This is proof of why Elvis was the best vocalist the good Lord ever gave us.
Elvis did God's will using his talents, I believe. He did say to build the kingdom of God early in his career.
Sin gets in the way, but we still serve him faithfully.
I'm an atheist, and I listen to this song on repeat! I am just AWED by his voice, his presence, his sexiness, his ELVIS-NESS.
It says in the Bible that faith is a choice and not forced, but for those who do choose belief there’s nothing like the power of assurance of gods higher being ❤
The 1977 version before his death is rated as the greatest gospel life song ever. This man loved God and made no secret about it.
No autotune or computers. REAL HARMONY
❤️❤️❤️🤗real music!
Have to love how wonderful of a musician he was! @QueenBReacts
It was said that a group of fans held up a sign referring to Elvis as the king. He asked them to take it down…God was the only King!
Elvis simply transformed when he sang gospel songs, the music came from deep within his soul.
Beautiful!
❤️❤️❤️🥰
This comes from the SOUL, from the GUT.
I absolutely love Elvis gospel music most of all. Hair stands on my neck each and every time. This is in the middle of a rock concert, Elvis goes to church and millions go along with him!
Elvis won three Grammy,s for this song over three decades for singing it in three different way,s, that,s my boy.
His first Grammy was for the Album "How Great Thou Art", in 1967, his second Grammy was for the Album "He Touched Me" in 1972, and his third Grammy was for his live performance of "How Great Thou Art" in 1974
The real Elvis ... singing to his God ... love this man !!
We heard the voice of God thru Elvis.
He was a messenger….
My Mom loved his gospel songs. She played them while she drove. Love him, love, love, love my Mom!
I definitely remember the day Elvis Presley died. I was only a few miles from Memphis, you couldn't get into or out of Memphis. I was and always will be a great Elvis fan. Rest in Peace Elvis
Elvis was raised on gospel and was very spiritual.
Amazing elvis only grammys were for Gospel
When Elvs was so hot in the 50's they were saying he can sing a little bit but he has never sang anything that really showed he could sing. When he put this song out they all bowed to Elvis. They finally agreed this man can sing....R.I.P Elvis 💕👑💕
And then he won a GRAMMY for it🏆
He could indeed sing🥰
He CAN sing I believe😇
I love this thank you Elvis ❤❤❤❤❤
That “low register”, belonging to one his back up singers, the Jordanairs, held the world record for deepest bass in the world.💜
No one and I mean no one sings that song better than Elvis Presley! The backing vocals are amazing… Off the chart amazing and complement Elvis‘s voice perfectly.
That is so true!
the only one that comes close is Carrie Underwood.......
Exactly Elvis Presley is one of the most amazing singers that ever lived
Plus he always went first class with his bands, and back up singers.
Nobody on earth sings this song like Elvis!!!
ELVIS - greatest gospel album, never disappoints
His voice is BUTTER and immediately hits your Soul like a lightning bolt from Heaven.
You explained that perfectly!!!
Elvis certainly puts you in your feelings! The Rock n Roll and gospel King!!!
His last concert in 1977 he sang this and so soulfully, he nearly took the roof off.
Well worth your time to react to. Keep up the good work. 😊
💔🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
This is why Elvis is King 👑👑👑
Only Elvis, the King of Rock n Roll can sing praise like that to the King of the world.❤❤❤❤❤
He was the BEST !!!!!! Always will be !!!
Agree!!!🤗🤗🤗
My sister's and I played this song from a CD at my Father's funeral. It was perfect.
❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
My moms too❤
The Holy Spirit is always in Elvis when he sings Gospel cause Jesus knows where his heart truly is, with Our Father. Amen
I agree with above comment just sends chills all over. If this doesn't bring tears nothing will. Love you Elvis. REST IN PEACE. Your memory is instilled in all of us❤❤❤❤
This song you can feel in your soul 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Just listening brings tears to my eyes and an overwhelming feeling of joy in my heart. Elvis was real and, yes, he truly loved his band, his singers and all his people. Thank you for reacting to it. We knew you would feel it and that you would love it too. God bless you.🙏
I always hoped for someone to end this wonderful song with enough strength!
I love the "you not finna leave me like that Elvis. " Best reaction ever to this song!
Soul stirring! Elvis loved the father! it's in his voice!
