Okay, I don’t know who needs to hear this but my guy is accurate as hell. I’ve called the IRS because I had a 971 &570 code with the same date. And they told me they automatic fixed my mistake. They didn’t need anything from me . Also I’m a 5 so my transcript actually did update like he said on Fridays. Today I checked it(05/13/22) and I have a 571 code and a 846 code: hopefully I’ll receive my DD this week! Thanks you for this video!

I got a 4883c letter to verify my identity and I went to the office to do in person, I checked my transcript online and no codes available. It says no refund filed and I track the refund status on where’s my refund and it says information does not match our records even tho it was showing return recieved before the letter was sent. I’m sick to my stomach it’s been 4 weeks after verifying my identity in person and I don’t see a code on transcript neither can I track my refund

My transcript shows 0.00 with a date of 2/14/2022 that’s on account transcript because on return transcript shows N/A

I watched another video that said cycle 05 was Friday weekly batch not Thursday. I'm 05 and my updates happened Friday morning and I check Transcript all the time . Then Saturday wmr website updates normally . I don't see one today on my transcript and was hoping tomorrow. I'm 05.

So this morning my transcript posted and it has a processing date of February 28th . I was hoping my return comes before that date cause in the past Ive noticed it comes earlier than that date . My wmr won't update until tomorrow but my taxes are processed which is good and I have all 766 credit codes just not the 846 code yet due to path act. Was hoping I would get a dd of 16th.
My transcript been the same for 1 week now I checked for a update this morning and nothing changed processing date says 2-21-22 and my WMR haven’t updated yet either don’t know when it will update I have all 766 codes I just don’t have 846 code and not sure when I will get that code cause my cycle code ends in 05 so since my transcript didn’t update today I think I have to check back next Friday for a update

I finally can see my return transcript with 766 codes but no 846 due to path act they can't release it but I'm shocked wmr hasn't given a date of next week for you . Cause I think wmr for weekly batchers only updates Saturday for us.

I’m not understanding because I received my state already but my federal says it’s being delayed and when I looked at my transcript it said addition account action pending for 3-7-22
State can be paid before federal (not uncommon) since processed by different agencies. Your federal refund may be lower than expected due to other account actions (see some recent videos I did on this). You state refund could be adjusted later in the year or the next if monies need to be returned.
Why would it be lower if I don’t owe anything?
2/10/23 I just check for my transcript But the second page should have the rest of the codes that started on page one. How ever it does not, I’m hoping by next week Friday I’ll check to see if it updated. Hopefully I made sense lol I’m also a 5

I talk to the IRS and I asked them about the code, 971 and 570. They told me that it was a math area and they working on it and she say it might take up to six weeks to get a refi back.
Yes 570 = IRS review. If it is for a reconciliation of a credit or deduction you claimed then the IRS can auto-resolve in most situations. May involve a manual review so that's why it takes longer than normal. The 971 is the default code for notice issued.

i recieved a letter saying i have a adjusted refund amount of $9.204.00the notice name is cp12 notice date is may 23,2022 . when I look up my transcript it says refund -9204.00 then down it has a code of 150 tax return filed cycle 20221805 date 5/23/2022 I don't understand ? please help
So CP12 notice means the IRS has made an adjustment to your refund (to the $9,204). The negative amount on your transcript is fine - it is how the IRS shows it is repaying you an overpayment of taxes (i.e. you refund). You should be getting you refund this week based on your cycle code.
My transcripts updated but their no code it says no tax return filed please help
Could just be processing still. Give it a few days, especially given IRS backlogs.

