Little Mix - Vocal Analysis

- It's finally done. I apologise for any mistakes I've made haha the video is an actual mess. But anyway I tried my best and it should be factual. I included the registers, vocal control and any special skills (except for Jesy's beatboxing as I really don't know a lit about that). I did not include their specific vocal ranges but I talked about it shortly in the specific registers. Belts, head voice and falsetto are included. This is no hate towards any of the girls as I'm of the opinion that they are all incredibly talented and vital to the group. Special creds to the video owners and to Ruan Fourie on UA-cam.

This is not a hate video on anyone. I tried my best not to under-/overestimate any of them. They're all incredibly talented and vital to Little Mix and anyone who fails to see that is missing out.
Edit: After having received tons of comments about me criticising Leigh-Anne and Jesy, I wanna clear something up: I love them both, and I didn't mean for anyone to perceive it any other way- I was trying to be objective. Please also take into consideration that I did NOT only have bad things to say about them. If you have any questions regarding that or recommendations for videos you'd like me to do, go ahead and ask. Spread love!!
Mjsjeed Thank you for doing this video. I would like to say some things:
-For Jesy you said that she is underrated but you seems to underestimate her as well😅. She has many inflexions in her voice. She is the most versatile in the group in terms of vocal. She can sometimes sound different depending on the effect she wants to give.I don't know if you saw the "Freak" and "Weird people" Performances but you'll notice that Jesy showcase some power when she belts in those songs. Her tone almost come as aggresive which is really interesting.
-As for Leigh Anne, I just wanted to say that there is a significant difference between her lows and her high. When she belts, her voice is very light, bright, quite youthfull. But her lows sound surprisingly mature to the point that she has been confused with Perrie in that department.
Anyway, thank you for this video, I really like those kind of topics.
*seem
I tried my very best not to underestimate her. I did see her Freak note, not sure about the Weird People one. I did mention that she has done some decent belts lately- and probably just forgot to put that note in there. It was indeed impressive and I'm upset I didn't include it. You're completely right, Leigh-Annes tone is a lot darker when she does her low notes. I can already see so many things I forgot to mention, but I guess that's a given with these types of videos. (And again, I really didn't mean to underestimate Jesy, I'm sorry it came off that way- her voice is incredibly interesting to me.) Thank you so much for your comment xx
Mjsjeed No problem 😊. In all cases I appreciate the effort you put to do this video. It's an interesting subject. Thank you 👍
If you were to rank them vocally (no shade) how would the ranking go?
So to put it easy:
Jade is the queen of voice control, Leigh is the queen of belts, Perrie is the queen of head voice, Jesy is the queen of vibrato.
There we go
Aimee Assals Jade is also queen of falsettos/head voice
Yes, of falsetto! Jade does not use proper head voice. I can see her developing a strong head voice, but she's not there yet.
Aimee Assals Perrie is better belter than Leigh thoo
Sorry to say but Leigh tend to scream her notes
Zubed Vian Jade and perrie are the best belters
Jade is the Queen of falsetto and head voice
Perrie is the Queen of High Notes and Belts
Jesy is the Queen of Vibrato and Beatboxing
Leigh-Anne is the Queen Of Note Chages
Am i the only one who thinks the text is too fast? :v
I'm sorry haha xx

You should see her now

This is actually so funny
I agree with most of these. While I am a fan of Little Mix, they definitely have a lot of work to do in improving their vocals.
While it's true that all of them can sing and hit high notes, this analysis is based on a technical standpoint. They are analyzed not based on whether they CAN hit a note but rather on HOW they hit the note if it's healthy or not, which maybe confusing to fans who aren't well-versed with musical technique and theory. And the general consensus is that Little Mix needs to work on a lot of things vocally. It is very imperative to have a healthy technique because it helps retain the voice. And I'm sure we all like that to be the case for Little Mix.
Obviously, Perrie has the best technique in the group followed by Jade. Leigh and Jesy (and basically all of them) needs a bit more work which shouldn't be a bad thing. It is their job to keep improving and honing their craft anyway.
Lincoln Eyar Babe the fact is that JADE HAS THE BEST TECHNIQUE OUT OF THE GROUP!!!
Lincoln Eyar Technique crown is given to Jade in LM! Then it is perrie!
