I have a deep connection to this song, album, and to many of Yes' works. Some people listen to Yes and they don't get it, the lyrics don't make sense, the songs are too long, but me and many others feel some kind of spiritual connection to these works. Especially this one...
most definately especially this album its a higher state of existence too few in our society can understand have held this album and close to the edge always in high regard
Walked through a light snow to the record store as a youngster to bring this work of art home. Curled up with it through a blizzard and was taken to a place that I hoped to never have to return from. The world was full of hope back then.
Honestly believed we all might walk through the open door to peace and harmony whilst hearing these guys.. where on earth have we gone so DESPERATELY wrong?
i went to see Yes three nights in a row in 1977 . i left early on the third night and next day went and got my head shaved and became a punk. this is the first time i`ve listened to Yes since then and i now remember why i did that and also remember why i liked them too
I bought this album in 1986. It left a tremendous impact on me. It still has to this day. I was 15 at the time and beginning my course to my nervous breakdown which left me hospitalized in 1988. I was allowed to play my bass to this song and many other YES songs on my road to recovery, while still hospitalized.
Jason Montz sounds like you're doing better my friend mine was.in 2008 lost my wife, job,.house, Josie my 15 yr old shitz zu , but I give thanks to God he.pulled me through it doing much better.now
I was also 15 when I bought my first (one of several) Tales from Topographic Oceans. But it was in 73! Jason, can you imagine the punch in the stomach? At the time, there was nothing else like this, except for Close to the Edge, and Fragile, and The Yes Album... It blew my mind, till today. I forget it for a while, then I remember Tales, and an urge rises, only passing when I get to listen to it one more time. And every time is awesome!
because of God and music I stayed out of the hospital since 1996 and i'm still in recovery from my drama. so i dig into Yes' Drama Machine Messiah I recommend.
Fortunately any "Yes" music is healing. At much expense Yes brought an orchestra on tour with them and you should view and listen to those UA-cam videos.
J ai acheté cet album il y a quarante ans , déjà ! Et je ne m en lasse toujours pas, i saw yes in 76 to Paris, concert incredible, and they played all album , four " faces" really magic, there was angels Who flying over me ! Yes yes!!!
True believers remember when this song started at 1:57 . Hearing all the previously unreleased intro one can barely fathom the amount of stuff recorded left on the floor
When I was working 3rd Shift and didn't start my week till 11pm Monday, I'd show up at a bar at 8am that had free pool, get a 20oz draft beer for $2, put this on the jukebox, and practice pool to this beautiful music. I think the bartender actually started to like it. I got my $1 worth of music!
Pure perfection. An album that has meaning. Meaning that everyone of us can apply to ourselves to make us better people. And love for you and you and you.
Very lovefull komposition, such as never heard:Than i never heard such a music about "The revealing science of God" since now:Or:Who ever in our Century made such a music like this? Yes was singing vom the eternal wisdom or science of God:Really, whereever heard someone from singing about Sophia, Wisdom of God, -this is:The revealing science of God?Now, let us go around and look, if we can find this almost fullloved Sister, who ist Wisdom, Sapientia, sophia?Ich sah sie schon.I´m knowing this great song since many years, since I was young. And I´m saying, that on modern pop-soft-rock we cannot find many peaces like this. What I´m meaning:The revealing, the God rvealing science, Wisdom, we learned hear to love very very much. Greatings Thomas
"I must have waited all my life for this Moment moment,---" so zitiere ich aus der Komposition- so I a´m speaking about this great song: I think, this is sayed in best way.The absolutely actuality may be only a little Moment: Waiting for this Moment of Coming in the Light: I like this. Because so it is .After having heard the Word of the only One.Ich mußte fast mein Leben lang für diesen kleinen Moment warten:So zitiere ich das auf Deutsch: Aber so ist das.
We must have waited all our lives for this .... Past present movers moments will process the future but only thru Him we know send flowered rainbows .. apiece apart chase flowers of the dark and light of songs to follow and show all We feel for and know of .. cast 'round ......... You seekers of the truth accepting that reasons will relive and breathe and hope and chase and Love for You and You and You
Quite a few firsts for me with this album. I was in the Air Force in Louisiana just about the time this album came out. Although I was already a major Yes fan this day was the first time I heard this album, the first time I played tennis, the first time I did magic mushrooms, and the first time I shed a tear at the beauty of music. That was nearly fifty years ago but I still remember that day! Shrooms first then tennis then Yes then the tears of joy! Crazy times, lucky we made it out alive.
Knowing that You are there is all that really matters So many people do not like Yes I worked with a person that did not like them . Then knowing their taste in music it was no wonder ... well God Bless haha that was a long time ago Love You hearts Looking forward to autumn with You
I saw them in concert back in the 70s and they were well ahead of there time, and today, still bloody awsome, I had hair then..little less now, but the ears still work lol lol
I don't know why but at 10:07 when Jon starts to vocalize along with Howe's guitar I get very emotional...it's like the souls of the dead are being lifted from Earth to eternal peace by "the shaman" Jon Anderson (or something around those lines)...and then the beautiful mellotron afterwards sends shivers.
This is highest order “Progressive Rock”. In fact, on this album (and especially with this track) “Yes” evolved “Progressive Rock” into the new genre of “Jazz-Classi-Delic”. Absolute sonic brilliance!
For a brief time in 1973, rock music was classical music. It had never happened before, and it was never to happen again (except for about 15 and a half minutes in 1977).
Call out all our memories we move fast we need Love a part we offer is our only freedom ........................ I bought the album it in the winter 1979 (together with Yesterdays), I put it on the turntable while through my window (at the 4th floor) I could see a wide snowy landscape. Well that album was a perfefct soundtrack for that scenario. Calm parts embodied that muffled picture while other more "lively" bits of music recalled to me other natural images ...like the ones in the inner cover of the album. All sounded so "right", and still today, listening that music I get the same feelings and atmospheres. The best music-piece to listen with a snowy landscape among is the slow minimoog-solo that repeats itself in "The Remembering" it is very "himalyan"
Wonderful comment, Sir ! I can only imagine myself near by you in that poetical landscape that you have described ! You have a soul of a POET ... and maybe you are a poet.. Nevertheless, I loved your comment as much as I love the YES music ! I wish you a long and happy life in that fantastic imagine you described, along with all the people you love and appreciate ! I can say you are a magnificent person !!!! My best regards from Romania, GELU BATIR, rm.Valcea Town, 1st of Feb 2020

