Those ruffles remind me. When I was young I had a favorite outfit for the big night out. It was a black skirt that was slim around the hip but then flared out into a double row of wide ruffle. The length was not too many inches above the knee because a twirl or a breeze would defeat modesty. The top was my pride and joy black leather jacket, not biker at all but very chic. It was a butter soft and thin garment leather. It had a smooth wrap front which extended into deep batwing sleeves that tapered to the wrist. There were no lapels but a fairly deep peplum that hugged the upper hip and dipped lower in the back. The front and back panels were shaped to form the illusion of raised collar at the neckline. The jacket draped softly across the shoulders and bust, but fit snug at the waist and I often wore a 5 inch wide belt to cinch it even tighter. I look far too old for it now, but in those days I was a six foot blonde with a long waist and good legs. Sweet memories and no regrets.
Can't wait for a new sleeve video! I love these runway videos- you do all the hard work for us and edit the shows down to just the highlights! Thank you!
Girl, the best part of these videos is hearing your responses to the different pieces. You exude so much joy watching these shows. Makes me not feel so weird by being excited over fashion. Looking for the right things in my wardrobe to make that last dress with the ruffle on the bottom that you made recently. Love it with the Docs!!
I love the mens fabric and leather belts and shoulder straps. Also the men’s suit that was turned into shorts and a jacket with with logo on the side. Stunning
Yes yes yes! Please make a video showing how to use our African fabrics in recycling with our thrifted fabrics. Great presentation and editing of the Runway show.
These are my fave videos of yours, and I wait for them all year. Yes, I love the upcycling, but you telling us what we CAN do and Will do with you from these fashion shows is everything. And your comments are spot on.
I love your curation of runway shows and the connections you draw between what we see and what we can make. I'm loving the inspo and looking forward to the new videos that will come from it! The sleeves... and I love the idea that they can be worn different ways!
This was fantastic!!! Girl let's get it with the SLEEVES!! I am here for the all of them - open, billow, hardware..... I know you will look out for the No-Sew Crew! :) I appreciate all you do. Can't wait to see more.
I have to wonder sometimes if designers set out to make models look ridiculous. I mean, who actually goes out in public wearing some of these get ups?? Thank goodness for channels like this that bring these fashions back down to earth.
I hope you do a sew along with me- sleeve edition. I appreciate your take on those fashion shows. Glad to be subscribed, you truly inspired me to action.
This was so so so so good! I am excited about the projects that are coming - can't wait to see more sleeves, the corsets, more ruffles - okay, EVERYTHING, LOL! Thank you for taking the time to do this!
Omg! The side belt n the piping with ties...you gotta put that out there! The ruffles added to a simple shirt, the big pocket dress, any fall inspired styling would be wonderful. I have to watch this again...sensory & idea overload.
Thanks for sharing these shows, they are really inspiring. I don't upcycle much but I do sew do a bit of designing being looking for inspiration, these just did that for me. Always love coming here to get inspired. Can't wait to see what you will upcycle next😃
Morning thanks for sharing the glimpse into the high fashion shows I love it and would rock a lot of those styles but here where I live most of the styles wouldn't fly (small town)
You're so creative! Would love to see the the sleeve video also!! Love the idea of embellishing clothes, redesigned jeans, and blazer belt. None of my business, but I see you in a warm red lip.
I dont personally follow trends but its fun to see this kind of compilation and also fun that a lot of my go to-pieces are on trend :) And I was trying to find a mutton chop sleeved knit just yesterday! I really love the loooong tight look around the wrists and big balloon on the shoulder.

I actually did noticed the 2 different shoes right away but I am hyper aware! I tend to notice everything and I have an eye for details it's kind of my thing!
There are some interesting designs out. The lace one, the one with the lace on the sleeve. Kind of reminds me of the off with your head Queen's dress in Alice wonderland.
Omg I just found your channel and I love it. I just said I was going to get back into sewing and being more fashionable. Mom brain/body had me feeling not so great. Your channel just brightened my day. Thank you

Love this video. That button sleeve is everything. This winter I can definitely see myself wearing a turtleneck sweater with a flowy blouse with open sleeves on top. So easy to make, but also really classy and work appropiate. Also I have this fur head band so YES I will definitely button a leather strap to it so I can also use it as a bag-strap or simply wear it around my body.
I would love to see how you made that over the should fur bag. I have several fur collars that I would love to made into a bag thanks, I’m so excited to see the new. Up cycle items
I am a big fan of Zimmerman runway because whatever the season they send down some frilliness, flouncy and great treatment to their garments (everything I wanted in my dream dresses in during childhood). They are like tea party ready. I've always love embellishments if done right and have my old broaches and always looking for interesting ones while thirfting because they also good for making alteration on garments for a temporary change of look. Great examples provided for this Fall looks and it a yeap from me for it all. I watch the Thome Browne virtual runway and yeah it was a little Toyland mode but there was something I did like and that basically the tailoring was off the chart. The Fendi runway that had the side weskit pocket apron was a hit with me, because I saw this runway and as soon as I saw the belted waist side pocket apron, I was like Angelina going to go crazy when she sees this because is an adaption of something you have done with another twist. I am so excited to see what you do with the inspiration seen here. I have some Fall color fur boa and will be pulling these out for sure this colder season and see what I can do with it. And also, I was looking at some of my clothing that had leather look edging that had peeled away and was wondering how to fix it, there some possible ideas here on the contrast edging/contrast stitching portion. This is the one I would like to see first but I had mentioned this last time but don't recall seeing a video on this, so contrast stitching and edging is my number 1 thing I would like to see from you. You and your costume changes were really cute, and you look great Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.
Please, please, please, do the video on how to open up the sleeve for a no sew, soon! And what if you have a really pretty blouse but with straighter sleeves? Could you cut it open at the seem add lace to each side, insert lace on the top or outside of the sleeve, to add volume and get that fuller sleeve look? Loved this.
