Don't apologize for the voiceover! It actually made the video seem professionally produced! THANK YOU for showing us the features of your umbrella, Tim!!
Thanks for sharing. Just got mines delivered this weekend which we ordered after seeing your first video so we were worried seeing an update video come out today 😊. Glad you still love it and thanks for posting this update, we feel better about our purchase now!
Got mine last year. What did you fill the umbrella base with? I filled mine with water but had to use a shop vac and a hose to empty it due to freezing temperatures where I live. Like to leave it outside all year. I noticed the plastic base has slots on the inside so I'm concerned about filling it with sand and not being able to.
Thanks for the video. I just saw it in person today and it is $100 off until the end of May. Looks like that $499 price from a few years ago is still the same which is surprising!
Happened upon this same umbrella at the Centerville, OH Costco in May of 2020, and it just happened to be on sale for $499. My only regret is that I didn't buy two of them that day! I have been looking online for a match and you just cannot find them. My only concern is the way it sways in the wind, but everything seems to be fine and we really enjoy it. Thanks for posting your reviews!!
This video helped a lot! We were curious about the lighting, warm vs. cool, glad to know it is more on the warm side. I am concerned regarding the many negative reviews on the crank being made of plastic and breaking easy and poor customer service regarding getting replacement pieces. Guess I'll have to chance it!
after 1 year our crank has become loose (1/4 crack to start moving the umbrella), but it still looks the same the sun hasn't faded the fabric too much. Thanks for the comment :)
Thank you for your video here. I just saw one of these umbrellas at Costco and was wondering about it. I'd like to set it up over our hot tub when the sun is strong here in South Louisiana. One question I have is how easy is it to move around? It doesn't look like it has any wheels.
Great video, plus the one you showed installing. The only thing I still can't see addressed is whether the spot lights and LED strip lights are the same color temperature? In both your videos the spotlight looks a much warmer yellow tone whereas the LED strip lights look a lot whiter. Is that strange when they're both on?
Just picked up one in Ptbo Costco for $750 in store. Delivered online well over $1k, hopefully it does everything it’s advertised…!! Thanks for the review. Nervous about the LED quality and how long they will last , sunbrella fabric will last almost forever!
Based on the instructions you need to fill the base with sand and water. My concern is what I should do in winter? Do I need to take it down? Or it safe to let it outside?
I'll try to explain this, it is second hand so I hope I can. Ok on the underside of the handle use a small screw driver to push the ball in and remove the handle. Use the same screw driver to push the ball in again and remove the black cap from the end of the hexagonal piece that the handle just came off of. Inside of the hexagonal piece there is a phillips screw. Now this is where my dad gets a little foggy. He can't remember if he used a wrench to hold the hexagonal part while he turned the screw inside or not, but he thinks this is what he did to fix the same issue. sorry it took so long to get back to you. Thanks for watching, hope this helps :)
@@MelandTim Thanks for the reply! I took the thing apart in the rain and put it back together when I realized there was some variable I missed. Thank you.
Appreciate your video it was good. I have wanted to see it in the sun I'm concerned they have this at the warehouse and I can look through the fabric and see the lights my concern is if I can see the lights the sun would be horrible letting heat and light come through. Also some of the reviews reflected my concerns What's your thoughts thanks John
We are setting ours up. It says to put sand and WATER in the base. Did you do that with the water? Seems like the water would get yucky. What about using pebbles? Any advise about the base? Thanks.
we just put sand in ours. get a fine grit that is very dry so it will pour in to the whole easier. if you don't put water in then you wont need to worry about freezing temps cracking the base from the water expanding :) thanks for watching
Acabo de comprar esta sombrilla, y al mismo tiempo vi que ocasiona incendios retiraron 4000 de costco, pero me gusta mucho y le quite la celda solar, mi pregunta es si usando el adaptador no pasa nada???
Thank you for this video. Have you any suggestions on an umbrella cover for it? I’ve purchased one but I’d need a ladder to put it on, and being on our deck I’d rather not risk getting on a ladder to do so. I’d really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks
The one we have has long poles sewn right into the cover beside the zipper. The poles are a plastic and about the thickness of a sharpie marker. The poles make it so you can move the cover over the top of the umbrella with out the need of a ladder. If you could find something close in strength and sew them in your self...... I hope this helps :)
Are the joint parts made of metal? The previous umbrella I had was all metal EXCEPT those 2 key areas. Where the umbrella meets the pole in 2 places, both made of plastic and both failure points that eventually gave out.
Hi! Looking at this umbrella (or similar). We are in the midwest and would need to store it during winter months. Is it just easy enough to take apart and store in pieces? Thanks!
ua-cam.com/video/eiqGRMFSC5g/v-deo.html here is a video i made about the take down for the winter. I normally just tuck it away in my garage. Thanks for watching :)
I have the exact same umbrella but my rib lights stopped working, the center light does work and battery pack shows all blue lights on… so you know what the problem might be?
Very useful video! We like to purchase one similar like yours from Costco. Our deck is facing south which is always got windy from S and SW, wondering if this umbrella will handle this kind of weather condition.
Qq for you - did you use sand or just water? I know they say use both, but it seems ok with just water. That being said, I’m concerned bc the gaskets seemed a little iffy and they are on the side of the base tanks.
Do you have a video showing how to replace the canopy? Ours is a La Papillon brand but it was bought at Costco and is very similar (no built in lights) Thanks
we've been looking at this umbrella for this season, looks all good, I'm curious about the weights in the bases. Did you use the suggested sand/water combination? We're in New Brunswick, our garage is unheated, that's where we'll be storing the umbrella off season. I'm concerned about the bases cracking over the winter. Also, I'm not a very big guy, I could handle lugging a 50 or 60 lb base, curious how much each base weighs full of sand/water.
Nice Video! Do you know what colour this is? Is it Tan or Gray? I'm looking at the Square smaller version of this umbrella and would like it to be the same colour as yours! Thx!
Hi, Do you take it down in the winter? Also how does it hold up in a very windy storm, closed of course. Does it ever blow over with the 200 pounds of sand in base. Love your dad's deck ! Thanks!
If I tell my dad that it will go right to his head lol :) When it is closed up we have never had any problems. Its even been ok with a wind stom that knocked down some tree branches. thanks for watching :)