I would really like to understand what is going on with my tax filing. Apr 18 gave info to tax preparer and she filled it for me electronically. I owed money to irs around 2k. Now i didnt do much until may 18 when i created online account and saw my transcipt as of date was may 09 cycle code was 20221605 and date next to it 00-00-000 there was no processing date as well my 19 and 20 tax were normal no change. On may 20 since i learned i was weekly update my transcipt updated to as of june 6 processing date added june 6 and date next to cycle june 6 as well and i got codes 170,196( penalty and interest) and 971 issued for june 6. I looked at my 19 and 20 and now those have date as of june 6 lol and i freaked out cause i made mistake reading reddit and that it means that i am getting audited. Next update was on may 20 and nothing changed except they added credit that i made payment online and mind you they processed it for 2018 and then transferred it to 2021 and my as of date on 21 changed to june 20 and my 19 and 20 still show june 6. Please help me understand what the hell is going on with my return. Thank you

This was very informative! Thank you for posting it. I do have a question that no-one in the IRS seems to know the answer to. Why would the IRS change my direct deposit to mailing a check? According to Tax Advocates, the IRS initiated it. I have not received any letter or phone call explaining why. My bank said nothing has come through or tried to come through. None of the three exceptions apply to me (found on the IRS website to initiate a check) and I have never asked to have a check issued; only direct deposit. I've spoken to accounts management twice, a supervisor and three times to IRS agents. Nobody can tell me anything other than there's nothing they can do. It's being mailed out in three days and no-one can change it back to my original direct deposit. Any answers would be welcome!!!
My guess is this was system generated. For some reason your return was flagged under their automated fraud checks (maybe you changed address, your bank has other fraudulent activity, your refund was adjusted and/or larger than usual) so they switched to paper check. Honestly could be several reasons, but as long as you get your refund mailed to the correct address the main hassle will be the delay in getting paid.
What is that 500 dollar amount next to the 846 code, is that also added to the return? mine has credit amounts that add up to a different number that shows on top as the net refund, it’s a lump sum of the net refund and the refund issue amount next to code 846. Am I missing something?

Try scroll down to the bottom of youre transcript. I did just now and saw a date of 2-24-22 and it was my full amount.. maybe it’s the same case as you . Hope that helps

I claimed 4 dependents married joint filing. I filed 01/27 accepted day after. I am weekly my code ends in 05. My refund issued date says 846 code 02/16/22. Does the irs take back the stimulus payments and child tax credit payments we received?
Stimulus checks overpayments cannot be recovered if already paid. CTC over payments can be (and are a big issue for delays this year)

The 21st was just an automated date given by the system on my transcripts when it’s likely to come but it updated on the 19th that’s when I got the 846 code saying my refund was issued next to a date of 02/24/22 I immediately checked wmr and it also updated bars was back saying approved with the same exact date

On my line 846 it says 3-26-21 refund date I’m confused.
Need to wait till you get a 2022 date, otherwise still processing. Do you have any other codes on your transcript? 570 for example could reflect held up for additional reviews or verification by the IRS.

2022 processing dates reflect what is happening on your 2021 return, since you submit your 2021 calendar year return in 2022

The different dates are just due to the system default dates (04-15) vs actual processing. The date that matters is the one on the 846 line. When processed you should see a 2022 date. If you see N/A or only 2021 dates, it means your return is still being (or had not yet) been processed by the IRS. Updates will happen in line with your cycle code (per video). If you are weekly, you may only see significant updates on a weekly basis

Does it mean this tax filer receive $500 refund on 12/15/21?
Was it a positive or negative number? If negative means money to tax payer (refund). Positive means tax liability.

Give it a few days (I assume you recently filed) WMR and transcripts are different systems so can take up to a week to get in Sync.
@@SavingtoInvest I filed and was accepted Jan 20th, I've been seeing this same message for like 3 weeks now. Is that normal? I did claim the EITC though, they say it should be depositing those returns by the 1st but that's literally next Tuesday, you would think it would have given me a date by now or something.. What if the balance is less then the - credits. When added up the credits it is more do you know why???
-ve amount in total means you are getting a refund. That's a good thing. From the IRS POV they owe you money for your tax overpayment

Hello, what does it mean if wmr says processing has been delayed beyond normal time frame..and my transcripts say N/A?
Just means the IRS is delayed in processing your return due to backlogs or some additional verification they are doing. Not much you can do until they provide an update. I did a recent video on this for more details (see main channel page)
