in magic, but soon came to see that all training, combat and anything that would make a use of his magic felt like a crutch to a higher power than just magic. He began thinking that if Prometheus created magic and Aurem alike, he also created something stronger he kept to himself in a godly greed, something used in his overthrowing of Olympus.
Artur journeyed up the highest mountain of all time, unnoticed by Prometheus. In his keep, he found the first Blessing.
Artur took the Blessing and used it to surprise Prometheus in his sleep, with a heavy injure to start the fight. As brutally wounded as both ended up, Artur won and the last god was killed, all magic was changed and all remaining blessings were scattered across the land. In his final breath though, Prometheus whispered a final line that only Artur heard. He put a malignant spell on the blessings he created, he Cursed them, giving them the incompatibility with the sea and weather as well as a toll of the user's mind.
Artur, the first man to hold a curse, naturally looked for more in his almost-everlasting life.
Now, he grasps 4 different ones, and is believed to be the most powerful man alive, the General of the One Shot Pirates, richest crew at sea.
Last heard of sailing away with most of Admirals to fight Durza, deemed a threat for the use of one of the few Curses known to be capable of standing up to Cursebeard: Absorption, along with Dead Revival Magic.
you should have read the AA lore, cursebeard was so strong he killed prometheus himself who wielded prometheus flames after absorbing a ton of aurem.

Promethean Flame seems more like it will possibly be reserved for the very last boss you would fight in the story, given it's emphasis on being rarer than every other magic out there

Forbidden and Cursed skill types are actually meant to be skills that directly send you into negative rep just for knowing them on top of the whole drawback stuff, so basically if you get death magic, embrace the darkness.

Curse bears was a human way back from the times where magic first started, and he was the one who killed Prometheus and forced him to make sea curses
Interestingly enough poison lighting magic is a valid possibility if the lightning flickers out so quickly it doesn’t have the time to ignite the poison
Since lightning is just super heat and Ions it will bond with any element as for if it doesn’t flicker out the poison become a blaze that engulfs 2:55

There was a sword in arcane adventures that I got. It was the Prometheus n sword. basically, you swing and it launches fire balls of every single fire magic you can think of. You would get burning from each fire magic. It was BROKEN
I don't think Vetex is going to be adding every single Lost and Ancient Magic, given how powerful or strange some of them may be. I think they're just in the list as an explanation. Stuff like Equinox, Phoenix, Shatter, Wave, and Mud may be added as they're simple and not readily broken, somewhat easy to balance. I mean, Phoenix was in AA, so not much work would have to be done to add it into AO.
But some of these other ones I don't think will be added. Balance magic just sounds broken, or easily cheeseable. Especially if the neutral reputation thing works. And Promethean Fire was the magic used by, obviously, Prometheus. IIRC there was a character in AA whose grandfather used Promethean Fire as well, but he died when he came into contact with the ocean during a battle with the Arcane Government. It's said to be one of the most powerful, non-curse magics in the universe (One of, not the most powerful, just one of them). I doubt they'd give that to players, especially if someone can just throw on an entire drawback set and instantly kill anyone they come across
You forgot to mention that king calvus is the user of aether magic, its a very interesting spin on light. Im wondering how it will work, since light and explosion magics both differ greatly, with light being low damage and small AOE with great speed but explosion being the opposite.

it's sun and phoenix magic, instead of choosing different magics for his 2nd and 3rd magic he literally tripled down and got fire on all of them so he has two mutations of fire magic instead of one

I wonder if those magics replace your original one when learned or if you're still able to use your original abilities, i hope there's some sort of trade while obtaining it otherwise mages will have like 3 different movesets to spam you from, but who knows

Inferno is not like the "eternal flame" , that would be actually promethean flame, since when Promethean got desperate he created 5 strongest fire curses, Promethean Flame > Darkflame=Inferno >Ethereal > Scorch (?) iirc, promethean would be all the heats every possible kind of fire related status effect and the other fire curses, Inferno is the Heat of fire you could say embodiment of heat, Darkflame is the consuming nature of fire how it spreads quickly , colors of Darkflame are black with some purple, for the other two i don't know lack of info
scorch is the most explosive fire, and ethereal fire is the brightest.
Personally, I would prefer to use a lost magic rather than an ancient magic.
The Ancient Magics just don't appeal to me as much as the some of the Lost Magics do, as a conjurer I can't just focus on casting spells, I use quick along with weapons to beat my enemies, in most combat I find that I actually lean towards using my weapons as I don't have to worry about cast time, if there's some distance between me and my enemy I'll use a spell or a weapon skill such as Sword Draw Mountain Wind. Basically I would trade a Promethean Fire scroll for a Blizzard or Slash Scroll.
As a Conjurer myself, I use self-explosion skills and just barrage enemies with weapons.
I'm kind of surprised that Phoenix Magic isn't an Ancient Magic based in lore, given how we know that only two people had it ever.
