Hydrophilic coating on glass windows

that's what im concerning so far.
why dont we use hydrophillic coating for window/winshield instead of hydrophobic ones?
is there any technical barriers or other real-life matters like poor vision or wipers?
because if im a car owner i'd rather choose this coating for my windshield. :)

I am a water fed pole window cleaner. would love to try this. If works, I know many pole cleaners interested as well.

I can't believe that it's affective the moment it hits the glass. No buffing at all. That's crazy! There would definitely be a market for this with water fed pole users.

No nothing yet. There are ,any of these coatings out there so takes a while. You got to hound them daily. Looking into a few products the Chem Guys have.

The coating did not show any degradation even after six months in indoor conditions. In harsh conditions, it will degrade after some time. Systematic test will take a long time, and it was not done yet.

It was a common one-hand sprayer. Any type of sprayer can be used.