I love you Elvis there are no words to describe your magnificent talent and God gave us his magical charisma Elvis the only entertainer who ever performed gospel in his concerts God gave him his gift and he was always so thankful and happy to share with the whole 🌎 there is no one like Elvis or will be again Thank you Elvis for giving all these treasures you left behind you are still giving 😎🎯💯🌎❤️
El mejor himno que podia cantar Elvis a dios
Gift from GOD his voice great raw talent
there is not a day that goes by that i don't think of him and all the memories we made in 10 short years, his death knocked the wind out of me i have never been the same since, Elvis was the big brother i never had. He is also my guardian angel. Graceland is my go to place when it get's to hard to live w/o my friend i go there and walk around and remember Elvis and all the beautiful times we had together. He was the only person in my life that understood me and i understood him we cared about each other faults and all. What it comes down to is we both needed a friend and we were that for each other. Awesome reaction. God bless you and your family from the one and only Memphis Tn. #forevermyking #forevermysexyjello
I get goose 🦆 bumps every time his vocals cords get higher and higher
👏👏👏👏👏👏bravooo hermosa voz de mi elvis
This is my favorite I've been listening to his gospel since I was 7 with my grandma. She said he was put here to sing gospel not that Ole movie mess! When he sings gospel it hits your soul. Glory to God
By the way, you should listen to Way down, Way on Down if you want hear how low the baritone can go! And see T.J. perform it, I think they are his initials, brought out in the 70's I believe. I loved all the backup singers, especially the black ladies. Gospel was what he sang after leaving the stage, it was how he calmed his a soul. Evis grew up attending Baptist Churches each Sunday with his mum and that was where he learnt about real singing. He was born in 1935, so her grew up during segregation and I believe, he was "Heaven" sent because he respected all people and healed the divide between black and white. This song usually brings tears tomy eyes each time I hear Elvis sing it. Probably because I know he was a troubled soul losing his twin at birth and his mum at 42 while he was in Germany doing his Military Service. Then his seperation and divorce from his wife compounded his heartaches. But he always poured his heart and soul into his music and performances. Rest in peace.
That bass is J D Sumner. Presley hired Sumner & The Stamps as his back-up singers in 1971. The group toured and recorded with Presley from November 1971 until Presley's death in 1977. Sumner not only sang at Elvis' funeral but had previously sung at the funeral of Elvis' mother Gladys in 1958.
Love that song especially when Elvis sings it, in the 1977 song when he sings How great thou art, he sings How great I think you are o Lord....just beutiful...Singing to God the Creator...
Oh, such a beautiful voice! It always makes me cry when I hear him sing this
He is the KING !!!!
Yes he is!!!!❤️🥰
His song why me lord will make you cry. It hits your soul
This song always makes my soul soar but Elvis version i hear the praise and thankfulness and off we go!
🤗❤️
He knew how to own a gospel/spiritual that He learned that at his mama's knee. He learned it well. I bought his album of gospel spirituals and I cry every song that played.
Love your reaction ♥️ Elvis and all his singers are 👍. This brings chills. Unbelievable ☺️
Cold chills all up and down my body!♥️♥️♥️
That bass voice at 3:40 was something, wasn't it! The whole song was just beautiful. #Chills 💕
JD Sumner!!
I love you Queen for playing that!!!!
Right back at you!❤️🤗🥰
And the way he was obviously praying right at the beginning!
That performance would makes you want to walk up the aisle on Sunday morning
Elvis was the king of rock n roll and never won a Grammy for it. But he won a Grammy for this song and gospel album. I'm sure the Grammy for gospel meant more.
❤️❤️❤️🤗
@Let Your L⚡️GHT Forever Shine ❤️ elvis didn't have to write a song.when he sang a son he made it his own.he was unique. He had the whole package. Actor singer.he sang.6 different kinds of music. Not to take away anything from all the others.
Actually Elvis didn't like being called King. To him there is only one King and that's Jesus
I still miss him.
He was so wonderful.
His backing vocals were 2 of gospel music great groups. The sweet inspiration
And JD Sumner and the stamps quartet. JD was in the Guinness book of records as the world's lowest bass singer !!
❤love his Gospel singing
Acclimation : our words through unmerited grace in HIS presence.
Affirmation: our humble, unselfish immediate soul/spirit reaction--- on our knees OR prone in HIS majestic presence in a timeless environment.
ELVIS sings this song sooo good, a swedish song from 1886..."O STORE GUD".
Excellent Commentary to the most fabulous Words ever Whitten. To have a great Song, the timing has to be Perfect. This sound shattered every Musical ever Written. Thanks for Sharing this Spiritual splendor.
Elvis loved his gospel music. After many performances they would gather around a piano and sing gospel music all night. The bass singer you heard was J.D. Sumner and the Stamps Quartet. GREAT REACTION SISTER-GOD BLESS YOU.
I don't know if anyone else has mentioned that we lost J.D. Sumner several years ago back in 1998. In his sunset years he appeared on Bill Gaither's Homecoming video and audio series back in the 90s. If I'm not mistaken Bill and the gang did a tribute to J.D.. He could sure hit those super deep notes. I know both he and The Jordanaires enjoyed the years they sang, appeared and performed with Elvis. So many of these amazing singers are no longer with us but have graduated to heaven.
