Filed mine on the 29th of January, checked my return and it states I have to verify myself, check my transcripts and it doesn't even show my return at all. Called and was told a letter was generated on the 22nd of Feb, and have to wait 30 days to receive the letter. Once I verify my identity I have to wait 9 weeks to receive a check. WTF Can we sue the government for their nonsense. A class action suit needs to be done.
That would never happen. If it were someone owing money they would lock you up if you didn't pay, but they can not pay those who are getting refunds and not get in any trouble. I heard that the IRS has no money for many returns and is basically doing a lottery-type system for paying returns. I know where the money went, to fund wars no one wants or we should even be part of.

Taking longer than the normal time frame means now they have two apply A credit. Each month they are late. Topic 152 however is possitive. with an apology. Happen to me last year. Then Had two ID me easy and simple. I had A deposit beforee The letter came out, about my credic,,,$. from them being tardy for the party. hope this was helpful and soon Topic 152 turns into 848 sent.

It was accepted..here we are, March 6th still nothing and no specific updates on the where’s my refund tool to let me know why it’s still being “processed” Meanwhile my extended family filed there’s later and they already have their money. But they also didn’t claim the child credit.

I did this with Turbo Tax and received an email from them that they'll be deducting my almost $100 fees from my bank account on 4/5 because I haven't received my return. However, that return is after the fees were taken out...I guess we'll see how this goes.

How do they hire more employees but are having a harder time processing these refunds. Someone i know filed a week ago and got her refund days later. Filed January 18th. IRS accepted return on January 22nd. still has not been approved and refund has not been received. It has been well over 21 business days. This is the first year that I have not received my refund within 10 business days of filing taxes. State taxes also accepted but no funds released.
And I don't believe they have processed as many refunds as they claim they have. I was told by irs that a large percentage of returns are being automatically frozen if its multiple qualifying credits and self employed income. She told me self employed people will be waiting 6 months to hear about their return via a letter. Only w2 income is a priority this year she said.

Guys check your irs .Gov click on the option that says letters and notices and check what they say And then click on verify taxes that might be it you need the control number from the letter the irs sends

I filed 2/5/2024 and still haven't received my Federal...what the heck is going on
Filed on January the 27th and it’s still saying received but haven’t received anything yet so what is the deal with my money
Filed January 19th the sight still just says accepted
I filled March 6 got a date back for the 27th🥰
Accepted 1/29 still waiting with no update since week of 2/20
I filed on the 31st in January and it's still processing
Been accepted since February 3rd it’s March 6th still nothing, not even a letter or nothing …. Can’t even speak to an auction human! Yes I claimed my Kids. It say est receive date will be feb 23… I have the email and text saying everything has been approved , but when I go look my stuff up online it hasn’t even been REVIEWED or ACCEPTED YET it shows…. Hmm 🤔 😤😤 some how my STATE was approved feb 27th and it’s MARCH 6th they sent my state check out already …… super backwards ! Idk what’s going on…

I filed electronically on January 29 and just today got a letter in the mail asking for additional information. The online verification is not working and the phone number is so overloaded it keeps hanging up on me. At this rate, I will never get my return!
Anyone that filed they taxes & it have been longer then 21 days , after u filed your taxes .. U can call the irs & they will let u know why it’s taken so long . & also a lot of ppl have to verify more then usual numbers for this year & also if they are sending u out letter or not .. so call to check before sitting around n waiting on them & if it been 5 weeks since u filed ur taxes they also can send u out a new letter if u didn’t receive it as will so call it may help u in the long run
I tried to call it just takes me to automated voice system no real people

They have NO real person to talk to anymore

I still haven’t gotten mines and have to 570 code and i filed on January 24th
No codes for me, accepted on Feb 3rd, and I am still waiting for it to be processed. Already recieved my state back at the end of February.

Same I filed mine Feb 11. First time in over 15 years it's taking longer than 21 days. Someone I know filed a week ago and got her refund in a couple days. She filed same as I. The child tax credit and the earned income credit.

Code 152 generally means your return needs a further review. Use the Where's My Refund Tool or consider contacting the IRS sometime later for an update if there is a longer delay and you have not received any updated information.

I filed on January 22. I still have not gotten my return back nor has it moved from being received. I would have thought I would have gotten something by now. I have been waiting for a letter saying they are auditing me for some stupid reason. I have always done my own taxes and have never had any issues.

Yup I got the same notice! I filed January 19th it was accepted the same day and still nothing. People who filed after me that I know already got both their refunds smh! Never had issues like this!!!! I swear the irs just likes to fuck with people!
Make sure all income and income withholding and tax credits is correct that’s why its a delay so update it asap

The( Topic) often refered two as Codes can be found in serveral places, infact, On your were is my refund site, where the Acepted bar usually is, The Topic number like 152 in Blue can be clicked on. for Clairty Purposes Your Transcrip can also Be found for free online.

I filed electronically Jan 25th. All it shows it that they received it. Doesn’t even show that they are processing it yet. Somethings off.

Mine doesn't even say accepted, I filed Jan 29th and talked to an agent Feb 29th and said to call back in 4 weeks, mine says N/A transcript shows, processing date said March 4th when I checked in March 2nd 👀
