One of my favorite brands/collections is the Labo apparel line made by the Japanese company, MUJI. It can be hard to find in the US, but I love that most of its pieces are designed to be worn not only by all genders, but by all ages too. I'm finding it so liberating to wear clothes that were not designed to make me look more like the "ideal" masculine shape.
I dress this way as well. I love it so much. Started a couple years ago and honestly you were an influence on that. I remember a video of yours talking about the perfect black t-shirt. I found mine after lots of trial and error. It’s the all yours tee from lululemon. Thanks for sharing! And inspiring others!
I do not care about what people wear, But the outfit that made me go "Ooooh" Was at 0:29-0:31, the brown bag on black overcoat one, where The outfit appeared classy and was a new color combo for you. 😃 You want to know a neat clothing piece I got for Christmas? One of my brothers got me a t-shirt of the Frankfurt Galaxy! 😎 That's an American football 🏈 team from Germany, and it's Purple & white, which isn't a color combination that's ever been on me Since those are the colors of the Minnesota Vikings. 😂 It's different, But they're also the hues of a school that I film, so I can wear it to work in. 😁 It was a totally unexpected present, one I'd not conceived of prior, Which makes it even cooler in my eyes to own, to sport, and to inspire. 😊
Good to see you back! I used to wear black and as a change from that black. But then I got a dog. My lovely hound is now long departed but I do a lot of dog sitting for folks. I adopted a very similar wardrobe but in grey and grey marl, which shows less dog hairs ( yea!). However, doing a lot of dog walking i have 3x these many clothes so that I only use the washing machine once a week. The idea being - one set on - one set in the wash - one set dry and in the wardrobe ready to go. In the UK the sun doesn't always shine so the idea of washing clothes everyday and drying in warmth and sunshine is a non starter. I wont own a dryer. Firstly the cost of running one and secondly to save the planet a bit and thirdly because they wear out your clothes faster. Some of my classic items are 20+ years old.

I think I have a capsule wardrobe but only because I hate buying clothes. I only get stuff like new jeans because the one I have got worn out or stopped fitting me. 1 pair of running shoes that I wear (1 pair of snow boots which still look new after 10 years because I only wear it when it would be needed). 1 type of sock (black no-show) but lots of them, well, plus some wool ones to go with the boots which are like new for the same reason. 1 pair of jeans. 1 pair of shorts. 1 type of underwear (but lots of them). Maybe a dozen different t-shirts. A few polo shirts, mostly in case I go in the office. Might have to get more later though, when the pandemic ends. I just realized I probably have too many coats and hoodies though. I lost my hat.
I love this! Not sure if you'll see this or if it's alright to ask but around how many do you have of each item? I also have an all black minimalist wardrobe but I have like 3-5 repeats per item and as someone with limited space I'm trying to figure out how many I can survive on, if that makes sense
Hi, Cas! I do my laundry once a week, so I have enough to get me through until then. If I wanted to do laundry once every 2 weeks, I assume I'd own twice as much!

I love black clothes..but how do you keep them from getting linty? I dread washing my black items bc I know they'll come out hella linty. Even with a lint brush, it's still linty.

LOL Hmm black and one primary colour can be good as well - had an artist buddy who used to sport that sort of look. Ever read any of the William Gibson books about cool hunters (Pattern Recognition )? There is this character who wares brand stuff, but has to scrub off the brand logos - I feel a bit like her with regard this sort of "Sporting the look" type approach .... much prefer the mysterious approach or the "Oh this old thing?" Can't remember where I picked it up type approach - but thats just Steve the mad cat man..... Glad your back BTW and safe!

With this much clothing, how often do you have to do laundry I’ve noticed if people don’t like doing laundry they have more clothing, to be able to push off doing it for longer

I feel weirdly guilty gravitating toward all black - I can't discern if the inclination is a practical preference or laziness. Maybe both, and maybe that's fine!
I wash on cool or cold and rarely use a drier! I find air-drying most things on a rack helps them to retain their dark color pretty much forever (and you save money!).
So much black! Nothing wrong with a few different block colours to mix and match with. Some lighter colours so you don't melt in summer. Have you always worn mostly black? It suits you though. Personally I find just a bit of colour now and then really cheers me up.