Jade is really good. She's the most consistent among all of them but she has to develop other parts of her voice, her middle and upper register to be exact. Perrie is a bit more inconsistent but she has a more developed voice overall. So she is the technique queen of the group. :)) Jade is the consistency queen. :))
I'd have to agree with Lincoln Eyar. Perrie is developed in almost every department, whereas Jade would still have to work on head voice, for example. Jade very rarely misses her notes, and is, like you said, the most consistent. Although I'd like to add that Jade has the most controlled voice and generally more vocal control than Perrie, same with agility. So there are definitely some things that Jade does better in terms of technique. I might even be able to agree that she has a better technique than Perrie, but for that, she first needs to develop all of her registers.
YASS. They're definitely very close to each other. :))
My Queens:
Jade-Queen of Head note
Perrie-Queen of High Note
Jesy-Queen of Sexy Voice
Leigh Anne-Queen of Note Changing
Sugar Mommy Poor Leigh-Anne! I often see her note changing as a way to cop out of the harder notes she hitsin the studio version but might struggle with live. Now you're giving her a crown for it. 😜 I guess we have different interpretations of why she note changing but I actually see Jade as the Queen of note changing. In a good way. She does this vocal acrobatics with a confidence and sass showing she's not scared to change it up and make it sound just as good if not better. X
+musicbliss77 Okey.
Leigh is not really the "queen of note changes" (I feel very awkward writing this). She's great, but her note changes often seem misplaced and not very controlled. She HAS gotten better at them though, so let's give her some credit for that xx
For all of you guys. I understand. We have a different opinion about them. Thank you for sharing your opinions to me.
@@mjsjeed184 You really are no one stfu im so sick and tired of stupid "mixers" bringing down my leighanne like stfu yall cant sing for shitt
Honestly I’m a huge mixer and have been since 2012 and I know most people are commenting that you were being mean but I actually really enjoyed this. It was fun learning the technical side of the girls’ voices I think some people just love them so much that they refuse to believe that the girls don’t always sound amazing or that they do have weak moments. But to me, this did not seem biased or anything and it was fun to be shown things in the girls’ voices that I wouldn’t have heard before
That's probably the problem, and I totally respect people having different opinions. It's nice having people understand my side of the story though, so thank you, it really means a lot xx
Exactly I'm a hugeee little mix fan. And its obvious that you love the girls too. It was very interesting to learn more about the different aspects of singing and their voices. I do agree with you that Jade has the most control.I also have seen Perrie's voice deteriorate and I wonder why?
Thank you lovely! Perrie has strained a lot in the past. She's faced a lot of vocal challenges and she just keeps pushing. Add to that the amount of shows they do, it's no wonder her vocal chords are damaged. The more you strain, the more your vocal chords suffer. Other good examples of that are Bebe Rexha, Dinah Jane and Demi Lovato. If you want me to explain that further, go ahead and ask xx
Mjsjeed Van Can Perrie's voice recover?
Ari D. B. S
Regardless they're still my Little Beyoncés.
Cherry Lumba ah nah honey they have a lot more to work on before they're even close to Beyoncé in destiny's child debut. Let alone solo Beyoncé
LERRIE GRANDE not in success, not in talent, not in music. How are they over them?
What's the point of such comparison anyway? Little Mix is practically DC's children because Kelly Rowland helped put them together. Would you seriously ever compare a child to their mum? That's just plain stupid. Plus, they're great in their own leagues. Given enough time and resources (and rest you hear me Shitco), I'm sure LM (5H too) can be another legendary group along with DC and Spice Girls and many more

Janice Lam ah yes well if we take the league of Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez they're talented. But in comparison to all singers in DC, 5H and LM are weak. Also Whitney Houston was a better singer than Cissy Houston and DC in their debut had stronger vocals than LM. Not that they can't be legendary it's that they aren't. DC was an established group since they're 2nd album which went platinum and had a number one. If we speculate into the future there's no reason why Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and many others can't be good, but it's what's currently happening or has happened that matters.
I'm so happy to see that a Mixer finally got past the stage of thinking that Little Mix was perfect in all aspects, and actually tried to give an accurate representation of Little Mix. Representing all the Mixers, salute, salute!!

Thank you so much! That's right xx
I love leigh’s growl
I like this kind of vids. Judging their abilities with knowledges not just opinion from hardcore fans.