Great reaction! He did do it all!! His Rehearsals are awesome! Words with Sweet Inspirations, Oh Happy Day & I Just Can't Help Believing. Thanks
I wish I could tell you the stories of Elvis! I grew up listening to him and hearing about him and his music!
That very deep voice your hearing is J.D.Sumner, they say Elvis just loved his deep register. He did sound so amazing.. Two of my all time favorites are "american trilogy" and "take my hand precious lord" both also have J.D.Sumber in the background as well. His gospel music is so amazing, all of his music is just so beautiful.
The bass of The Jordanaires was J.D. Sumner. He is in, or maybe was by now, the Guinness World Book of Records for the lowest bass note by a human being.
The only grammys Elvis won were for Gospel including this song. He should have won more, needless to say, but gospel was definitely one of his MANY strengths.
Thank you for playing Elvis Presley 🙏🙏👍👍 he is so good
Elvis to us to Church!
Yes he did!
I've loved Elvis since I was 2 years old! Running to see/hear him on TV was one if my 1st memories! My daughter (7) followed in my footsteps & fell in love when she was 2 also...when she couldn't stop listening while I cleaned the house with his music on! 🥰❤
Try "Peace in the Valley" he's younger and it's different but beautiful 🙏
I have never thought this way, but I we will get to meet him someday
Absolutely magnificent 🙏the brilliant ELVIS Presley
Just amazingly beautiful
My favorite rendition of the song by him what's the one he did in his last concert it was so powerful it brought me to tears. I wish you would do a reaction to that version in 1977 you would love and so would we
I like your reaktion to Elvis Musik, the way you feel it. Greetings from a big Elvis Fan from germany. Best wishes
This was a former gospel group called the Jordons. They back him his whole life
Please also listen to his June 1977 performance where be plays the piano. It was only two months before he died and it was his last time to sing it. You could tell he was very ill....but I believe that was when God took over, because it was the most powerful version out of all the rest. His voice never failed him up to the very end. We love and miss you dear sweet Elvis, but we know you are finally able to sing your hymns, which was your greatest passion and joy....praising our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ....❤🙏⚡
❤️❤️❤️
Magnificent, that,s my boy.
🥰I am lovin' THIS!😇 I'm gonna let my son know I found another Elvis fan!!! 👍 *sometimes we hear this comin' from his room, lol, they jammin tho!!!" I'm sendin' him this vid!!❤
Hey Momma❗️👋🏽😘
Now that's what I call a great reaction. You felt it and showed it. It gets me everytime he sings Gospel. He puts everything he has in it and you can tell by the look on his face, he was right back in church as a kid shouting it out to Heaven. God bless you.❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Elvis is still alive under witness protection. He's a minister in Arkansas named Bob Joyce.
He worked for the DEA under Nixon. Long story I
My man Elvis and his gospel is the best
Yessss!!!❤️🤗
That low note is what Elvis is smiling about... He loved it.. I love your reactions to him..
Thank you!❤️❤️❤️
loved his guy with the super deep voice
It just gives you Goosebumps!🙏
Mansa Queens dinner an Queen Berry music . . . Perfect evening 👏🏾
Yes God is GREAT 🙏♥️
He is singing directly to God.
h
Thanks for bringing this amazing song back to life. Capturing the spirit, brings many Wonders to the Soul. Fantastic Commentary and capturing the greatness of Words, that often, the Power gets lost with forgetfulness in interrupted Clear thinking. Incredible thoughts, that turn into Spiritual Healings.
❤❤❤ he was the best ……… how he sings to The Lord !!! ❤❤❤
I could watch you react to this song over and over because it effected you just like it did me!!!! Elvis and The Stamps knocked it out the park on this song!!!
That bass is J.D. Sumner who was listed as the WORLD'S LOWEST BASS in the Guiness World Book of Records. He was with Elvis for several years with his own group that were singing here, the famous Stamps Quartet. He had song with the Blackwood Brothers Quartet and the Masters Five as well. Look him up and do a reaction on him!!
That bass singer is Richard Sturban, bass singer for the Oak Ridge Boys
If you love harmony, check out Home Free & Pentatonix.....LOVE Elvis!!!
When music was actually music.
Tell it baby. That super deep voice is JD Sumner. If you get a chance, watch the documentary Elvis - That's The Way It Is. You won't be sorry, I promise you.
Both of his gospel albums won him Grammy awards !!!
One of my favorite gospels.
Omg yes he was definitely a beast in Gospel as well as everything else! But Gospel wow!🥰🙏🏾😍❤️😍
Fantastic reaction! If you like gospel music, you're in for a treat with Elvis. Could you react to him singing "Only Believe"?
Will do!!!❤️❤️❤️
@@QueenBReacts I discovered this is the best version: Elvis Presley - Only Believe (Lyrics) (2:48).
That low voice is J.D. Sumner. He used to make fun of elvis when elvis tried to sing bass. Lol. He was in Guinness book for lowest note.
