Honestly, no. Our lasers are all enclosed, so we don't need safety glasses. We also don't have experience with diode lasers. If you purchased one, I would have thought it would come with glasses?

You can try engraving shallower. Just barely etch the surface. Depending on the application, you could also just lightly vector cut the mask and peel away the design (use mask like a stencil) and then paint.
Isn’t faux leather dangerous to cut as it contains PVC?

How do you stop paint from spreading in the etched acrylic? Wherever i paint acrylic, the paint is drawn into microcracks around the ethced area....