Thank you for understanding that! It means a lot xx
i think jade has the most technique and control and versatility but all the girls are beyond amazing and have their own strengths. perrie can sustain notes for days, leigh has a beautiful fairy-like voice that brings lightness to their group and she works extremely hard to improve because she knows ppl think she isn't talented enough but her voice is my favorites after jade. also her stage presence is AMAZING. Jesy has a very unique voice and her beat boxing abilities bring the group's talent to the next level.
PS: Leigh switching up SLS sounded absolutely amazing so no one cares if you think it was executed poorly tbh.
I thought you were agreeing with me for a second there! Haha, but it IS an analysis, so you can't expect me to label it as "amazing" and leave it at that. I understand your point though and agree with everything else. Good day xx
Katherine Celine I agree 100% but telling someone you 'dont care' about what they think on THEIR account/channel/blog is kinda rude
Clearly you do care if you came on here to the the person who did the video that you don't care. Politeness is classy and free.
Perrie's technique and control is like 100x better than Jade's one though...
LGBT IS BAE lie and you know it😂😂 just pulling facts when we all know which member is best at what!!
I just wanna point out that Leigh Anne does those growls on purpose she doesn’t accidentally do it she means to do it.
Wow. A lot of people think this is a hate video. It's obviously not. The creator is not saying Leigh and Jesy are bad. They're saying they have some stuff to work just as she said with Perrie and Jade. It's not that deep, guys. She's trying to make you more informed about technical singers. Not trying to slander your faves.
Thank you!
lol I love that you added "it's not that deep, guys." Really it isn't. These girls are amazing, in many ways, but even amazing singers have way to improve their technique...which would make them even more amazing.
I personally love Leighs power note change, it really suits the song
This is the most honest vocal analysis I found.... Really good man!
Am I the only one who liked also the "bad" things?😂
I mean they make their vocals less perfect but more real😍
Kilari 20 🙋🏾you're not the only one at all.
Loved the vid I just wish you said something about how Jesy is the only one who can beat box like you did with Leigh-Anne about rapping but, overall amazing vid! I love LM so I'm disappointed in the mixers! This was constructive criticism! It wasn't hate they were pointing out the good AND the bads!
Yes, I could have! I don't know anything about beatboxing so I left it out, but I could have at least mentioned it. And thank you for understanding and being nice xx
Colin McD I'm agree, there are some acts that Jerrie can't do but Lesy can. And i think it's important to mention then. And also this video is surprisingly not biased. What this video needs is something positive about Lesy. To be a perfect constructive critism, the video have to let the object know what they are good at, so the object know what they have to grow.
I've been actually waiting for a little mix vocal analysis video. Yours is the first if I am not mistaken.
As a mixer, I 100% agree with your analysis. Thank you for clarifying up that you're not trying to spread hate. :)
My only concern is.. I had to pause the video plenty of times just to read the text. Lol
Thank you so much! I'll do better next time, I doubled the time for every text :D Sorry though xx
There's no such thing as a perfect singer so of course little mix has to work on their voices. Even with all that being said, they're still technically stronger than a lot of singers out there. I'm no music major or analyst but these girls have skills I haven't seen in singers in a long time.
Thanks for the video!!!
c g in a long time? Where have you been? Beyoncé, Gaga, JoJo, Tori Kelly
I didn't refer to the perfect part I referred to the part where he said they have talent that he hasn't seen in the pop scene in a while, although Beyoncé, Tori, JoJo and Gaga are far superior in every way to each of the singers in the group
This is a very fair vocal analysis. 😊
Thank you. This video really helped me to understand these queens a bit more❤
Thank you for watching! I'm glad you liked it xx
in my opinion, I think leigh's runs are the best out of the group. they sound so beautiful with her tone, and they always sound so smooth.

My girl jesy ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Panda Unicorn They all slay but she is lit 😍
i would argue that perrie’s voice has been deteriorating. 2015/16 for me was when she hit her prime, but during the glory days era she sounds increasingly strained, like with Power, especially live. don’t know, what are your opinions?
Yes! I would say her vocal peak was from around 2012 (when they first started) to around 2014. She's been struggling with head voice increasingly since then, as with her belts.