Great !! Thanks for sharing. I bought one yesterday and I needed to see the 360 degree function to make sure it would work in our patio. Thanks again!

Thanks, you too! :)
Based on the instructions you need to fill the base with sand and water. My concern is what I should do in winter? Do I need to take it down? Or it safe to let it outside?
We take ours down and store it inside the garage for the winter. thats why we just ude water so we can drain the tanks.
How did the fabric on the umbrella hold up we assembled ours today was disappointing how thin it was.
Ours is doing great, but we always have the cover on when we are not using it, which helps it last longer i hope
Greetings all. Has anyone had problems with their lights not coming on? And if so any suggestions? We charged the little switches...
I have not had this happen to mine yet. The battery is charged?

Do they make Mount to Mount directly to concrete patio?
I don't know but that would be great if some one did!
These look nice - sadly, in 2024 the Costco Canteliver umbrellas are almost 1000 bucks! wow. Thanks for the review.

we put 50 lbs of sand in each base. No water for the same reason. they are heavy put a team lift or a dolly for sure to move them in the fall.
Thank you for the great video. Costco is all out of stock now that the summer is almost over. What time of year was it in the store? Thanks

Wow that’s a cool piece of kit

Its Tan :)
Do you know of a winter cover for the Costco csntelever 10'square umbrella?
only the 1 that came with it, sorry
do you mind sharing the size of your deck?
12 x 12
What brand is this umbrella? Has it faded?
It has not faded and its a Seasons Sentry, if I remember correctly. :)
Do you have a problem with it swivelling around the center post by itself under light wind? My Costco RST cantilever umbrella does. So annoying.
no ours doesn't do that. it moves side to side a little but not all the way around. thanks for watching :)

how's it holding up 4 years later?! haha
