Elvis gospel is the way to go. 7 weeks later and the Lord took him from us. Singing with his entire body in wretched pain from head to toe he could barely walk and talk. He suffered here from over a dozen critical diseases, including a rare full body inflammatory disease with no cure at the time. He was CLEARLY speaking to his creator here. He knew. This kind of SOUL & PASSION is what has made him truly beloved, and no one and nothing will EVER be able to take away his God crafted gifts that he shared with us. We the fans will ENSURE Elvis' good legacy for millenniums to come.
Nobody can sing like him. His Gospel music is outstanding. He loved the Lord and knew where his talent came from. Wish we could of kept him a little longer.
Elvis knocking audiences dead with EVEN gospel. Did you hear the cheers during and after this performance? There's only ONE thing greater than Elvis and gospel and that's the GOOD LORD himself!!!!!!!
Yes this wasn't long before Elvis, left us it was really hard to see him in that condition, but one thing that never failed Elvis, was that great voice he had and shared with all of us,. Hey guy's I would like to request a song by Steven Wood, called "THANK YOU LORD" a great song give it a listen think you will enjoy it.
Elvis loved the Lord. He loved his fans and didn't want to disappoint and gave it his all even thought he was in agony. He never gave up. Sang his heart to the end.
Loved Elvis's music but his gospel music is his best work by far you can feel the love and passion in his gospel music. When people would come back stage after concerts and wanted to hear him sing he would ONLY sing gospel music. He told them if they wanted to hear his hits go to a concert but back stage he sang what he wanted to share with everyone.
For being in bad health as he was he gave a banging performance!! Unfortunately he passed away 6 weeks later. I seen him in 1976 a year before this concert.
I think you are right...he is singing directly to God...he seemed to have had a strong desire to sing at this depth to help others reach God and through is voice...amazing...
The man died a few weeks later. I am getting ready to turn 50. Spending my last weeks on my 40's. Besides this point, wont ever be nobody too bust these notes!!!
Elvis sang gospel at every live show. He won Grammy awards for his Gospel Albums. The bass singer (JD Sumner) with this group (The Stamps Quartet) knew Elvis since he was a teenager & attended JD’s shows with the Blackwood Brothers Quartet. Elvis hired him once he became famous. Please react to the early Blackwoods Brothers videos from 1951. Elvis later recorded the same songs. You can tell how much they influenced him. This is old-time Southern Gospel.
I love when one time a lady told Elvis, your the King, and Elvis answered "No darling I'm not a king Christ Jesus is the King, I'm just an entertainer......🙏🙏🙏🙏
He, and other great singers did NOT have or NEED any Assistance like many do Today....Just pure Talent! In addition, ( As Already Mentioned) he was very Sickly and would pass away only weeks after!!
New subscriber here. Great reaction. Elvis was not well at this time of his life but he could still belt it out like no one else. His gospel music is the most inspiring to me. I saw him in concert a couple of years before he passed. I'll never forget that concert. RIP Elvis.
-------------also what makes this so good are his male Gospel Quartet singers, the Stamps Quartet. Elvis voice toward the end of his life (this last show) seemed to experience a deeper sound and the most power he ever had in his voice, even though he was ill. Like a gift from God before he left.
Great review of Elvis! Keep up the great work guys. If you want to hear a note from him that matches, if not betters this performance, watch 'What Now My Love' from the 'Aloha Hawaii rehearsal show'! Legend of a singer.
He had aged terribly by the time of this concert and was unwell with addiction and obesety but the Lord lifted him up and he was a powerhouse on the night... Gotta say his backing vocalists were off the scale good and world class
Hi there, I beg to differ! That's not soul, that's the Holy Spirit anointing his voice and music, because he honoured God. He never mocked God like so many singers and rappers do! You can see he's singing from his heart unto the Lord! In the middle of a concert, he chooses to honour His Creator. This man was truly unique and blessed by the Lord. He died 8 weeks after this concert. ❤🙏👍🇿🇦
Elvis won more awards for his gospel singing than any of his other music! He sang for his Mom especially, he loved deeply. He totally loved to sing gospel, which he learned as a young boy growing up very poor in Tupelo Mississippi, he used to spend much of his time in black gospel churches. He never forgot the love & kindness given to him & his Mom from the black communities & churches. Elvis truly loved his Lord and was not grandstanding.
You've got a new subscriber here from southwest Tennessee (Elvis Country). I love how the two of you are using your platform to tell people about Jesus Christ. Elvis loved sharing the good news of Jesus, through his Gospel music. I'm glad I came across your channel, and am happy that I've found another Brother and Sister in Christ. God bless the both of you!
This is Elvis at his sickest. He was overweight, bloated, and on the brink of dying from drug addiction and heart and intestinal issues. I hope you will find an earlier version of his singing this song. He was trying his hardest here but was just too far gone to be at his best.
The swede Carl Boberg, former member of Swedish Parliament and a preacher, wrote the text after witnessing a thunderstorm at Oknö by Kalmarsund. The music is an edited Swedish folk melody. This song was first printed in Mönsterås-Newspaper on 13 March 1886.
Just want you to know that young people like the two of you make me feel better about the world I will be leaving behind for my children/grandchildren. I would love seeing you react to "He Lives", by David Phelps. I believe you would be moved.
He used to make his group stay around the piano & sing Gospel after his performance in Vegas ! 😢 Elvis wanted to serve God & sing Gospel ; but his manager ( the Coronel ) owned him & threatened him when he wanted to leave it all ! Elvis sat on the Fence when it came to God, not knowing the Devil owns the Fence .😮 You must be hot or cold it says in Revelation ! Not Lukewarm 😢 So Sad 💔
He was so sick here and it isn’t his best version. Elvis recorded more than 220 Gospel songs because Gospel gave him his love of music. It was his first love along with the Lord.