Mjsjeed okay, makes sense, i thought she had trouble during the beginning because of her surgery and then improved from there, but lately hasn’t sounded too great. good to know it’s not just me who thinks it
I agree. That's not her fault tho, they did three tours this year (over 100 shows) and that's why she's tired. She even said once "my voice is fucked" due to all the relentless tours.
Little Mix Queens I agree, I think that's all due to the fact that this has been so busy, I mean 3 tours in one year is a bit much. Because if they had the year off they're vocals would be stronger than ever.
Little Mix Queens true, their label is fucking exploiting them. They need a big rest
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. It's really well thought out and informative :)
why is leigh-anne always either hated on, put down or harshly criticised in EVERY single video of little mix?! like i would say she is one of the best in little but she’s just underrated, under appreciated and overhated. LEIGH ANNE DESERVES MORE LOVE AND RECOGNITION!
chill down she did not hate her on. nobody said she was a bad singer.
@@SN-en2zh it's a fact though that people try to put her down and call her the weakest although it's not that popular anymore. Leigh Anne is second best vocalist after Perrie and I'm not sure why people refuse to see her voice for what it is. Jade is my bias but she comes third technically but unfortunately this fandom doesn't know how to separate their bias most times it's silly.
@@calumlukeashmike8724 In my opinion jesy is second and perrie is first and leigh anne is last because jesy's vibrato (that she sometimes forces) is still quite amazing and in my opinion her belts are better then jades 🤷🏽♀
Perrie actually drops support at C5/C#5. And the first example is an F5, not a G#5.
I never said she doesn't. She shows consistent support up to C5, C#5's are inconsistent. And yes it is, I'm sorry for the confusion xx
I think the strain in Perrie's voice is amazing!
Jesy hits an F5 belt live at the x factor's performance of shout out to my ex
A lot of people like the sound of strain, which is totally subjective and up to you. In terms of technique and music, it's wrong, a sign of struggling and can damage someone's vocal chords. It's not good at all, but if you like the sound of it, then that's okay. And yes, she does, and she's also hit a G5 before (in Weird People).
Davide Orsini ye
Davide Orsini strain there is no’’good kind of strain’’ strain results in vocal damage honey
people will fight and argue over who’s the best singer because they come as a collective 4- as a student of music and from a vocal coach as a mother, also the judges on x factor said she is and simon who owned the label they were signed to said too& all the vocal coaches i’ve watched (still an opinion), perrie is the best singer , her voice can do everything, falsetto, vibrato, head-voice, high notes, soft & powerful voice, a growl. she can do anything. They are all absolutely insane but personally i think perrie is the best & i hate when people say she’s the queen of high notes, she’s able to do everything not just hugh notes! but as a 4 they go together perfectly and i wouldn’t want any of them solo or anything. i love them all so much. i( don’t leave any hate please, my opinion and others)
I would definitely agree with this! Perrie is an all-round developed singer.
Mjsjeed true!!
Exactly. I get that fans want to believe they are equal but technically speaking there is always going to be someone better in a group. What fans don't understand is just because perrie has the best technique doesnt mean the others are bad.
What I also think it’s funny is that you say Jesy’s lower voice is weak but I think that is where Jesy’s known for she has kind of a darker sexy voice with a good vibrato, I don’t agree sonetimes with the way you describe the voices of all the girls
What I said was that her lower register is weak. That doesn't have anything to do with her tone. She's very inconsistent with hitting lower notes and she doesn't support in her lower register. If you still have questions, go ahead and ask xx
It's hard to say as I love them all, but if I had to choose it'd probably be Jade and Leigh-Anne xx
Kenan Arslan.I thought too!
In conclusion: Jade and perrie are the strongest and EQUAL also, because jade and perrie both have their own strengths and weaknesses, so we cannot say who is better, but definitely they both are the strongest out of LM!
I think jades is a little bit ahead of pez.. Just a tine bit when it comes to versatility..
Strongest of little mix? Lol what a joke. Leigh is easily too 2 vocalist in the group. Stop going by who you like the most
Meabh O'Cofaigh it’s 2020, that Leigh Anne lacks confidence argument has ended dusting the glory days era. Leigh is much better then jade, jade is good but she does not have the vocals Leigh does hence to why she gets the most hard notes after perrie.
@@-mushroom-9326 I agree with you. Even though her confidence has improved, there is still a lot we're yet to witness! Also, I'd also agree that Jade still has a better technique. (I'm not a professional though.)