I bought this on the day that it was released in the record shop, in December 1973, and loved it right away. The Revealing Science of God (Dance of the Dawn) was and is my favourite track on the album (followed by The Remembering (High the Memory). I didn't much care for The Ancient (Giants under the Sun) or Ritual (Nous Somme du Soleil). I loved that sleeve art and especially the interior, where the lyrics were printed. And those little photographs in the cool Roger Dean frames. It's 47 years old now and sounds a fresh as the day that I first heard it. A really moving track that has played in my mind throughout my life. They couldn't have done this without Rick Wakeman who gives the album such depth and atmosphere. Ironic really, as he disliked it and referred to it as "Toby's Graphic Go-Cart". The best part of The Revealing Science... is from 15:00 onwards, especially the spine-tingling part at 18:42 climaxing at 19:12.

I am surprised to hear the first two minutes of this song. All my copies, vinil and cd, start with the vocals. Is this the Rhino edition? Well, I have a fine excuse to buy another copy. Listen to this with little interruption since 73!
HI, MR. JOSE ANDRADE ! You have a nice taste in music and it seems to me that you are a very fine connaisseur of YES music ! MAY GOD BLESS YOU, YOUR FAMILY AND ALL YOUR FRIENDS ! You are a very nice person ! My best regards from Romania, GELU BATIR, Rm. Valcea Town, 1st of Feb 2020

