    Every time a person that makes UA-cam videos respond to one of my comments. I feel happy and fascinated at the the same time. Because we live in a world in wich I write you a message from germany.And you recieve it in America in real time and respond to this with a video or comment. It´s great !

    6:00 that's really cool, I didn't know about that future but that would be really helpful. I always thought that once the orders were purged from BrickLink, the files were gone. That's got to be one busy set of servers at BrickLink HQ

    I have watched your videos for a really long time and love your insight into running a Bricklink store. It's something I hope to do in the next year as a hobby just like you. I need an outlet for all my LEGO energy!! lol Your videos will be watched and rewatched for those pro tips as I begin my journey. Thank you!

    I only buy off of Bricklink and do not have a store. When I find a part I need, I check out the rest of the seller's store and see if there is anything else I would like to get, so as to make the order more worthwhile.

    I am shaking my head in disbelief :D Thank you(again) for showing me something on BrickLink that I never knew existed(the Orders Received - My orders page) I feel such a FooL(the other type) :D now. Can't believe I didn't see that before. You are a GOD(of LEGO knowledge) ;)

      @@BrickTsar Yeah there seems to be a lot of features on BrickLink. I should really explore it a bit more really but the only reason I don't press on everything on BrickLink is because I always think I will delete all my inventory :D :D :D That would be a FooL thing I would do :D Thanks again for this Video because it will save me a lot of time with doing my books and that. Nice 1 ;)

    Thank you so much for sharing your story & Bricklink journey , I myself love Lego as a hobby and me starting my Bricklink store was all about knowing that if I bought 2 or 3 it would eventually pay me for the one I wanted for my collection, not always this way I understand, and knowing there is profit in certain sets and when I can afford I buy sets for investment (researching Brinklinks going rates). As you said as a Lego fanatic I could close my store tomorrow & I'd be no worse off as I'd be happy to keep it all :D

    A few years back I stumbled across other UA-cam channels who were parting out brick sets. They would buy say 10 sets and pull them apart and store them in masses of containers like yours. I thought this is what some people did for fun, don't build sets just de-engineer them. They loved getting the 'rare' brick items. But I don't remember these people speaking about selling bricks. I found these channels when I was looking for storage ideas related to LEGO. Hmmm, isn't the NBA minifigures the only ones with painted on hair on the head pieces? Something special about them. It would be unviable to do this sort of brick business in Australia because of the very high cost of LEGO here, often double the price Vs USA.

    • @charadremur333

      Buy online from usa and upsell in Australia. Also how is the fire going, anny news?

    • @leokimvideo
      @leokimvideo 4 роки тому

      @@charadremur333 Sorry most sites have Australia blocked, also shipping basically doubles the price. So that idea doesn't work. The shipping cost of a larger set of LEGO to Oz can be has high as $30 to $40

    I opened my Bricklink store with 2 or 3 elements from the PAB wall and then forgot about it. My first buyer was from France and bought 1200 of one item. With my work travel, it was such a hassle that I closed it right after. Now that I have a job that allows me to be home, I'll be reopening the store.
    Sorry if it has been asked, but how do you decide what price to list parts for? Also, do you ever go through your inventory and readjust prices based on current market rates?

    How do you figure out which sets part out high returns besides seeing what they are parting for on Bricklink once there is data to go off of?

  • @x3n0s
    @x3n0s 3 роки тому

    Hello BrickTsar, about the parting out of sets. When the part out value is 2 to 3 times the price of the set that you paid for (so a rather good deal). How likely are you to sell all (or most of the parts) so that you do get a return on investement + some profit? And even more so if you put yourself in the perspective of a newcomer who will just be starting out (with say 1,000$ in set inventory to be parted out)? Thank you for your videos they are very informative. Take care.

    Hi
    Thank you for the great content
    I am mostly lego reseller but i always wanted parting out. I just like the process. In terms of total gross value i have currently in sets will be around 250k if in dollars. I am uk based.
    Question - would you think it is very bad idea stop selling the sets as the whole, instead part out every single set i have. Sets i have in possession are mostly popular sets. Although i do have some not so popular but those are in minority

    What is your system for keeping your personal pieces separate from your store? Do you, or TheyMightBeBricks, ever take store pieces and "borrow" them for your own builds and put them back in later?

    • @BrickTsar
      @BrickTsar  4 роки тому

      #bat - short answers (might include later in a video if I do not forget): It is easy to keep personal and Bricklink separate as they are literally separate. There is no mixing of the two. Yes TMBB regularly asks for parts. I take them out of the store. I generally do not put them back and if they for some reason do go back they will be listed as "used"

    Hi Again, Hey Jabbo have you noticed items getting deleted from your inventory. LEGO"Bricklink" has gone trough my store and deleted ALL non LEGO items. like CUSTOM items. BE CAREFUL. its in their new stupid terms of service just put out. They are certainly starting to ruin Bricklink for alot of people. I guess we need sell the custom stuff on ETSY or some other place.

    • @BrickTsar
      @BrickTsar  4 роки тому +1

      Actually I was one of those speaking out against BrickLink adding custom or third party items in the first place. Dan never wanted non LEGO items on the site and the old management went against that. So I’m one of those that’s is happy with this change. Sorry it has affected you