Ok Perrie is almost flawless
I love the way Jade and Jesy look at Leigh Anne @ 5:55 That was a very creative note change!
Jade seems the most confident with her voice now, sometimes too confident after the GDT and as made us all shook after hitting her some big high notes like in wings, freak, oops, F.U.(head voice), touch, shout out to my ex, black magic, power, nmss and many more. She is getting most confident because her voice has really got all that is required and she has worked on lot of parts of her voice. Her belts are even stronger these days. She has the best technique, breath control, voice control, agility out of all. She is given the most complex vocal runs in the group because she can only handle it the best out of all. She gets the most adlibs even. She is the absolute 100% queen of falsettos no doubt there. She is using the head voice also the most in the group. She has a really impressive head voice that is just heaven, the other girls have said this in an interview even. Moreover her head voice has shown the potential to be best. Jade is gradually becoming the best in the group.
I think little mix all have poewefull voices but every voice is unique.. I love Jade’s head voices so I didn’t understand why it was bad but everyone has their opinion of course.. What I love about little mix is that they don’t mind to experiment but know what suits them best and they now their role. If one girl struggles with a kind of voice, there are 3 other girls that maybe could do that or one girl is very good at singing that and the other girl has another very good quality about her voice.. Let’s just say that heir singing voices in general are all good. I really liked your video and most of the time agreed with it but not everything
Yes, well said. They complement each other. What you're most likely referring to is Jade's falsetto, which people easily confuse with head voice. Jade has shown that she has potential for a greatly developed head voice though- she's just not there yet. Thanks for your support xx
i love this vid, very nice analysis and your work is smooth and lovely, keeping up the good work :D
I think Jade makes the best falsetto/head voices
Leigh Anne Pinnock is amazing , her runs are EPIC
Jade is definitely going to get more belts and high notes in the future for sure because her voice shows the potential to be best. And for sure her head voice will also become best. Queen, her voice can even be one of the most strongest and powerful voices.
Did anyone saw when Jesy was doing her part in Power ("B-b-body make 'em stutter") the video behind lagged with Jesy's face looking at the right then quickly switches to Perrie's face and then continues? 😂
Honestly I fell in love with Jade's voice
I love this video, this showed the weakness and also the strongest side of their voice. Everyone has their unique especialty 👌👑💖
Thank you Nicole xx And yes, they definitely do!
I See, Perrie has the best technique in the group, but I see a lot in Jesy. Jesy need more help than the others. No one see it, everybody thinks that Leigh-Anne needs the most help, but its Jesy. Ho do I see that? Ofcourse you see her on stage, she had a amazing voice! Better than me! But I see in her face and eyes that she need more help. It is difficult to understand, so it is harder to explain. Jesy has a lot of power in her voice, more than she shows now. She is so under control with a little help. It is not only the management that has to help her, we also have to support her. The more support she receives from us, the better she knows that we are helping. Everyone says 'Perrie' 'Jade', but where is the help for Jesy and Leigh-Anne. They are coming. Watch out!
KOENKIEPOWAAH Ruana The fact is Jade has the best technique out of the group. Her technique is really great.
KOENKIEPOWAAH Ruana and perrie's technique is not good at all that is why her voice has deteriorated. Leigh's has improved much. So Jade has the best technique followed by leigh then perrie and then jesy.
They all have horrible technique except for jade lol. Perrie constantly strains her voice
You won't even say nice things about Leigh without comparing her to the others
To me most enjoyable to listen are Jesy and Perrie
Thanks for this video. It was very interesting to me. Though Perrie may be the 'BEST VOCALIST' I would say this is really from a 'technical perspective'. She is very impressive indeed with this but the best vocalist does not necessarily mean the best sounding voice. For instance I find maybe more pleasure in listening to the lighter less heavier tones of Jade/Leigh and indeed Jesy's distinctive smooth like chocolate voice is such a delight. So with Perrie I might raise an eyebrow thinking wow she hit a high or belted a strong note but with the others I might raise an eyebrow to how pretty they sound. Ultimately this is why they are such a 'good mix'. Apart from Jade and Leigh their voices are so different and it all works together so well.
