Nice video. If I’m not mistaken, my recollection of that tragic fan suicide was that it was young boy-making it even more tragic. I can’t say that my memory 100% accurate on that, but that’s what I seem to recall. There was another child who died from a choking incident involving a Galactica toy that caused controversy and legal problems, as well.
I liked the original series better than the most resent one. The main thing that hit me about the resent series is that after the first Cylon attack, the characters were fighting amongst them selves. In the real world, during those types of emergencies, a from of "Siege Mentality" takes over. Anyone who remembers 9/11 saw this happen. The normal infighting that we normally see, didn't resume until after a couple of weeks.
That's exactly why I like the reboot series, even Caprica. They actually had character development you could relate with. To me IMO, the original was childish. I kept expecting Hoss, and Little Joe to ride up and save the damn fleet. That actually woulda been great, "Bonanza, The Next Generation." Only reason I didn't bring up EJO from Miami Vice, was that he was already old n' fat in reboot Galactica, and looked like an old Officer ready to retire. The dynamic between Adama, Lee, & Roslin (she, as president, promoted him to the fleet admiral) was so bad at first, then grows to so good only to have it ripped away from him in the last episode. I honestly thought he was crying so hard, he would crash his shuttle to end it all for him. It ripped out his heart. The great reveal of who were actually cylons all along was shocking, even for them. And if course than mankund creates tge cylins to be a slave race that ends up revolting, so the whole time the humans were the actualy bad guys. It was a damn mirror to actual political circumstances in the early 2000's.
I was 9 years old when this was on TV. It was one of my favorite shows! I was very disappointed when it was canceled....

I figured Larson was a Mormon when I first saw the show (first time it was on TV... I'm old).

They need more alien if they do a remake.
Only Dirk Benedict could be Starbuck. The remake was awful in this sense. Really, AWFUL.
First! So I wasn't the only kid who get a crush on Jane Seymour during this show!
Syfy reboot was garbage. Didn't have the epic feel of original. Shaky cam was so annoying, felt like another franchise jar jar Abrams was pissing on
The original had positive characters, heroism, ............. the reboot was ..... PATHETIC !
