Righting And Towing A Flipped Jeep, Part TWO
Because of a private conversation with our neighbor who came into view AND the driver of the flipped vehicle appearing again, I broke the video into two parts. This is part two, after the righting of the overturned Jeep.
On the later afternoon of September 17, 2024, at one of San Diego's most dangerous intersections, Howard Avenue at Arizona Street, a Jeep was T-boned by a Nissan SUV. The resulting collision was the result of the frequent mistakes drivers make here, assuming that like every other single intersection on Howard Avenue, this is a four-way stop. It is not. And the city refuses to make this one lone intersection a four-way stop, for reasons they will not discuss.
The result is traffic collisions such as this one, which are TOTALLY preventable. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but this dangerous intersection continues to claim vehicles.
A HUGE shout-out to the tow truck driver here, who handled his job with a Starfleet-like efficiency. He went right to work and got the overturned Jeep righted and loaded up in less than twenty minutes. Wind N Sea towing needs to be credited with a fantastic job!

British Airways flight 273 is seen arriving from London Heathrow on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Currently, this flight is operated by an Airbus A350-1000; however, BA has announced that this route will soon be twice daily! It has been more than two years since the last Lufthansa flight from Germany to San Diego, but service has resumed! Today flight 466 is from Munich (instead of Frankfurt), and is an Airbus A350-900, very similar to the plane British Airways now flies into San Diego. The first view is looking south down Sixth Avenue at Juniper Street, and the second is west down Juniper Street itself.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn’t have started it. Oil went everywhere it wasn’t meant to be when it was upside down. Rollover was fantastic tho.
I used to work at Naval Medical Center San Diego (Balboa Hospital) and would see that plane arrive when I walked to my car at the end of the day. It never failed to impress.

We will be sailing in this exact cabin ~ I’m worried about possible noise from the dining room below. Did you experience this at all during your cruise? I’ve also heard talk of these verandahs being deeper on this deck, but it doesn’t appear so from the video ~ or at least from what I can see! Thank you for your help!
We experienced zero noise from the dining room at all times. None whatsoever. That stateroom is very quiet!

Japan Airlines flies the 787 to Tokyo Lufthansa flies the A350 to Munich BA flies the A350 to London UA has 2 daily flights to IAD with a Triple 7, Hawaiian flies the A330 to Honolulu, Eidelweiss used to fly the A340 to Zurich, Delta used to fly 767s to Atlanta but replaced those flights to A321s which is disappointing

No. Once you open that door, you are out in the elements. Covered balconies are on side units only.

It actually could land here! But the problem is, it couldn't taxi...none of the taxiways at SAN can handle the loads imposed by the A380.

Current widebody flights at SAN: several a day to Atlanta with Delta (those will shift to narrowbody flights once Delta resumes full trans-Atlantic flights), Hawaiian Airlines A330 to HNL, Japan Air Lines 787 to Tokyo (Narita), and the A350 flights of British Airways and Lufthansa.
