- In this video I make a new End Grain cutting board with a design I created.
the cutting board has a number of different exotic woods in it and the pattern is done using a flip method which you will see me do in the video.

Hello sir! Your video appeared as a suggestion for me, and watching your videos I really liked your work. Congratulations and keep going. You just got a subscriber from Brazil, by the way. Best Regards.
Hello Brazil 🇧🇷:) welcome to my channel.
M8 that's sweet looking board there's 300 quid board anyway with the species in there. Need pick your brain if u don't mind. Am into a shop space getting it set up which is great but am having dust extraction issues a noticed at least your plainer thicknesser is 100mm pipe can I ask about what you've done to run table saw my problem is my thicknesser and table saw are 38/40mm ports but the system is 100mm. Other thing a always thought inch was 25mm🤔 and rubber spatula from bm couple quid works a treat for glue spreader 👍🏴
Hey Michael - hope the workshop set up is going well.
to be honest my extraction system is one of the poorest you can get lol.
my hose from the hoover doesnt fit properly over the planer/thicknesser, i have to force it on which splits the hose a little each time.
the table saw i believe is the same around 40mm, but i just hang the hose on the end of that and it seems to get the worse of it.
I will be updating all my extraction this year, so will do a vid on that, it gets mighty dusty in my workshop hence I bought the new palm sander. almost no dust was coming off that. :)
your right according to google, 1" = 25.4mm :)
@@hazelnutwoodcraft fair enough it was more for fixings and fittings I take it a am right it is 100mm for the plainer? Do u find u get many blocks with the 40mm pipe?? That'll be good one. Look at centec system and check out m8 mine mark at startmaking woodworking guy down south he's done a dust extraction set up video. Might get few tips from there. A did wonder about the 1" thought the sawmill a worked in had been lying to me all along 🤣
@@michaelwillson6847 not had any blocks yet. but that might be because I have not yet spent serious time in one hit on it putting though loads of wood. I will check the centec system...Thanks :)
@@hazelnutwoodcraft no worries man startmaking woodworking does a video of the centec system and his set up. Worth a look.
Anyone else find that if you use your finger to spread the glue your phone fingerprint detection doesn't work? Even after a good wash it's still hit or miss. Beautiful board, btw.
“Hecho en México 🇲🇽 “ apá
Is it 4/4" or 8/4"
hey Tommy, sorry I dont understand the question. is what 4/4 or 8/4". do you mean the board size?
@@hazelnutwoodcraft yes the board thickness
@@tommyparker6187 ah ok. So it’s 1 1/4” thickness
Hey, nice cutting board sir! It looks like the maker took 3/4" stock and lamented them together before milling it down to 5/4" quarter thickness.
What were your starting and finished dimensions? Beautiful board. I’m just starting and would love to try this.
25.4mm actually
