I felt totally defeated and like I’d never get better before watching this video and I’m not even a quarter of the way through and I feel more equipped holding my guitar than I ever have. Why do you only have 31,000 subscribers? You are amazing. Even though I'm 66, I'm pretty much a beginner. I took half a dozen years of lessons as a kid, can read music, tabs, and play chords but my strumming rhythms, bar chords, finger picking, and playing sucks. I've wanted to get better and for the past 15 or so years have watched hundreds of you tube tutorials trying to find the solution but have come up dry. Until I saw your How to Teach Yourself Guitar video and now this video. You have a gift. I think you have given me the formula to get better quicker than anything I've found so far. Thanks. Keep up the good work. You are appreciated!!!!

My son has been learning guitar for 1.5 years and he is 10yo. We’ve been through 6 teachers (variety of reasons but family issues, health issues, moving away, etc). He’s been jostled around and should be a lot further ahead. I’m happy to have found your videos and I’m going to be learning from you and will share these with my son. We homeschool and you have an excellent way of teaching that I think he will enjoy. Thank you for making this so much more simple for us!
Hey, I watched your video on beginner tips and you were like JUST PLAY SOMETHING, so I picked this video from you. Honestly I’m so grateful you exist. Most of the videos I find on UA-cam are made by men who love to talk about things I don’t understand because I’M A BEGINNERRR and they’re boring and make me feel excluded from this part of the world. But this was very easy to follow, I think the way you divided everything into steps that grow progressively more complex was a really good method. If i would have started trying to do it all since the beginning I would have gotten really frustrated. You’re very likable. I like you. You’re my new go-to guitar guru. You’re the Shifu to my Po. That’s a Kung Fu Panda reference, I hope you get it, otherwise you’re compromising our friendship. Anyways, if you could do a video that’s something fun for people who’re trying to learn but aren’t really beginners but also get easily frustrated when things get too hard and can’t really find anything that’s fun and a little challenging without being tooooo challenging so I don’t get frustrated and yea that’s me, how did you know? Dude i started a couple of days ago and this video is the best resource i've found so far, loved it, straight to the point, simple and super easy to understand . Everyone else wastes half of the video talking bullshit and the other half trying to sell you their lessons websites. Keep it up mate

I love the clean tones of an acoustic guitar played fingerstyle. All i do these days are chord loops and play along with that, exploring fingerstyle arrangements/experiments. Its been the most fun ive had in my whole guitar experience. Im kinda stuck here.
I've had a guitar in my hands for a long time playing mostly rock and country but just now learning to use my fingers you have been a great help. your not just feeding people your teaching them to fish. peace and Thanks for the video

When I refer to fingerstyle guitar I’m referring merely to the technique of playing with your fingers, so classical guitar would fall under the category of “fingerstyle guitar”, if that makes sense.