yeah, it's spiritual. it doesn't need religion only a relationship with God in you.
most definately especially this album its a higher state of existence too few in our society can understand have held this album and close to the edge always in high regard
Listened to this album overandoverandoverandover in high school. Saw them for the album’s tour. We have Heaven.
Only to a weak narrow mind are Yes song too long and don't make sense!!!!!! Im just saying
Jamfjr i get the same feeling listening to awaken. Feels like you’re soul-bound to it or something.
Walked through a light snow to the record store as a youngster to bring this work of art home. Curled up with it through a blizzard and was taken to a place that I hoped to never have to return from. The world was full of hope back then.
Yeah, life is hopeless. At least we get to listen to YES.
Gracias, tu historia me recuerda a la primera vez que lo escuche, desde entonces es mi album favorito
Hope always abound in this life or the next .... we are here to learn . Live well - love deeply - leave a small footprint .... peace .
Honestly believed we all might walk through the open door to peace and harmony whilst hearing these guys.. where on earth have we gone so DESPERATELY wrong?
Beautiful epic piece of music, very dreamlike as if I just left my body for 20 minutes, amazing musical chemistry and sublime vocals.
i went to see Yes three nights in a row in 1977 . i left early on the third night and next day went and got my head shaved and became a punk. this is the first time i`ve listened to Yes since then and i now remember why i did that and also remember why i liked them too

One of the greatest songs of all time! Definitely is the best song in this album
Agreed! Very mystical and poetic too.
most assuredly
The tune that opened my soul.....to the Universe....
Epic, beautiful, majestic!
YES - masters of eternal music; this song is the perfet example! Know them from the beginning: 1969! Greetings from lisbon to all good taste YES fans!
My all time fave YES album, Bought when first came out. Amazing band. RIP Chris
"What happened to this song we once knew so well" is as much powerful as "I Get Up, I Get Down"
As much ? Way more.
yes has always been true and great artists
Tbh I prefer this over Close To The Edge
The opening vocal chant is just too cool.
One of the most beautiful songs ever
All time favorite song .........
True believers remember when this song started at 1:57 .
Hearing all the previously unreleased intro
one can barely fathom the amount of stuff recorded
left on the floor
I’ve probably listened to this over a million times and enjoy every note! What a masterpiece!
from Brasil. 28 years after that I'd heard this album for the first time i felt in love in love with this song again.
Thank you for the upload; I grew up listening to this music.
Me too
When I was working 3rd Shift and didn't start my week till 11pm Monday, I'd show up at a bar at 8am that had free pool, get a 20oz draft beer for $2, put this on the jukebox, and practice pool to this beautiful music. I think the bartender actually started to like it.
I got my $1 worth of music!
Pretty neat story😊
A masterpiece from the deepest as music can be.
excluding classical
J Abr Only Yes can make music that makes no sense with lyrics but still make the song sound awesome and the lyrics still poetic
DrHokeyPokey , La musique classique était triée et sélectionnée par le roi. Une sorte de musique populaire finalement ? Quand est il de Yes ?
DrHokeyPokey it’s not a competition.
absolutely this album has always amazed me
Never will there ever be another Will always Love this band rest in peace Chris and Steve howl thank you for your great work I love you all
Pure perfection. An album that has meaning. Meaning that everyone of us can apply to ourselves to make us better people. And love for you and you and you.
the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy and peace against which there is no law.
great comment my friend
New Age rap is the only thing with meaning
And you. There’s only one real word, and that’s “yes.”
Love the way you put that blessings and blessings
Quintessensial Prog rock song right here!!!!!!
We move fast
We need Love
A part we offer is our only
freedom !
Prog rock just won't stop giving... if only 50 years later...
They move fast
They tell me....

Mentes prodigiosas se unieron, si, Yes!!
We say yes to Yes.
I bought this album in 1980 among other albums they had out at the time ..I did not regret EVER ;)
TFTO is for me the best Yes album, and fuck the haters!
What a perfect album cover to the perfect album! Takes you into another realm of existence.
I think it takes us further into our own realm, deeper in the everyday-reality we dont see nor understand well
The album cover is the best from all yes albums ! One of the best (if not the best) covers in the progressive music.
Masterpiece! I love this song!
Their best song . Undeniably one of the best songs ever realized
Some of us young still feel the call. The music won't die.

Cleaned a lot of weed on this album cover 🐴
haha no one can say Yes wasn't multi faceted
Music that is spiritual. Music that connects one ☝️ with the Realm above.
i was born in '73 and my favorite time of day is dawn before i can see people as i savor my Christmas lights and coffee with music in headphones.
No other band could reach this plateau
That seems to be true. Greetings
Squires bass is so damn good on this lp...the rig the sound ...damn.
I don't know why some people say this album is bad, for me it's like waving, i love it
Maybe i'm an ignorant fool, but who cares amirite

ONE OF THE BEST
Amazing to realize how young they were when they composed this album...
Música sublime !