I'm very glad you said that! I've mentioned this a lot, Perrie is the best vocalist, but that doesn't mean that people might not prefer Jesy's slow vibrato over Perrie's. In the end, it's all about personal preferences. What definitely can be said though is that they blend together incredibly well & they know their harmonies and dynamics, which is incredibly important in a group.
loved this video!
This video was absolutely incredible in terms of technicality! I agreed with everything on Jesy's part, and even though I've never noticed it before now I can hear the strength behind the different parts of all the girls voices. I loved getting to learn about the technical side of all the girls! Well done!!
Thank you for understanding what I was trying to do! Means a lot xx
Great Video!! I really enjoyed it and you included everything about them!!
Don't you have anything good to say about Leigh? :( Just saying, she is so freaking talented queen. Her voice is from heaven. Her high notes gives me life. And she is singing so beautifully while she is dancing! I could never ever do that. What an incredible queen. I don't want to compare their voices either, they are all equally good for me❤(sorry if this comment sounds rude, and sorry about my english I'm from Finland)
I've already answered this quite a few times. I'm gonna explain this one last time. I did praise Leigh in the video, and several times at that - she's got a great tone, a powerful voice and she's done some good runs. She still has a lot of problems with her technique (vocal control, agility, support) and like I said, she's been improving lately. I was just trying to be objective and not make them better than they are. I'm sorry you perceived it that way, I really do love Leigh-Anne. All love (and your English is great btw) xx
Mjsjeed Omg thanks I'm always so nervous about my English xd
Yuka Kitty OMG MÄKI OON SUOMALAINEN JA MIXER JDJDS
Eerika H OMG!!❤❤Ihana löytää suomalaisii täältä :)
Mjsjeed Do you think there is much scope for improvement when she's now been in the group for 5 years? Surely they have vocal training and this is her peak...?
Perrie is the best singer in this group!! Just because you love Jade doesn't mean that she will be the best...
BTW it's
Perrie
Leigh
Jade
Jesy
I think there trying to have jade compete with perrie because they hate that perrie got the most attention out of them but I do think perrie always got a little line to sing
Jade is the best 👑👑👑👑👑 then perrie then jessy then leigh
sometimes it’s not even the techniques that flaw but the songs as such and the confidence, they know how to sing, they’ve proven it, all of them, but sometimes they hesitate (i can relate because i sing too) they can all reach high notes (belted, mixed, head or falsetto -whatever you wanna call it-) but sometimes their voices don’t suit the expectations of the public so it sounds wrong or even their natural range don’t cover those notes so they strain sometimes. they are all PURRRfect and i love them!
Actually Jade has so many good belts and she can do Bb5s. Also did you hear her in the Freak one? I think she is starting to improved her technique for her belts. She hits A5s belts at live 2 times and she can do G#5s very good. Sometimes she strained but I can understand because it is a really throaty and hard note to hit. Also she didn't do them on live but she was good at Beep Beep and If I Get My Way. It's happy to see her improving. I hope in LM5 she will show herself better than ever
I loved this video. Even though Leigh is my favourite, Jade has the best voice by far. I love them all and i think they complement each other's strenghts and flaws very well and that's why they're my favourite group, no one tries to outshine anyone and they get very happy for each other's sucess but that's far from my point. Everyone in Little Mix needs to work on specific areas to get better vocally and this video explains that so well. Great Job!
I sound like you just bringing leighanne down.
Leighanne sings amazing
Little mix girls are in real one of the best vocalists of this generation specially Jade and perrie.
why do some people hate jesy’s vibrato ? i love it tbh 🥺💔
Wooow. Amazing video. Really helpful
Thank you! Means a lot, I'm glad you liked it xx
can I share this video in a Russian social media? As a link obvs
Of course!
thanks xx
I don’t mind critique if it’s not comparing one person to another. I think you really was harsh with Leigh-Ann. Yes she has room for growth. But you can’t say she sings breathless when she’s performing as she wouldn’t be human if she wasn’t they all sound breathless as they always give 110% unlike some groups. And the remark that she has improved because she is picking up Jades habits when you just finished slating Jade for the same thing. Lacks consistency. Yes you know about key changes and register, breath and overall control. But you need to critique the person by there own potential and not the others.
Wow! This is very detailed and very accurate! Thank you mjsjeed!!! You highlight all the important factors!!!
I loved the video! You explained very well and made a good analysis. Thank you
Thank you for your nice comment xx
Perrie for me is number 1
leigh needs more love.
