Yesterday I realized how much your videos have influenced my sewing for the better. I think it's watching you make mistakes, fixing them, and keep going to finish your projects is key. In the past, when something wasn't going as expected I would get discouraged, give up and throw the project out. The Frankensteining concept has brought about better results in my sewing, simply because doing more sewing is how one get's better. More importantly, it's changed my attitude. I now put the project aside and ask for feedback from others. Resting my brain/body and being inspired by others gives me new energy to finish. You're are very inspiring. Thank you!

I LOVE your ideas. I am a fat apple (size 18) and had so much trouble finding clothes in my size that flattered me. Thanks for giving me the incentive to make my own clothes special. I can now have unique, artful clothing that not only fits, but fits my style at bargain prices. (My momma was a tailor and taught me how to sew) I LOVE having unique pieces that make me feel special.

heyyy that belt sewn to blazer bottom... hit me... I have mens trousers far too big but adore them... I will try the big sewn on belt trick!! will cut off the entire waistband to take out a lot of mass... alter here and there... finish edge and attach a bling belt!! you inspired me!!!
Your mix and match jogger pants are brilliant! I use a wheelchair and was finding jeans super uncomfortable. Combining jogger/sweatpant 'body' and jeans 'legs' is a game changer for me, and depending on where the join is made, no one is any the wiser that they aren't just jeans. So much more comfortable when sitting in my wheelchair.
I nearly failed sewing class in high school and now I’m bummed 35 years later..😂You are gorgeous and your passion, creativity, and enthusiasm shine through. Thank you. You are a gift!
Definitely keep trying and it will begin to look more intentional. One rule of thumb for me is to make sure I’m mixing two quality fabrics. The good thing about thrifting is that the quality fabrics aren’t typical more expensive. T-shirts are typically the same prices, but there’s definitely cheap thin ones and the thicker 100% cotton ones.
You were suggested by you tube and I do not regret it! Your flips are unlike any I have seen! My favs were the flannel shirts turned into a maxi skirt with pockets and the men's shirt + hoodie becoming a dress. I feel very inspired!

I have been an artist and a graphic designer the majority of my life but I never got into clothes. I mainly wore what was required of me in the business place but never got really creative. I love your video because it opens a doorway for me to create things that are not only beautiful but things I can recycle! I was broken into in June 2022 and they got the majority of my good clothes along with the majority of my coats. I found myself really depressed and angry about the whole thing but then I realized maybe this is a opportunity to get myself moving and make my own reality in my clothes! Thank you for letting me see that that you can take recycle clothes from salvation army or whatever and turn them into something better. I'm going shopping!

Where have you been all my life? Instant subbie! I gave up on my dream of fashion design at a young age when I couldn’t get into FIDM because of evil stepmom 😂 At almost 43 I am inspired to get back to my first love. I remember in high school for a project I cut and mixed a linen suit with some denim. For the top I took the front part of the linen blazer and the back of a denim jacket. I took the sleeves off the blazer and used it for the bottoms. For the bottoms, I cut off the denim jeans into shorts and attached the linen pant legs to the denim shorts. I cut panel from the extra linen fabric so there were vents in pants and used the linen sleeves as a belt. I was proud of myself and my teacher wrote in my yearbook that she couldn’t wait to see my collection on the runway. Heavy sigh! Nevertheless, you have inspired me.

I want to get some clothes to flip, but sometimes it is so hard to find nice clothes to do it with. I am a plus size 22 and we only found one great place to find them at. They closed that store due to staffing issues with covid and all. I want to do the white shirt and puffy sleeves with an awesome blazer!
It's almost impossible in my town too. I've tried thred up and poshmark, but the prices aren't the same. The fit and the quality are always a gamble online and I hate that it has to be shipped. There's just not a good solution.
That stinks! Are you looking in the men’s section? If they still don’t have good quality menswear try asking around to people to see if they have any clothes they want to get rid of. Once people found out I could remake them, they always offer because they just want to get rid of it.
Love your videos. I have 3 bags of clothes that are too big or too small or just don't fit me in ways I would like. They were destined to the consignment shop or Goodwill, but now I will go back through them and see what I can "Frankenstein "!

I so love your channel. But, I just don't think everything on the runway looks good. But again you can get some good ideas from watching The runway shows. Thank you so much for bringing this types of information to us out here who have no idea what's going on in the fashion industry. When you first showed a runway show and I watched it, I was shocked. Half of the designs looked like somebody put a bunch of clothes into a barrel shook it up and threw it out LOL. Keep up the good work. I know I love watching you turn things into something that I was ready to throw out. You have turned these things into beautiful items that would cost so much money in the stores. When I watch you work, my eyes are just glued to the screen because I can't believe it. I want to get some clothes to flip, but sometimes it is so hard to find nice clothes to do it with. I am a plus size 22 and we only found one great place to find them at. They closed that store due to staffing issues with covid and all. I want to do the white shirt and puffy sleeves with an awesome blazer!
It's almost impossible in my town too. I've tried thred up and poshmark, but the prices aren't the same. The fit and the quality are always a gamble online and I hate that it has to be shipped. There's just not a good solution.
That stinks! Are you looking in the men’s section? If they still don’t have good quality menswear try asking around to people to see if they have any clothes they want to get rid of. Once people found out I could remake them, they always offer because they just want to get rid of it.

I so love your channel. But, I just don't think everything on the runway looks good. But again you can get some good ideas from watching The runway shows. Thank you so much for bringing this types of information to us out here who have no idea what's going on in the fashion industry. When you first showed a runway show and I watched it, I was shocked. Half of the designs looked like somebody put a bunch of clothes into a barrel shook it up and threw it out LOL. Keep up the good work. I know I love watching you turn things into something that I was ready to throw out. You have turned these things into beautiful items that would cost so much money in the stores. When I watch you work, my eyes are just glued to the screen because I can't believe it. I have become so inspired so continue to do what you do I know that I am not the only one who was inspired by you. All I can say is
