it makes sense for her to stay around the program she found so much success with. lots of our Olympian distance runners still are coached by their collegiate coaches, such as Ed Eyestone.
That was interesting. I got two takeaways from this year's champs. First, that snippet with Carrie and John (and I don't remember their sidekick's name) had a whiff of an audition about it. After all, if you want a commentator who has actually won the race you are commenting (like Carrie and Kara Goucher, for instance) the list of candidates is extremely short. Second, in the post-races by Tuohy and Henes I got a sense that The Old Fox may be grooming KT for a coaching job some day. She has more high level experience in championship racing under her belt at age 22 or 23 (?) than most D1 coaches ever experience as competitors. She is a born team player and a born leader, and a very smart cookie. If she runs pro through at least the '28 Olympiad, plus continues her tutelage in the gory details of coaching, plus gets herself a masters in athletics management, she will be Baby Shalane Flanagan, but more upbeat. Stay tuned.
I wish her well in 2025!!
Go Katelyn!!!!
Thanks for the Katelyn update. Please do the same for Abby Steiner.

Good luck, stay healthy. Love from Winona
Pro running is a different game for D1 NCAA student-athletes. Great athlete with full of potential.