I understood nothing about this but still watched all and enjoyed seeing someone else display such knowledge of something that seems so simple to people who know nothing about music or vocal training. Great video, great group, still room for improvement!
Love this analysis.. I'm a super fan of Little Mix esp. JADE.. i keep on hitting pause so i can read your analysis.. the text shown is really fast but anyway i love it.. thanks!
Fucking THANK YOU for this video! You brought up some things that I hadn't noticed yet. Great job! You were being very objective and you clearly weren't trying to hate, so everyone complaining in the comments can calm down.
Thank you! I'm glad I could help. And thank you for understanding, it's good to see that sometimes as well xx
they are so underrated
I think this video is great. I love learning about the technical side of singing. Seeing as to how the girls in Little Mix are among my absolute faves, I really enjoyed seeing an analysis of their different techniques, healthy or unhealthy. I think it'd a great idea if you were to do another video in about a year or so with some more recent clips, because the girls have definitely been improving as of late. But I do know that these take time to put together.
This was a great video to really understand the members voices. Even though some people thought it was hate, I actually loved it. The video was about breaking down each other’s strengths and weaknesses and they shouldn’t be ashamed about them. Individually they all have their strong points and that’s what makes them an awesome and inspiring girl group
Thank you so much! I'm sorry for the late reply, but I'm glad you understood the concept of the video. And I agree, the way they complement each other's strengths and weaknesses is their greatest strength as a group xx
Jesy has my fave voice in the group. Love her.
Great video! Can you give me the link of the video where Jade belts SLS please?
Thank you! There you go: vimeo.com/192039188 xx
Just what I needed!Wonderful Job,really good with those terms😁
Thank you, means a lot xx
This video is very educational.
I feel somewhat educated as a Mixer hehe
And I'm also happy to say that from the time this video went up, I think our gorgey huns truly have improved
Jade is the best 😍 i love you jade 😘
1. Leigh
2. Perrie
3. Jade
4. Jesy
I genuinely like all four ladies and at different times all their voices have hit me... However I must say that Perrie was the one that I noticed from the beginning because her voice truly hit my soul. There was just something that really captured me... She’s a powerhouse
Can you do an updated version of this please. In the last 3 years there has been a lot of obvious growth in their vocals especially in LM5. I would love to hear your current thoughts
VERY ACCURATE 😍😍😍
Thank you love xx
I personally think Jade has amazing resonance in her belts, but I understand where you're coming from.
I thought this was absolutely amazing. You added just the right amount of criticism and the whole video was flawless. Well done! Xx
Thank you so much! I'm glad you can see the intention behind it xx
And now leigh has so many good belts this last year was her year!!
Can you send me the link of this performance? 0:52
It's not on UA-cam, but you can watch it safely here: vimeo.com/192039188
Mjsjeed Thank you :) great video btw. I was waiting for something like this about Little Mix :)
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it xx
I loved this video!!!! It made me feel like i'm a professional lmao
I love this comment!
This is valid criticism. I do like the way you were trying to be objective and pinpoint both good and bad techniques that they have. You also could have taught some people what to do or what to avoid while singing. I'm impressed! Love your work♥️
As a fellow Mixer I gladly appreciate this video. It goes more into depth of the strengths and weaknesses of each member. If anyone interprets this as a hate video you are quite mistaken. No vocalist is perfect, and although these girls never fail to slay, everyone could use some improvement.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! That's exactly what I was trying to achieve with this video.
My beautiful QUEEN LEIGH ANNE, IS AMAZING 👑
Leigh and Jes did not get much justice in this video
Thanks, I’ve learnt a lot!!!
I'm glad!
Leigh Anne always surpises me. She' underrated vocally compared to the rest for sure. They've all improved a LOT. Before everyone considered Perrie the best for her full voice but by now they've all proven to be a force to reckon with ESPECIALLY when singing together. One thing is that they all seem aware of their limitations (except perrie sometimes) like when Leigh dodges big notes not to screw up her voice which is nice since some artists can harm themselves
They all complement each other's strengths and weaknesses so well, and I guess that's what makes them as great as they are. It's true that it's crucial to know your limits as a singer, and I hate that managements very rarely seem to deem that important. Hoping for Leigh-Anne and all of them to improve even more in the future xx