Floyd led me to Yes or was that the other way around? I don't remember!
The souls of the dead are being lifted from earth to eternal peace. :)
You have great taste

Awesome.
Esta canción y la variación 1 de J.S.Bach deberían ser enviadas al espacio para mandar un mensaje de la humanidad a otras civilizaciones ♥️
Best Song ever written
Ricks solo ....... OMFG that synth solo could NEVER be matched :O wow
Sharp and tender Love ........

Way before I smoked any weed ... this was my favorite song
É tipo de som que te leva lá pra cima é único.
Classic Yes. Nuff said
6:20
Gives me goosebumps, always
and for a moment when our world had filled the skies ...
For a brief time in 1973, rock music was classical music. It had never happened before, and it was never to happen again (except for about 15 and a half minutes in 1977).
I DONT AGREE WITH THIS SILLY COMENT YES HAVE BEEN USING CLASSICAL TOUCHES FOR FUCKING 1970
This sounded so promising back then. Glimpses of a true merge with symphonic format. I admired that (over?)- ambition and was hoping for more.
Yes got me into Diamond strange to say. i recommend Jonathan Livingston Seagull 1973
Try The Flower Kings. Listen to their songs like Stardust We Are and The Truth Will Set You Free
haha you r referring to ' Awaken ' probably ... but u r silly
The album artwork is fantastic and stimulates the mind in a special direction to Yes Music.
12:10 I guess that's how heaven sounds like
The sounds that they bring to us from the Astral Planes
Only tunes of a different age !
As the links span our endless caresses

Sharp and tender love ...as we took to the air ......
a picture of distance .............
I'm Never NOT moved by this. And I've heard it since it was *first* released.., on 'vinyl' (of course.)
Carrion Torch since release? How old were you when you bought it and expanded your awesome taste in music?
I would've been about 12. But I didn't buy it. My older siblings turned me on to Yes even before the "Tales..." album came out.
The same with me. It is amazing.
Vinyl is back but i have a phobia of scratches that a cloth cannot wipe away.
Maybe you should not listen this kind of music ! Perhaps it is too difficult for you ! Gelu Batir from Romania, Rm.Valcea Town, 1st of Feb 2020
The blare bass drone that meets the rising keys at 3:28 will forever
be seared in true believers heads
'This' has made me a man! From when I very first heard TFTO..My life was always destined......

some of steve howe's best guitar work, and writing.
I have always loved what Rick Wakeman did on Tales. Some of his truly most inventive and creative work. Too bad he is such a toadstool about it.
having a toadstool! this is new for my own piece. Peace!
jjcreator.blogspot.com yeah, someone will see to it.

The light we were as one and crowded through curtains
of liquid into sun
Almost forgot what great headphone and eyes closed music they put out.
Dawn of the light lying between a silence and sold sources
Chased amid fusions of wonder
In moments hardly seen forgotten
Coloured in pastures of chance dancing
Leaves cast spells of challenge .. amused but real in thought..
We fled from the sea....
whole
Dawn of thought transferred through moments of days undersearching earth
Revealing corridors of time provoking memories disjointed but with purpose
Craving penetrations offer links to the self instructors sharp and tender Love
as We took to the air
A picture of distance ........
Dawn of our power We amuse redescending as fast as misused expression
as only to teach Love as to reveal passion chasing late into corners
and We danced from the ocean

Yes that's true
I remember trading in several albums against a 2nd-hand copy of TFTO back in 1978. I still have that album.
Got this album it's somewhere in this house got to find it 😕
Que genialidad por dios.
Would have loved to seen them making this album
Only tunes of a different age !!
as the sound began to play >>>>
I bought this on the day that it was released in the record shop, in December 1973, and loved it right away.
The Revealing Science of God (Dance of the Dawn) was and is my favourite track on the album (followed by The Remembering (High the Memory).
I didn't much care for The Ancient (Giants under the Sun) or Ritual (Nous Somme du Soleil).
I loved that sleeve art and especially the interior, where the lyrics were printed. And those little photographs in the cool Roger Dean frames.
