I used to translate every word in English 5 years ago. As time passed I'was getting used to listening whole sentences without having to translate anything. Now, finally, I'm used to thinking in English.

I used to think that I would never learn how to speak in English because I was used to think negatively . Now everything has changed . As I started changing my mindset, studying every single day a miracle happened. I am getting used to the language, to the sounds, to the rules and it's been extremely pleasant. So if you feel unconfortable, just don't give up.

We always need 'ing' or a noun after 'get used to'. It's the grammatical rule.
We can use 'get used to' with another verb.
I DID get used to the weather (noun).
I WILL get used to waking (ing form) up early.
You CAN get used to teaching (ing form) online quickly.
There is a lot of flexibility with 'get used to'. ;)

It is not what you say,it is how you say it.Never forget that.
