That was really great. I just recently picked up a mandolin after years of guitar. I love the lick, and you're right, its an easy way to start to understand instrument!
Yes, I learned this lick and I love it. Thansk Hayes! I just started to add a little variation to it. Works perfect for the first 4 measures of the blues where we repeat the lick.
This is great and so easy to learn. For some variation It just needs a little push at the end. Instead of playing the whole D riff, play: d, f#, a, c, b, a, c, b, a, g, g#, a (4th string run up).
What do you think of this lick and this lesson? Please let us know by leaving a comment!
Teach on Hayes. Having you and Magnus double teaming us is a good thing.
Yes Lewis, I love Hayes content as well! I´m learning something every time. -Magnus

Thanks! Explained well and fun to play. I'm good at 100 and need to build speed. Thanks Hayes.
You’re so welcome! I appreciate the feedback. Keep hitting that lick and I’m sure the speed will increase in no time 🤠

That's a cool variation MrJDNJ!
I agree with Magnus, nice variation! 🤠🤘
@@HayesGriffin thanks you guys! Now I'm learning the riffs in the closed position, same key. Start on the g string 7th fret. Same pattern all around!!
Muito bom. Obrigado.
De nada meu amigo 🤠