August 16,1977✝😔
I was at Elvis last concert
He 100% hit that high note. He had one of the most impressive vocal ranges ever in music.
Elvis only won three Grammys throughout his entire career. All three were for his gospel music.
He gave his absolute best when giving glory to God.
Make no mistake this man was the coolest man ever even in person he made people melt.. god has him.now
..
He sure did hit the high note. He and Charlie.
They'll never ever be another singer like him never he touches your heart your soul they'll never be another Elvis Presley
Nobody can sing like him. His Gospel music is outstanding. He loved the Lord and knew where his talent came from. Wish we could of kept him a little longer.

Bridge over troubled water by Elvis, it's one you got to hear...
Makes me cry every single time.
I miss his spirit and how gods presence was in him
Elvis Gospel takes me to church every time!!❤️🙏
Elvis about 6 weeks before he died. Being closer to God than ever before in his marvelous career. Simply astounding.
Awesome man with a great voice.
Elvis loved the Lord. He loved his fans and didn't want to disappoint and gave it his all even thought he was in agony. He never gave up. Sang his heart to the end.
I love the 72 version by elvis.
Of course it's easy to choose the right one
Crying in the Chapel by Elvis is a great gospel song
The King worships the King of Kings Awesome
Wonderful song
J.D. Sumner with the Super Duper Extra Low Bass Note at the end>
Love Elvis Presley voice
Elvis is always the best and his gospel songs are so beautiful
Elvis….The Best
This is my favorite rendition of this song! He gave it His All!!!!😢❤😊
fantastique la bombe du siécle 💥💥💥👋👋👋👍👍🙏🙏"
اعظم فنان على مر العصور لم ولن يتكرر الملك بدون منازع

Elvis had an 8 octave range!
The high note is Kathy Westmoreland the suprano. Amazing voice too.
6 weeks after this concert which was June 1977; he joined the Lord. RIP!!
For being in bad health as he was he gave a banging performance!! Unfortunately he passed away 6 weeks later. I seen him in 1976 a year before this concert.
Praise God
I hope by this time, you have gone back and listened to him sing this when he was not ill. He kills it!!!
Get well soon sweet lady❤
Oh wow what a powerful voice! And it sounded like His quire sent him straight to jesus on this one😮❤

Elvis is singing directly to God. Notice the Holy Ghost shiver
I think you are right...he is singing directly to God...he seemed to have had a strong desire to sing at this depth to help others reach God and through is voice...amazing...

That was his last concert before he died at the age of 42. So sad.
I love when one time a lady told Elvis, your the King, and Elvis answered "No darling I'm not a king Christ Jesus is the King, I'm just an entertainer......🙏🙏🙏🙏
Every time I hear this song, it is always the first time.
Never be another. Another man, another time. Live and share your gifts to others.
Elvis won 3 Grammys and all were for his gospel albums. More Elvis gospel please. "Milky White Way" is a most.
Elvis could have been an opera singer, if you listen to some of his warm up sessions….he had an amazing operatic range, if he had gone down that road.
Good rection praise God.
"Oh how great I think you are oh Lord, how great Thou art."
He, and other great singers did NOT have or NEED any Assistance like many do Today....Just pure Talent! In addition, ( As Already Mentioned) he was very Sickly and would pass away only weeks after!!

Magical ❤ Love Elvis
Believe it or not, the only Grammy Awards ELVIS won were for Gospel.
Elvis died shortly after this ,his voice never failed .He looked so bad here it is truly sad.
-------------also what makes this so good are his male Gospel Quartet singers, the Stamps Quartet. Elvis voice toward the end of his life (this last show) seemed to experience a deeper sound and the most power he ever had in his voice, even though he was ill. Like a gift from God before he left.
Fun Fact. Whitney Houston's mother Cissy was one of his background singers
Great review of Elvis! Keep up the great work guys. If you want to hear a note from him that matches, if not betters this performance, watch 'What Now My Love' from the 'Aloha Hawaii rehearsal show'! Legend of a singer.
To me this is better than the 72 version. He fully took the reins in this one ❤ He didn't stand back for His Choir. He gave it All!!!😮
His voice is obviously stronger in 77!
The greatest performer only he can share the gospel of Jesus Christ during a sold out concert ❤️🙏🏼
He had aged terribly by the time of this concert and was unwell with addiction and obesety but the Lord lifted him up and he was a powerhouse on the night... Gotta say his backing vocalists were off the scale good and world class
Amazing reaction. Love it. The KING. Please try American Trilogy. Thanks 💕💕💕💕

Youshouldhave picked one of his other performances years earlier before he was near the end of his life. Pretty easy to see the difference.
He used to make his group stay around the piano & sing Gospel after his performance in Vegas ! 😢 Elvis wanted to serve God & sing Gospel ; but his manager ( the Coronel ) owned him & threatened him when he wanted to leave it all !
