    If i were to ever start a BrickLink Store, i would only sell Parts that i would buy myself. Basically like you said, things you would be ok with having leftover.

    • @BrickTsar
      @BrickTsar  6 років тому +10

      That is the fail safe answer. You cannot go wrong only buying stuff you like. We have talked about this in other topics unrelated to LEGO such as comic books, trading cards, diecast toys and other collectibles.

    When I was first starting out I would sell the minifigs on Ebay since the turn over was higher. Let me get capital back to build the store faster

    I always pick a store selling a lot of a specific part that I need for a MOC but after adding that I always go through looking for extra things I could use. I’m always adding single piece lots to my order which is why lot limited stores don’t work for me. Today I placed an order for 500 1x4 bricks and added 34 more lots most being single or a couple items. I’m always building large Mocs so I’ll definitely check out your store on my next order.

    My tip would be part out sets with licensed minifigs i.e. Star Wards or Superheros. Buy used lots with mainly bricks, plates, tiles - in my small store, standard building parts sell most frequently (although not necessarily for the most money)

    #bat Why don't you put different pieces in the same drawer? For instance, you have a lot of drawers that have less than 5 pieces. Why not put them together? If the pieces are different enough, you could easily separate them.

    Great photos with TheymightbeBricks on that roller coaster. One of my favorite things to do on those rides is to pose during photos. Thanks, Bricktsar for all your insights into Bricklink.

    It's not my store, but there is something weirdly satisfying about you getting empty drawers. I would love to place an order with you but postage to the UK, is a bit expensive. Which isn't your fault. Keep the PABLOs coming 👍🏻

    What a peculiar set of parts! I have no idea what they could be building with that? That was a great #BAT, really useful for people considering to do Bricklink but have low budgets! As I keep saying, I'm loving these PABLO videos!

    I buy a lot of clearance items. My best luck has been selling sets sealed vs parts. Had one parts order and the buyer asked to cancel it because they didn't expect shipping to be so high. It was $1.40 and I was probably robbing myself on it. But I carry on and it has helped me put cash toward stuff I want.

    #BAT Do you think that it's better to sell just minifigures and polybags on bricklink or ebay? I have 100s of figures extra from buying sets for MOCing parts and polybags from clearance sales.

    What are those storage drawers called? And how would I find the same kind of thing in England? Maybe if you have a link, or search term, for a USA website, I can find one in the UK.

    I can't remember if it was on one of your videos or someone else's but I recall it being said that the Tower Bridge set 10214 is a good set to start with for parting out because it has lots of the same parts in large quantities and because a lot of them are tan parts they are of interest to Star Wars MOC builders.

    Nice to see you get lots of order's on bricklink and nice information! Speaking about millennium falcon we finally seen solo yesterday, which was pretty awesome! Also are Six flags in So Cal, had one of your rides in which I went on back in the 90's. It 's called Z force and they changed it to flashback, it really gave me whiplash!

    • @BrickTsar
      @BrickTsar  6 років тому +1

      Oh man! I still remember them putting that ride in Six Flags and then taking it out. When they took it out they drained the lake. We had to "rescue" some fish that got stranded in the mud (they would stink if they died). One of the funniest things I ever saw was my workmate Jeff chasing a giant carp that was skimming across the mud. Wish we had cameras handy back then.

    Hey Joseph, with your issue of having one part per drawer, would you not review your store where you look at everything you have one part of then see if you have the same part but different again only one off then just put both items into the one drawer thereby making it easier. ie two 2x4 bricks one in red one in black just but them in one drawer, thereby freeing up drawers.

    • @BrickTsar
      @BrickTsar  6 років тому +2

      That is a very good idea. We did a live stream tonight and apparently a lot of people took it upon themselves to by lots of 1 item - lol! We cleared about 100 drawers today!

  • @johntessemaker4998

    Just give the one part away of they order 19 and leave 1, gives you a good karma and usually a good feedback and leaves your drawers free. Or make a bigger box and call it 'one part box' and dump it all in there :)

  • @sand8able
    @sand8able 6 років тому +1

    Hi once you empty a draw I assume you place different parts in that draw. How do you then change the item on brick link ??. Do you have to erase and then list new item.

    • @pbbricks7470
      @pbbricks7470 6 років тому +1

      It goes automatically, when there are no more pieces in a lot, you can choose a setting in BL that makes the lot disappear from that drawer and therefore makes place for a new lot. So the settings in BL do that for You.
