It’s such a joy to travel and explore with a camera. This video is exactly the format that inspired me to do landscape photography and start a channel sharing the joy and meaning of it. Nicely done Wex and Tom.
Nice one TH....Just getting out and sharing those magic moments with nature can as we know do wonders for your mental health and personal well-being... Photography a tool to help you achieve inner peace...kind regards and great job as always...JC...
Thank you Wex. Thomas Heaton is such an amazing photographer, videographer, storyteller & all round nice guy. This is a great vlog of winter time in Zion National Park.
Hello Thomas and well done again, what a beautiful image of that tree you captured @ 6.45 into your Vlog. Not only are you a super vlogger but a smashing photographer. What an image to be very proud of ...
Thomas Heaton is my favorite landscape photographer on UA-cam, he always make a great videos and give valuable information's of landscape photography, i think you should send him again to an other location.
Gidday Thomas, You were so close to Bryce Canyon, amazing there... when i went to Zion several years ago it was gloomy and overcast when i arrived... Set up camp awoke in the morning with 2 inches of snow on my tent lol. But what a difference a day can make? Made a cuppa tea, off I went exploring. good times. keep up the good videos Mate. ;-) Next time you come across the pond check out the East side of Utah, Canyonlands, Moab, Arches National Park, Mt.La Sal just to name a few places. Mind blowing, like zero light pollution for night scapes as well. Awesome Videos, cheers Wes
Those intimate landscape work even better because we are taken on this trip with Thomas, Ben or other landscape photographers and we can see the greater image also.
Wex, you could consider a commission to Greenland as Im sure Thomas would love to get the chance to go there. Two great episodes and hope there are more in the future
Hello Thomas, again, regarding your (cable release), may I suggest that you attach a large postman's rubber band to the cable, then attach the large loop around the base of your camera. By doing so, this will stop your cable release becoming loose, lost or broken. Best regards, Allan...
Thomas I love your photography and you are extremely talented but I have to disagree with being satisfied with one good image. I went to the Grand Canyon 3 years ago for 4 nights and took about 60 images, of which I would say 5 were wall-hangers. I couldn't justify a 5k trip just for one image, but I guess if you are commissioned its a different storey. As always great vlog and superb images.
Ian Brown i think there are different ways to look at it. I think he is right to say as long as there is 1 good image the trip is a success. You always hope for more, but its not always the case. Weather, gear, transportation, amongst other things might get in the way. Also sometimes its easy to get wrapped up in trying to find the right image that you lose track of what remarkable things are around you. On the flipside, you can just snap away and well your composition is off just a little, or the settings are wrong that you arent able to get good images. All about finding that balance.
Most photographers these days just capture as many images as they can pick one of those to show but I doubt that kind of photographing skills or lack of it..Really love your style because you have an image in your mind even before you capture actual one.
I love the way Thomas takes you on a journey. So happy that Wex are sponsoring him as I think his images and storytelling are quite special ❤️

and I'll carry his bag;)
Planning on heading back in late May. I enjoyed your visit and a free as to how hard it is to catch the light in Zion.
It's such a challenge to sit and wait on the light hit just right, BUT when you discover how to do it, it's an incredible experience.
briliant
I like the first one. It's amazing

I leave mine around too. I'm too easily distracted :). Great advice!
Subscribed to Wex :D
Top video, greetings from the warm Dubai.
Great stuff...can I ask whats the name of the soundtrack for this video?
Out of interest, is there any reason you didn't bracket that lovely shot of the tree?
Wildlife can be slow peaceful and hectic in that way, especially with an old manual focus lens.
Does Thomas know you are using his video?
Send this guy to the Grand Canyon next
It would be great if you made this a yearly commission. Somewhere different each time but ALWAYS Tom of course

I really struggle with the idea of taking one or two images a day.
Dam... beaten again 🙈
Great video and a real boon to Sex to have him.
First!
