did buy it earlier today to upgrade my Newfangled package. After watching this video I am excited to go to the studio and test it out, looks and sounds very good like most Newfangled stuff
very clear...very stable interface...which is becoming an issue with a lot developers (which i won't name.... they know who they are)....but using trendy new graphics protocols which disintegrates the GUI is super important today. ...apparently. Thank you Newfangled for not being one of those. plus a ton of super presets and it just sounds great and easy on the CPU....make it 51.
Back with a final verdict. This plugin sounds extremely good. It is also innovative and very easy to use. I have never been able to shape delays at this level.

Really nice this one, particularly liked the quality reverb, transient, drive options and granular mode, plus one screen interface with nice snap options. Compared to Timeless I think they missed a couple of useful "creative delay" tricks by not making it multi-tap (insert taps anywhere) and it has no LFO to modulate the filter or delay points,. The drive also causes a loud outburst when turned off. Still, there's enough new here to get it and its very instantly gratifying and easy to get around. Edit: Recirculate is pretty CPU heavy, one instance is 13% vs Timeless 2% on my system.
The versatility and useful is so well thought out. The more I hear it I'm hearing dark metallic overtones and undertones. Even on the warm drive setting. Maybe a warm verb, comp or tape emulation afterwards could warm it up?
The transient part is pretty cool, with compress, ducking, spread, chorus and reverb, this plugin feels like they talked to some Electronic Producers and thats the market they're aiming for with all the features.. The stepped control is smart too.
No way, Late Replies is way better. This doesn't even have basic filter resonance. Late replies has a step sequencer amongst many other things, and allows various plugins to be put on the taps, as well as ANY vst plugin on the taps.
I think with delay plugins, the more options and the more complex, the worse they become. I have many delay plugins and yet I use Logic's stock echo 99% of the time.
Great demo Marlon. There's a lot of options, dynamics being an interesting addition. I am also drawn to Newfangled clipper, haven't gotten it yet though. Right now I'm getting reverb and delay within my Relab Development LX480 V4 Dual Engine via a modified preset, giving twin delay and Random Hall HD in stereo split routing. Clipping via LVC Clipped-MAX. Newfangled though is on the wish list.
So how's everyone dealing with the cpu usage on this thing? At idle in a ProTools track I'm seeing a 20 point increase. Not to mention the preset names are not recalled although supposedly the control settings have not changed. PLEASE use the demo before purchase.
So even with all that great delay visualization in the center, this doesn’t have a tap delay function where you can take control of individual delay hits?
Those have multiple playback head for delay, up to 3. This one has 2 delay taps to work work , it does self oscillate and had the filter + distortion to get a very convincing imitation. If you want the real flavour and vibe i'd grab an echoplex emulation for sure.
This one has several additional features actually and better workflow is important to a lot of people. Without technical advancement we would still only be using physical tape delays.
I thought we concluded i have heard all delays in your previous video. Why do you do this to me? My daw took too long to launch cause of plugin scanning and today i removed 122 Plugins (i kid you not),. Now i have only 555 left and also much better than last year when the number was 1300+. And now you come with new plugins again. I feel like a proud salmon swimming against the emulations current
aa ok, all good. I was suprised and distracted me while listening. Since I'm blind my only reference point is audio so its a bit more noticible to me maybe as I cant see the screen haha.
Just taking one featured track in a mix through various automated paces with this will sound totally organic and modern. I can't wait to try.

This is regular delay with fancy UI
I prefer to use delay from DAW (simple and powerful) and "Deelay" plugin (free and very flexible)

People acting like this new plugin is revolutionary or something. It's basically Logic's Delay Designer with a different skin.
