Current widebody flights at SAN: several a day to Atlanta with Delta (those will shift to narrowbody flights once Delta resumes full trans-Atlantic flights), Hawaiian Airlines A330 to HNL, Japan Air Lines 787 to Tokyo (Narita), and the A350 flights of British Airways and Lufthansa.

It actually could land here! But the problem is, it couldn't taxi...none of the taxiways at SAN can handle the loads imposed by the A380.
